Apparently NCsoft in their infinite wisdom has made it impossible for people who are 40+ to do an alt and get mentee scrolls effectively telling a returning player they need to reroll if they want to be mentored.
Why in anyone's widsom did you think this was a good idea... Part of the reason I see a significant drop in mentees lately.

I don't know what you talking about. I was able to claim the certificate just fine on my Awakened toon. I even turned it into diplomas. Don't think it's a server thing because I am on the same server as you, Mr "oooh look everyone in TW, I's bought me a shiny new Skull Cranium Bow for cheeps but wow it's gonna cost me even more to put an SA on it". :P I think the game has it in for you, Sly. People in your clan getting hacked, you can't get stuff from the merchant. It's a conspiracy!! lol
You did something wrong. I made a noob yesterday and took the cert. Then I went telling people in fortuna/spez grps that I was new healer to game last week and showed them my noob hat! :D
Might I suggest having your inventory less than 80% (store your Skull Carniums at your friendly WH keeper) and/or having your inventory under weight. You have to remove the excess junk in the Merchant inventory (C shots, cool "NCSoft NINJA'd me" bamboo hat ((see what I did there?))) as I have learned the merchant can only store a certain number of items before it errors out.

There were no new updates to the Mentee Certificate. The item is still dimensional just like all of the items from the Path to Awakening. However, once you claim the Mentee Certificate on your character, you cannot transfer it again through the dimensional merchant.
apparently my clannie had too many items in Dimensional merchant which was the issue. Once he took some things out as that name i can't start to type suggested it worked fine.
Both clannies who had the issue was the same problem.

No, actually the thread does clarify that there was no change via Juji's post so for anyone else who suspects it is no longer working, this thread explains why they may be unable to pick up the cert very well :)
It might just prevent future posts like this, if *sigh* people would use the serch function lol :p
The age of "this is why I can't use soulshots in every blow" will begin anew due the price of crafting R-shots being too high for most people to handle.
