Attributes changes on Tauti

General Discussion Started Last reply 14 posts
Hello everyone. I read the preliminary patch notes of Tauti update, and something make me doubt:

Received damage when the defense attribute value is higher than the attack attribute value has been decreased. Defense attribute value can be raised to decrease received damage. Damage that raises attack attribute value can be increased.

If I understand well, with this new sistem, the higger the attribute defense value the less the damage that we recieve, acording to the attack attribute value of our target.

But, what happend if the player who attack us, dont have attack atribute value?... We will recieve less damage as well, or the attributes dont enter in the "damage formula".

MIE:

I have 350 dark resist
The player who attack me have 150 dark attack
(350 - 150 = 200 of element resist)
I will reciebe 1000 dmg

I have 250 dark resist on my armor.
The player who attack me have 150 dark on his weapon.
(250 - 150 = 100 of element resist)
I will reciebe 1500 dmg

I have 120 of all element resist on my armor
The player who attack me didnt have element on his weapon.
(120*6 - 0 = 120*6 = 960 of element resist)
I will reciebe < 1000 of dmg?

Hope that you cant understand what I say. XD

PD: sry for my bad english.
Players with 0 on their elemental offensive atribute, dont deal any bonus but dont suffer penalty either.

Also theres a point where dmg bonus doesnt go any higher and that is 220.

AHA! so... based on that, in some situation its better to DONT have element on the weapon, but 120*3 on the armor.

At least with that, you make shure that, you will do more dmg if the player have element on his armor...

220 why? based on statistics?

idd but most of the race's have a passive attribute attack so ... idk how this works xD.
for pvp i always think no att is better but need for pve at the of the day get one
Elements are important whether is PvE or PvP. Attacks from other players may have elemental damage on them. Like my dagger has fire on his.

People don't seem to understand that the more element you have the less damage you take.
There's a max dmg to be done, im not sure i think it's around 25% boost from elements, which stops at 220, even if you have beyond you won't get any boost if your target has 0 element defense.

There's an article about it..i will look for it later.

Dont matter if you dont have element on weapon.
Orcs always have a 20 fire.
Elves 20 water.
Dark elvers 20 wind.
Dwarves 20 earth.
Kamaels 20 dark.

So, actually, it is better to have element than to have your 20 element passive.
so, even with tauti, the element sistem are like:

More you have, better (even attack or defense).

Like allways was XD.

Im iss too, and my 6 damage skills have elemet enchant route too.

And, I forgot that, all awake have a minimal of element (maybe ncsoft put that racial skills for this problem?)

Humans dont have innate element...
*hides*
I was dualist before i awakened into a feoh with the stone of destiny. when i remove my weapon my attack attribute reads zero. Shouldnt my base element be fire ?
Since you're a Human character, your base element doesn't exist. Human race is the only one without one. See Pocket Medic's post.
