After looking at the sticky I realized that it needs to be refreshed. I can see why its not cleaned out by forums mods. Just to much trash and not to the point.
In game petition system doesnt work as we all know, giving those whom use 3rd party programs free run of Lineage 2 for quite some time. My only fear is that programs are so part of the game that people whom still play take a blind eye to it.
Sace before you give me an infraction, I know of over 300 chars whom are bots. NCSoft has done nothing about it. After seeing the masses leaving servers due to many reason, I came to the conclusion that this is truely my last attempt before I leave. Since we all know nothing gets done by In Game management.
Please post : Name of those known botting and the server its on with the time.
Make a list of the bots you know. Add details like when you spotted them botting or where.
If you are just "pretty sure" and not "really sure" leave the name out. Link that list from your signature instead of posting it here. You are not allowed to accuse anyone here, but it is ok to link to an external own website like I do with my youtube channel.
In my opinion high quality info is better than high quantity info. I know WAY more bots than I have currently online at my channel, but people are not likely to go through a textlist of 300 bots. They are much more likely to watch a few videos of some. So I add a video of one of the more interesting bots to my channel every few days or so.
Used the report button on on an iss bot and tank probably for week, finally got sick of it reported on the actual website, saw them both there today. I guess NC can't figure out who is a bot, but here is a hint, if the bot gets it's life drained by a summoner, and still attacks mob when it's down to 0 hp it's a bot.
This is on chrono's server near the shillen garden of dark elf village, where there is water...
If I see you're character botting I am just going to drain it to no hp and let mobs kill it at least they won't be making money for a few hours! This bot situation is the worst I've seen in years!

Btw, even though I hate to say it because money can be made for legit players, the quest at cod needs to be taking out of the game, the bots at Crypts of Despair are making tons of adena with botting doing this quest!

Yeah and that's just one of many places most people can't play thanks to the bots. You either pk them or play someplace else.

Ignoring them just makes the issue wrose. Thats why the game has been fail for so long now. Its just lazyness by the part of NCSoft.

It was a move to placate the crowd. I doubt anyone from NCSoft even looks at that thread, except to give people infractions on the forums.

You know this is against the rules, like botting.
Why dont sace or someone post something about the botsituation ?
Because they are not allowed to, plus they actualy can't do anything about the bot problem. They can mass ban some bots, but they just make new accounts and in a few days are back to where they left off. It's an endless cycle where the bots will always win unless they use some form an antibot software, which in the 8 years the game has been online has never been done.
A new bot thread will not be made and the forums are not the place to report suspicious players or cheaters. For this reason and others it is not permitted to publicly accuse another player of cheating on the forums, and this will not change. The existing bot thread is for abstract or general discussion only.
The only ways to report a suspicious player are the following:
Use the in-game Report Bot button when targeting the suspicious player.
When the in-game petition client is open, use it and send a ticket with the name(s) of the suspicious character(s).
The best way is to take a minute to fill out a website support form ticket, where you can include more information. Here, include the player name(s), server name, and roughly when and where the suspicious player(s) were playing.
I understand the frustration some players may feel with reporting and seeing or not seeing the results they want. Although we cannot reveal all of the investigation methods for security reasons, we can assure you that all reports are collected and investigated, and cheaters are caught and banned on a regular basis, but a report does not guarantee a ban. Please continue to report suspicious players while we strive to improve our efforts and we hope you will soon see results you personally find satisfactory.
