I decided to test my luck and opened 1025 treasure chest, and I got nothing, this is not a complaint just curious of luck. Please leave how many chest in total or that particular day you got your hat with the cool bonus, thanks :D

Reason I ask is because I've heard someone mention something about a guy scamming with hat chests in giran/aden/etc. Did you buy chests from a scammer that told you that you would get hats with bonuses?

There are some private stores in Giran that have for sale "75% ABILITY HAT CHANCE" as their shop sale sign, when all they are selling is a normal Treasure Chest that comes from the Aden Reconstruction Manager.. Which is nowhere even CLOSE to 75% chance.
It gives you random items every time you open the chest. Elixers of CP, HP, Mana of random grades.. Sometimes scrolls.. For someone with REALLY great Korean Random luck can possibly get a +DEX/+STR etc, ability hat.

Actually they have Accessory chests in their store. Opening them will only give you hats. You need the pendant chests that come out of the treasure chest to get the pendants to put the ability on the hat.
I was about to post the same. There is NO chance to get an "ability hat" out of a treasure box at all. You can get a hair accessory chest that you can open for a random hat/accessory, and you can get a pendant chest which holds the item that you need to add an ability to a hat/hair accessory.
The chance to get a pendant chest is extremely low, and if you got one you will still need the appropriate hat/hair accessory to add the pendant to. For example a +10% MATK pendant can ONLY be added to a demon circlet (Edit: and apparently to the recently added refined devil horns, didn't know about those yet ^^).

Look closely. Some of then are legit as you say. Some are just the normal chests that don't give you a hat, they give the chance of everything.
There is not really even the need to look closely.
Whoever claims in their store to be selling an item with an xx% chance to get an ability hat is scamming and should be ignored to begin with. The only box holding the RARE item that is needed to give a hat an ability is named PENDANT BOX, and it has a 100% chance to have a pendant inside.
