Of course we are also working very hard to fix the current game bugs and to process all your valuable feedback. Although the above are only the top few of the various on-going issues, we want you to know that we hear all of your concerns and work on addressing each of them as soon and as best as possible.
As mentioned earlier, we have come a long way, but we are certainly not done! Many more good things are coming to the game. We aim to improve the Path to Awakening with more details and information about each level range that will better guide you in your journey. The next content update for Goddess of Destruction is also just around the corner and we will be able to give you more information about it in the very near future. In a nutshell, the next game update will greatly improve the level 80-85 range of game progression, and bring some new and exciting features! In addition to preparing new events for the general future, we are also very busy preparing new items for the L2 Galleria and L2 Store after collecting your feedback. Please continue to let us know what you would like to see or change in both stores.
This is a great time to start or return to the game. Set out on the Path to Awakening and embrace your destiny!
Truly yours,
Nico "Cryo" Coutant
Lineage II Producer
Two months later we still have the same issues, player base is declining (1000 players lost on all servers), there are rumors of possible Magmeld and Bartz server merge in near future, and, lets face it, this game became so **** boring. I used to love L2 cause this game had such a great diversity of classes and skills, it used to be a game where you could level in lots of places at late stage and do a lot of stuff. What does it look like now ? It's a striped down version of Aion, with limited number of locations to level between 85 and 99, and everything prior to GoD is now obsolete.
You play the good old game till 85, at faster pace then before. That is one of the funniest parts of the game. But when you hit awakening, game becomes one big boring mess of constant grind at harnak/kartia/teredor. Everything you learned about your class and all those skills before awakening goes down the drain. Now you need to learn the Aion way of playing. You don't believe me ? Go check some Aion classes. They are the same (except chain skills). Btw I hope you took Dark Elves or Orcs to play with, cause those have OP stats after awakening. Other races are just bull**** compared to previous two.
What's the point of having first, second, third class transfer now ? What's the point of playing this game, when it became a dumbed down version of Aion ? Do we gonna get another producer letter, introducing some new content, new changes, new stuff to keep us occupied for another 4 months ? It really makes me wander how they gonna tackle the problem with the new games coming up in May, how will they convince players to stay here and play L2 instead of going for Tera or Guild Wars 2 ? As far as I'm concerned, I would rather pay for both those games on monthly basis, instead of staying here and playing for free.

What proof do you have about the number of players lost or possible server mergers? If you are unhappy, you do know that Tera comes out in a month. Maybe that can be your new flavor of the month.
Hmm i should have read your whole post but i got frustrated halfway through. So here's the deal. Im a long time player, I have stuck it out for years and ALWAYS come back and will probably come back after my stay in Tera BUT.... Like you I am frustrated with L2.
The difference between you and I is that I dont expect this to be some western MMO with quests all over the place and easy mode raid bosses that I can que up for and finish in an hour. This is a game of polotics, pvp, and pure booty pounding grind. Yes it has gotten way too easy but there are still hints of the old L2 there that kept us playing for so long.
If you are feeling burnt out, dont post some sob story hopiong the dev will change the entire game into tera. Go play tera, take a much needed break, and see ya ina few months back here in L2. Look up pandamonium on Jagged Coast if you decide to take a break in L3... cough I mean Tera
Well, Aion is the most profitable game of NCSoft, followed by Lineage and Lineage 2 in third one. People say like if Aion were a complete failure lol.
Have you played Aion? It sucks compared to L2 and even WoW, it had a chance but they decided to take the worst features of all the games and combine it into one game

But what really matters is that Aion is the most profitable game of NC. Maybe only ArcheAge(same L1 creator) can beat Aion when it releases.

How does that matter? It doesn't.
I've been having fun playing some old lowbie alts of mine I've been so lamed out lol. I went from lvl 77 to 80 JUST doing daily and very minimal grinding in like a week and half. Mind you no grinding hardly. It took forever to get 80 before GoD, I was like wth this is really easy. It's at 85 that people suddenly realize the game is not so easy anymore and get annoyed. I do agree there is not much areas to xp and only one suitable for solo.
ETA: My thoughts about GoD is give it some time. Whenever major changes came to L2 I have always gave it a patch or two for things to settle in a be tweaked. Things change constantly so if you don't like it watch for new updates *shrug*

Aion was well on it's way to taking on WoW but the terrible grind (RNG and experience) along with the terrible support killed the game. If Aion is the biggest moneymaker for Ncwest then the company is in far worse shape then I realized.

Doing the "open secrets" daily is about impossible on chronos due to terrible spawn rates and too many players :(

It's not about NCwest, Aion is the most profitable NC game as a whole, maily in korea, the second one is Lineage, and Lineage 2 in third.

The game doesn't get harder at 85, it just suddenly takes 100x longer to progress, and that's the issue for many of the newer people. A lot of the people who came from PServers came from PServers with like 5x or higher rates in many cases and haven't really experienced the pre-HF 79+ grind, especially as a soloer. 86+ grind is relatively new to them.
It's not really the difficulty, but the time investment becomes unrealistic for a majority of people.
That's also why so many people are rerolling Wizards and Wynn Summoners. To faceroll PvE, but they're the same people also complaining about grouping issues because there are tons of those characters running around on every server, anyways...

Aion reflects korean players and society (luck and fortune) ideals. The game might have failed here, but it has major sucess in it's homeland.

I'm not new here I know this. Why you feel you must comment on everything is like stalking.
