Just a word of warning. I have enchanted a lot and I know the odds. I also know about statistics and probabilities and that failing a few times usually only means you had bad luck.
However, I tried to make a new high-enchanted C grade weapon and blew 42 weapons without a single one even reaching +7. About on half of them Mentee Coin Stones to enhance the success rate by 18% was used.
I suspect the success rate of enchant weapon c to be similar to armor c at the moment. Believe it or not, try it yourself or not, but don't try to argue with me here. Also, stories of how you enchanted one weapon to +7 on first try yesterday will not really help :)
Incidentally I noticed that enchant weapon c scrolls are pretty much sold out in auction house, with the cheapest one being at 1m. Draw own conclusions oO
It depends if it was a mage wep or fighter weapon. But i am sure you know this.
But lemme tell you, i spend like 1 1/2 years ago ~ 150 ewc and didn't make a single DS/Homu to +7.
As Vesper been Top, i spend 6 Bews to get to +4 and failed each of them.
About GoD OE, well i had bad luck while OE my Apo Pole. Even with lucky stones i failed 9 of them while i tried to go to +7 (had 2x +6).
And you just state this as a fact while having absolutely no way of knowing if it is true? Reminds me of "The earth is flat".
While the chance in fact may be the same as always, and the server may NOT be broken in this regard, and I may just have had terrible luck - you have no way of telling. So if you cannot add anything useful to a thread, how about just adding nothing.
I haven't noticed a change, to be honest. But it wouldn't surprise me if there was some newly introduced issue, even with just a single grade (much like how most of the enchant stones were borked for a while).
Since GoD, I took a D-grade shirt to +10, an A weapon to +12 with regular scrolls and then up to +16 with Destruction (except for the last one), and brought a C-grade weapon from +14 to +16 (blew it up going to +17).
Contrary to my own experiments with enchanting weapons, some days ago I made 3 Atuba Maces +8 with only 12 BEWD. Broke 2 of them trying +8-> +9 and kept the remaining one at +8.
It seemed to me much easier than before. That limited amount of weapons / scrolls is not offered for any conclusions though.
Previous tests have shown a rate of about 40% success for mage weapons and 70% for fighter ones (hundreds of tries)
I am not aware of any new noteworthy (at least 200-300 attempts) experiment to prove otherwise
