This is a shout out to all the players who used to love Lineage 2. Who became immersed in it's world and it's music. Who played from CB, or OB or C1 or C2 or C3 and who saw it was a great game until NCSoft decided to tear it down, bring it to this mainstream bull-crap and remove the diverse and complex system that was Lineage 2.
The people who used to log in and see a hundred players on talking island just killing golems to level up, and the players who saw gludin for the first time when you departed off the ferry. The players who knew what it was like to step into Giran with your graphics turned up and would have to stare at the ground to walk through.
Before all this botting and third party nonsense. Before greed drove the developer of our cherished game to drive it down into this filth.
I just want to say I understand. I used to love this game so much. It was such a great part of my youth, and I can never forget the moments I had with friends and clanmates, leveling in the Ruins of Despair and reaching 40 for the first time. Getting my Full-Plate Armor and finally becoming a Paladin, which i named this forum account after.
This game was amazing. And maybe there's still some hope for it.
I encourage anyone who is interested to email me, and get in touch. We can all talk together and brainstorm. Come up with ideas and work together to bring new life to this game, one way or another.

You absolutely missed the point of this post. And the botting wasn't a big deal until it started effecting the economy of the game and was used in exploits. Most major botters do so to make/sell money in the game, which NCSoft has covered now; to farm materials for crafting (which honestly it takes forever so i don't blame them there); and last and least for players to level up. But you'll see that it's been a major factor in the decline of GoD.

Out of the entire post you only point out that? Of course there has been bots in L2 for as long as ANYONE can remember. But that was not the point of this post. I'll certainly say that Lineage 2 has fallen (especially with combining all classes ultimately.) And before anyone decides to defend the race/class differences. Give up, very little differences between the classes now aside from racial skills/attributes. The game has gone to hell, but hey its been like that for awhile now.
I'm curious, what is the brainstorming for? Not that Korean devs would care about your ideas, see what is the Suggestion section for... Just for people to vent out what they don't like about the game.
If you had the "power" to gather all players on all servers to NOT login/buy crap from store for a whole month just to prove a point, then you might just get the attention of korea.(Zero income for a whole month would make them react over there)

EXACTLY! See ideas like that. Obviously there are other solutions, but the reason I created the email was basically to avoid the ******s and trolls who'd do nothing but bash them. The players could go on a strike, and you could also send a petition to NCSoft.
Korea doesn't care about the NCWest L2 Servers anymore. They're not running it the same was as their own servers, and they're just using it like a cash crop. People still buy into it and since they do all the work on their servers they just toss ****** update after ****** update to NCWest, and the game holds no value. Its just gonna get worse and worse and look more sparkly and shiny on the outside and hold no material on the inside so eventually, when the game does die, they'll have milked as much money out of the community as possible.
Did they ever care? Yidao's posts about how Koreans see us Westernes are pretty enlightening.
Honestly I can't say that I know that. However there was a time when people flocked to the game. And the old players just can't stop talking about how great the game was. So there must have been something they did right for us, you know?

Honestly i'm just not interested in L2 retail anymore. I played when GoD came out. Played a lot, made a clan and had friends, got incredibly bored, and decided it's not really worth my time.
My goal is to do something about it. You'll see that i'm awfully persistent too. But i can't get very far without the backing of other players

And btw, it's not our cherished game. It's theirs. And they can do whatever the hell they want with it and you can only choose if continue playing it or go away and find something else. They're not actually forcing you to play L2, so :confused:

I stopped playing all together. What is the whole point of the game anyways. You zip through the levels to 85. You grind through the rest in a enviroment filled with exploits and boring toon classes, to compete with people with big resources (in game and out), to do what? PvP in a war/siege/olympiad system that could or could not be riddled with people using hacks, cheats, over powered gear. Same boring heroes, same boring top clans, same annoying trash talk amongst the same boring clans. Sure, I can do without all that because I am a carebear but seriously, I grind (and yes, I don't mind the grind. I've been playing for years.) at the same boring spots with gear that is given to me, for free. where is the satisfaction of earning and fighting for your gear? bleh. Now the only satisfaction I get is trolling the forums and laughing at the lemmings going about filling the coffers of NCSoft. I guess after 8 years, I am really bored at this game.
We all like to vent it out about l2 and company,but you really aren't going to gain anything from this. No one is going to "rise up" against it. They'd simply close the servers down or possibly down to one server and still do the same thing.

Before this game was free-to-play it was pay to play and before that it was being developed, and in every stage of that process, minus early production, they used players and gamers and beta testers to give feedback. You dont build a game to appeal to yourself. You make it to appeal to the players who play it. The people who make the community and pay for accounts and give them money. Without the players there would be no game, there wouldnt even be the idea of a game.

Because things like this get posted a million times and what ends up happening is that people get tired of seeing the same threads about already talked about topics. Some of the veteran's here get tired of explaining the same things over and over so that's why people end up getting flamed or told out right.
I can tell you're new to these forums, maybe lurk more or just participate in discussions and get a feel for the forum. I can't tell you what to do, it's just a suggestion. When you roll up in here creating threads about white knighting against NC it's just laughable. Nothing will come of it...ever. I totally understand the frustration I do,but it's NC as we say so what did you expect? You either roll with it or quit the game.

Unless you're an indie developer.
And even in that case, they put a small fee to download their games.
So back to the main question, does the playerbase have the right to complain if something isn't right? Yes; but does the Western playerbase have the right to complain to devs? Koreans don't believe so, nor they care.

Because its like beating a dead horse that's why. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. At some point you have to ask yourself if its really worth your time.
