As of May 23, the Stone of Destiny item returns to Lineage II. It was first seen at the launch of Goddess of Destruction in 2011. The item allows un-Awakened characters (or an un-Awakened Dual Class) to Awaken as any one of the eight Awakening classes, instead of the one class they would be destined for.
This item will be available in the L2 Store and L2 Galleria for two weeks only, from May 23 to June 6, 2012. You do not need to use it within that time frame however-- if you plan to use it down the road, you can purchase it now and use it later; the Stone of Destiny will not be removed from the game when the store special ends. :)
Hi, I have a question:
If a char is wizard and then decide to be tyrr warrior, as its been said that those changes will take human skill to be trade for new skills, so what skills will take to be trade; the Gladiator skill or the Dreathnought skills? thanks
I ask this because sometimes we want o keep some skills from some classes, ie. darkelfs stormscreamer

You will not be able to keep any of the Dark Elf Stormscreamer skills. The Human Third Class skills you get if you're becoming a Tyrr Warrior are a merge of both Gladiator and Dreadnought-- there is no skill that is unique to either. For example, if becoming a Sigel Knight, you get a merge of Phoenix and Hell Knight skills, but not class-specific cubics or summons.
As far as I understand it, the Stone of Destiny is saw as a quest item. Therefore it's not tradeable at all between characters of the same account. Am I right ?
If I am right, do you plan to change that in the future so the stone become tradeable between characters of the same accounts, or since it's a quest item it would need to much development and you don't have plans for doing it this way ?
Last question, if I buy it from the L2 Galleria, I choose to apply it to the account I want. Then I will get it back from the Dimensional Merchant, with whatever character like the Mentee Certificate those days ?

Correct.

Quest items are not tradable and there are no plans to change that. For the Stone of Destiny to become tradable or sharable via Dimensional merchant, it would have to stop being a quest item, and the tradable item would be a new item entirely-- previously obtained quest-item-Stones of Destiny would remain as a separate and untradable item.

When you buy from the L2 Galleria you are already on the game account that will get it, but you can choose what server and character to give it to. Indeed, when it is on the Dimensional Merchant for the server you choose, you can collect it on any of the characters on that same account and same server. It's a bit redundant, though, as you must choose a character at the point of purchase in L2 Galleria.

GOOD ONE but when you awaken from class like bd into sigel knight you are awakened from ... Pheonix knight !

Hmm. I believe our testing examples shows knight skills but nothing specific to either Human knight class-- there were definitely no cubic skills to be found. Perhaps I am wrong; if so, the Human Third Class whose skills you get would be the first in the order of class IDs, meaning Phoenix Knight, Archmage, and Duelist, as opposed to their counterparts. Either way, the skills are relatively equality regardless of the class within that type, and you need to trade them in to get the skills for your Awakening class.
Hi Sace,
I have a question about the stone of destiny.
My situation is as follow:
Main: Othel Rogue
Dual Class: Spectral Dancer
2nd Sub: Shilien Saint
3rd Sub: Hawk Eye
I would like to use the Stone of Destiny to allow my dual class (Spectral Dancer) to awaken as a Yul Archer.
Is it possible? My question arises since I already have a sub that is an archer (3rd sub) and as far as I remember it was not possible to use the SubClass Change Certificate to change the Spectral Dancer into any class already used as another subclass of mine.

Silent.
The Stone of Destiny can be used on an Awakened class or a Dual Class, but in your case you cannot Awaken your Dual Class as a Yul Archer because you already have an archer-type class associated with your character.
anyone can tell me about the stats?
example : if i have orc magic as my character, and i want to awaken as tyrr warrior using this SOD, what race stats i will get? still orc magic stats like the website said, or it will replace with orc fighter stats, or i will get human fighter stats?
"Upon Awakening, all previous third class skills are replaced with the skills of a Human class that would have naturally evolved into the characters chosen Awakening class. For example, if an Elven Elemental Master uses a Stone of Destiny to Awaken as an Elven Tyrr Warrior, the Elemental Master skills are replaced with Duelist skills. The Duelist skills are then traded in for the Tyrr Warrior skills. The characters race status and race skills will remain intact."
This is the discription of what happens when you use the stone. Unfortunatly it dosn't provide an example of what happens if you stay on your own natural path, such as orc warrior - > tyrr.
Greymalkin should get duelist skill set and orc racials and orc stats.
It doesnt matter if the race has a tyrr class or not, he is not awakening to his standard class, since he clearly said he is an orc mage. This is why he gets the duelist skill set instead of titan or grand khavatari.
How does the current stone work with the old one? I mean, this is said to go to the quest inventory, the old one is sitting in my warehouse - can I have 2 on the same character at a given time? Thing is that I'm planning to choose a new 4th class on my main, that doesn't follow my current path, therefore using the stone I already have. But if I wanted to change the route on my soon-to-be dual class as well and buy the stone and keep it for the future use - can I do that? Or for that matter, can a character have more than one in the quest inventory? Or can I buy and not send it to my account, only doing it after I have used up the first stone? I didn't find any info about if that type of items have a due date or can it stay "waiting" on my master account indefinitely? Or can I send it and keep it sitting on the dimensional NPC? It will go to the quest inventory of the toon that actually claims it from the NPC, not the one I send it to, right?
Yes I guess I'm trying to get the best out of both deals but unfortunately with the classes being cut down to 8 only, I'm a bit stuck with too many overlapping ones and since splitting the subclass wasn't added to account services I have to find other ways to still play what I like.

The Stone of Destiny that you received in your warehouse will be moved to your quest inventory when you try to retrieve it, but ALL stones in the quest inventory will be removed upon Awakening. If you get the Stone of Destiny from the L2 Galleria (not L2 Store), you will receive it through the Dimensional Merchant NPC. Any character can claim it as long as they are on the same account. So yes you can keep it on the Dimensional Merchant NPC, but once the item has been retrieved you cannot remove it from the quest inventory.

Woah, hold up. Are you implying that it's possible to have more than one Stone of Destiny on the same character?

I heard otherwise.
Yes, you can have more than one. Although, you can only use it for your main class and dual class, but it's not recommended to have more than one since ALL stones in your quest inventory will be consumed upon Awakening. If you do purchase a second one, you can still leave it on the dimensional merchant NPC when you are ready to use it on your dual class.
"If you do purchase a second one, you can still leave it on the dimensional merchant NPC when you are ready to use it on your dual class."
Providing you purchase it through the online galleria and not the in game l2 store. Correct?
Correct. If you purchase an item from the L2 Store (in-game) it goes straight to your inventory. If you purchase an item from the L2 Galleria (website) it is sent to the Dimensional Merchant on the server you choose, and you can leave it on the Dimensional Merchant until you are ready to collect it.
Update: the Stone of Destiny availability in the L2 Store and L2 Galleria has been extended by one week. The new end-date of this special item sales is June 13, 2012.
