I downloaded this game because I have seen it around for years and decided to give it a try. But I can't move and my character is always looking up at the ceiling. I assume it just like all other MMORPGs, but I can't look around or move. Need Help please!!!:confused:
I have heard of Lineage 2 for a while, but I never knew anyone that played it. And after playing for about an hour, I know why. This game is a mess. The controls are all screwed compared to every other MMORPG I've played, and I have played them all. I can't believe it's made it this long. I know there will be people defending this game, and more power to you. But if you play other MMORPGs, such as WOW (I don't even play that anymore), or LOTRO...ect..ect. You will be really messed up on this game. Good luck to all who play this. Way to confusing for me.

HAHA I think this about all the other games finding it completely annoying I have to use two hands in order to run/walk. L2 click and done.

You might want to take a look at the controls. It's point and click to move. The camera can be adjusted with holding the right mouse button down and moving the mouse.
This makes you sound like every other kid who started memos with wow. Most of us came from console rpgs to games like Diablo and lineage there were no wads games back then. Most of these games the click to move works well lineage 2 has always been screwed up with unresponsive movement getting stuck etc. So I admit it's trash and the game and gameplay leaves you wanting and expecting that freedom of movement. I will admit when wow first released I was hooked for like 3 months I was the idiot who was always doing flips while running and jumping around. Keyboard controls also add a new variable and some realism to combat. Wow could never touch the depth of l2 even in wows glory days of world pvp and hard leveling. But to be honest carebear vs carebear version you will probably now get more fun out of wow.
I do think moving in Aion is much better, never get stuck, no geo problems. But L2 was a start for many players in the MMO category and so it was needed to get "along" of how it is and so some mastered this art of point and click, that was atually well accept when L2 thrived.
I have similar feeling when i switch from L2 to another MMO. After first 3 minutes in Aion I wanted to ditch the game, cause I thought the controls (everything, from moving to chat) are totally ******ed.
The thing is, I overcomed it and learned how to play.
If such minor issue stops the OP, that means L2 is clearly not the game for him. And that's his loss, cause he is then stuck with crappy kiddy games :)
wow & Lotr's wasd control is what has messed people up.
L2 came out before these 2 games, & the mouse control is great.
I would never want to switch over to wasd control.
Me neither, A couple of years ago, I tried wow on a 10-day trial, I found the wasd controls infuriating, also when hitting a mob, when I turned around to seek my next target, I stopped hitting the mob... nah too frustrating for the group targetter. (I say targetter and not tank, as I usually tank, even when playing the SE (oops, old habits die hard)).
Coming from maplestory a game where you can pretty much play/grind without never touching the mouse (its pretty much only used for inventory) I did have a bit of a problem with the controls (alt+everything kinda sucks, plus typing being direct chat is kinda annoying) the enter to chat fixed all and have found both click and wasd useful (using arrows is awful at best).
