Ive been looking at Lineage II since it went free to play and was wondering if a few players could answer a simple question for me before I go and download the game.
After playing other games from NCsoft, I know that bots run wild, so my question is... Are there a huge number of bot or is NC actually zapping them down as they appear.
Feedback would be great, and I might be seeing you all on soon :)
P.S A good newbie server suggestion would be great!

i haven't noticed many bots. there are a few however in higher lvl'n spots (i'd say around 80+ spots) but they're often easy to out smart (kill some mobs and leave ur drops SOME bots will stand their waiting to pick up ur 2k adena while u atk other groups).
- for the most part though dumb bots are welcomed and (smart ones) unlike the previously stated ones up there ^ wont pick up their drops thus free adena for you while u level close by.
Bartz is a good server to play on its fresh, new and you can always log on unlike some of the other servers which have major traffic jams with the login on weekends (so i'm told). btw the server is EST which is GMT - 5.
before lineage went free i played on some private servers, and in some of thems i saw bots..
but i never seen so many bots like here..
they are banned yeah, but before that they can stay days, or weeks on a spot...
im pretty sure that many of the top statics on the game are botters...
i even read on some post from magmel(the server im playing) that the hero othell rogue was banned for botting XD
so my conclusion is, bots are banned? -> yeah, but they stay lot of time before that...
bots get banned but apparently ncsoft has a difficult time either proving they are bots ven tho us as players find it painfully obvious apparently NCs criteria for a bot is not so black and white.
bots have always been a nuisance in L2 since prelude i remember seeing bots delvl themselves running to the guard dying ronly to be reborn in the center of town and doing it again, they have always been a nuisance in L2 and always will be
I started a new character last night on talking island and there was a line of toons going to each of the same NPC I need to talk with from 1 -20. Seemed like a non-stop flow of these new characters doing exactly the same movements through town. Just from what I saw in those 90 minutes I would say there were more "simulated players" than actual people behind those characters. What gets me is the AUDACITY of the people running these characters in such numbers all over Talking Island. I thought of locust (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YNy2R3hg2Q).
Such a shame, but what fun I had making my new Mentee characters.

Would not it be better magmel server without crabs (discomfort) of a super edited genocide clan q passes it using programs like jzranyer to go siege and q is not content with having aden q if you want all the castles and q server above them were equipped switching over server and exploiting the resources of those with bot nobody seems to have the guts to say so but it is actually involved in taxing in all cities and additional to kill when they please put their puppets q in case the castle presiso like Olympias clan AL magmel you need two things GENOCIDE MUSEUM NO STATUS: D comment
