Feoh Wizard - Boss Jewels

Hello all
My quest is:
Do worth using Zaken, Freya, Baium, Frintezza, consideing its low Mdef?

Or should i make macro to equip normal jewels when facing another feoh?

+3 INT or +10% Matk hair accessory?
Does +3INT increase near 10% matk?

In my opinion, the bonuses from boss jewelry are worth losing a few hundred m.def. The loss can be mitigated some through enchanting and augmenting.

Also, I think +3 INT is better than 10% m.atk because INT affects other things (e.g. instant skill reuse). On my DE Feoh +3 INT gave me about 5% more m.atk.

That said, I also think the above is dependent on the race and other decisions made in the development of a character.

Just my opinions...

The old BJ are only worth vs. melee. Freya/Tezza is the only Jewel i would keep always cos of skill reuse.
Even if you OE them to +6 you will loose a lot mdef compared to +4 TW jewels.

About the +3 Int/+10% Matk, dunno. But i see most ppl that can pay it use the +10% Matk one.

For wizard you should have valakas,not tezza or freya.Untill you get val,use freya.

Antharas is also a must.These 2 epics can become blessed with items we will get through raids which will add them more stronger stats.


Baium is still the only epic that gives c.speed,i love c.speed,its up to you to decide keep it or not,depends from your dyes and race too.


Rest of epics are needed to some melees,or inside oly.For nukers add istina's earring too.


10% matack,is double dmg than +3int hat.How much int your toon totally has (and m.attack),depends from all your package.

Atarth i know ur right, but i don't think that the normal player base will get Valakas these days.

Valakas is now lv99 and you still need a hundred ppl to kill it. It does not even exist in bartz server. Same for Antharas.

I'm using Zaken and Freya +5, but still zaken has as s*** Mdef compared to a TW.
But its ok for now, I think the bonus cover the Mdef loss.

Since I stoped playing on hellbound and just came back, I didnt know about Istina, and i think it can be the solution .

TBH, Baium was a great jewel but the Casting Speed it gives is barely a factor anymore. It was great back when you were a Vortex/Buster/Spam F1 machine. How the class is played has changed. It's just not as good as it used to be. Not sure if it's really worth the M.Def loss but I guess they're cute for linkspam...

I'd wear a Freya over a Frint.

Valakas and Antharas are still good, if you have access to them.

Some melee jewels are still good for those classes, but a lot of the DDs I know switch jewels out depending on the situation (which really anyone should be doing, TBH).

Mages sort of benefit from the fact that most of the old Epics were melee-biased, so you can upgrade to normal jewels with higher M.Def without nearly as much of a loss as a melee class.

If you don't think you'll be taking a lot of M.Dmg, then wear them. If you think you'll be taking a lot of that, then perhaps you should put on jewels with better M.Def. It's pretty simple.

Boss jewels aren't what they used to be, at least the old ones. It's debatable how much they actually affect awakened skills, and the loss of mdef is huge. Most people I know do not fight any mage or healer with all their epics on, nor do mass pvp with all of them. My recommendation is to get 2 earrings and 2 rings, but have a Freya always. Obviously, one you get Istina/Octavis jewels then none of this will be an issue.
