Party matching as trade advertisement

This is probably nothing new on other servers, but it is on Magmeld.

It started with one guy making a room to advertise. Then a couple more. Today there were 1-2 pages of trade advertisements and it's becoming a real pain to find the actual parties between all the trade ********.

This should be regulated. Allow us to give rooms a negative vote or something so they get moved down and/or get removed after a certain number of votes.

but then you'd have not nice fellows like myself giving legit groups a negative vote in order to spark rage and watch the hilarity ensue.

can't give the people power because i exist.

words like wtb/wtt/wts on party matching should be banned, as well on shout.
Like I'm always saying over the past 7 years...Why is there a trade channel if everyone's using Shout?
Do you think your announce it's "louder" being on "shout"?
Do you think you sell more?

About party matching there is another issue. I often see full parties.
Why, for the love of GOD, you would stay in party matching if you are not looking for anything.
It's just like the players who afk near GK. They stay there just to be ready to port when they feel like it.

I think the population will soon "evolve" into creatures with no brain. Maybe they will grow another hand to play a third box instead.

I suppose it would be easy enough to find a solution that had a certain resistance to depraved people like yourself. For instance implementing a minimum of 20-50 votes before a room is taken out of the list. Or a different solution altogether ...

People shout trades because a lot of people have the trade chat turn off. Also simply blocking certain "words" is way too easy to circumvent.

This is how they get around the low level chat ban. just make a char and "search for party"

i suggest you deal with it. advertising works. the more of it you do, the more money you make. simple as that.

if you don't understand that i was pointing out that others would do that and why it wouldn't work to give the people power then your a moron...

let me explain it to you this way "you know those commercials where the dude says IM YOUR BLIND SPOT or IM YOUR SATELLITE DISH and then tries to sell you car/home insurance after he's ****** everything up" ... yeah he's really not ACTUALLY your blindspot / satellite dish... just say'n dawg.
