Purchasing Ncoin

General Discussion Started Last reply 9 posts
I do not have a credit card, nor will I ever have one, since I prefer cash and carry exlusively over a monthly bill at the end of purchasng something. That being said, I am interested in buying some Ncoin from time to time.

Two questions I have are, will a prepaid creditcard Visa/Mastercard work?

Anyone from Canada can confirm if this does indeed work or not? Last thing I want to do is spend a little money on a prepaid creditcard and BAM...Access Denied.

....and, will NCsoft consider making a Prepaid Ncoin Card?

For me, security is everything, and I have found the most painless method to purchase MMO shop points, is with a prepaid gamecard. Are the NCsoft dev's going to consider this? I am positive it would open up a new revenue stream, and bring this great game up to date for ease of purchasing in-game shop points!

Thanks!
Time cards work. I would bet that prepaid visa/mastercards would work as well.
Thats the problem my friend. I do not wish to bet $50.00 on a prepaid creditcard only to discover it does not work. Is why I need actionable information before I do anything with my monies.

Thanks for your response though.

EDIT: You mentioned time cards. Is this legacy from the old Pay2Play system? Are they still available to be purchased? If so, which stores have them? I did see them mentioned in the official FAQ, but as you know, there is no official mention regarding prepaid creditcards.
Prepaid Visa/MC work. So do debit cards with MC or Visa logo on them.
visa and creditcard is not the same
just cause it has visa dosent mean you can spend more money that you have on ur bank account

Regardless, prepaid Visa/MC cards work for NC Coin purchases, as well as Debit cards with the Visa/MC logo on them. I've used both successfully.

You can usually also find Lineage II (or Play NC) time cards on Amazon.com

Yes the game cards are from the old days of $14.99 a month, I've seen them at Gamestop and a couple of Wal-marts for sale.

It's called "NCsoft 30-Day Game Time Card" (Walmart also had 60-Day)
(heartfelt thanks)

I appreciate the amazing responses!

I will be purchasing a small denomination prepaid creditcard in about a week or so. I shall update everyone on what happens afterwards.

Thanks again!
