Regarding TAUTI - rogue

and this statement:

For Othell Rogues and Yul Archers, on their "Grand Light Armor Mastery" skill, an effect that increases speed and physical skill critical rate according to the character's DEX value has been added. When Othell Rogues and Yul Archers equip light armor, speed and physical skill critical rate may increase or decrease according to the character's DEX value.

What does that exactly means for Dwarf othell rogues? that our phisical skill critical rate and speed will go down compared to the other races? because we have the lowest DEX from all of them
It just means that your critical rate may increase or decrease regarding your DEX.

Thank you Captain Troll... you are awesome

My pleasure :)

More seriously, what do you want people to tell more ? If it will increase or decrease, kinda like the old systems ? Who knows, may be the dwarf DEX is the lowest but is high enough to net get penalty. May be not. I found nothing about it on GoHa and on the powerbook
Thank you Captain Troll... you are awesome

Da hell? You either can't read english or you're doing worse than Laby is. (im not even spelling the darn word coz i know you're getting an infraction)

Gotta love these players who keep complainign when people are actually giving the most acurate info we have. Learn to apreciate or shut it if you can't apreciate help.

Ok, i think that it is you who can't read english. What's the accurate info? That he wrote exactly what i did above?

What my concern is, if are we going to receive a penalty comparing it to our local situation
i hope you will
I suppose this will be a trolling post too. There's a set multiplier based on what your dex is relative to a certain value. If for example the multiplier is 1.00 at 50 dex, you'd see something like:

60 1.20
59 1.18
58 1.16
57 1.14
56 1.12
55 1.10
54 1.08
53 1.06
52 1.04
51 1.02
50 1.00
49 0.98
48 0.96
47 0.94
46 0.93
45 0.90

Dwarves do not have the Lowest DEX. You can add what, 21 dex to stats? 8 behind elf and within 5 of the rest. What seems to be your problem? In theory you'll have a few less skill crits.

Sadly you don't get any credibility by throwing random numbers like that
Sadly I don't care you're too dense to understand the words 'for example'.
Well, the OP asked details, not general examples about the system itself. People reading this thread will just focus on numbers and will not read the rest
A general example sufficiently illustrates what was asked about how dex will affect dagger/archer skill crits. I'm not responsible for the lack of reading comprehension possessed by the majority of the forum community.
A general example sufficiently illustrates what was asked about how dex will affect dagger/archer skill crits.

Not really if you take some time to read the first posts on this thread. The OP asked HOW it will impact them, if it will increase or decrease Dwarf stats. For that we would need to know the "cap" DEX, which obvisouly we didn't know.

Tell me how good your example is good for the thread so, beside explaining a concept already understood and throwing numbers which can lead to misinformation ?
If you're incapable of making a basic connection between a question and an example in an answer, you should probably shouldn't be arguing with someone who at least provided an answer rather than regurgitated the question as you did. If I have to spell it out for you, no race is going to be penalized on skill crit rate based on dex but obviously higher dex races will have an advantage much like higher str race have an advantage now. I apologize for using such advanced vocabulary like 'example' and confusing you into thinking I stated anything as factual values. Other threads may need your posts that lack any substance; spend your time wisely.

And this information comes from where ?
And this information comes from where ?

From common sense and extrapolation. There is always a base line to go off of for everything. There's a median that you can go above or below. Positive and negative. Do we know the exact number. No. Spend lots of money and countless hours going from 50 dex base (orc)-84ish dex(elf) thats +15 tats, armor, aug, wards etc.
Just like with element you will find that there are break points in which it will either make a huge difference, or an unoticable %.
Dwarves are not being penalized.
Dex is not the win all factor into the equation.

Yes, that OP's point

. Do we know the exact number. No.

My point.

The OP is specifically asking if the break point is higher or lower than the base DEX for Dwarfs, to know if they will be penalized (being under this breakpoint) or not (being upper this break point).

So I don't see the utility of previous posts since obviously nobody got the exact number. You are just here trying to explain to the OP and myself a system we both know, and adding nothing to the answer of the question given by the OP
A little place called common sense that you should visit. If you already understood this concept you would know that the lowest applicable base stat of any race is assigned a modifier of 1.04 to the respective combat stat it modifies, taking into account whether it is a fighter or a mystic stat. FOR EXAMPLE elf fighter sets str, elf mystic sets int, orc fighter sets dex, dwarf mystic sets wit, and so on. That said, no race is penalized provided they do not drop BELOW the base value on any of their stats. If you need that spoon-fed to you any more than that, Google is your friend before you embarrass yourself.
you would know that the lowest applicable base stat of any race is assigned a modifier of 1.04 to the respective combat stat it modifies

Obviously you have some knowledge I don't, can you please enlight me and tell me where this information come from?

I personnaly take mine from this link : http://gametsg.techbang.com/lineage2/index.php?view=article&articleid=334184 It's a test made by ChildofHeaven, Head of the QA department in Lineage 2 Taiwan Department on the GoD PTS.

Nice to know that with this 'wealth' of information, you've done nothing with it.
None of your posts have been relevant in any way to this thread.
You can clearly see the scaling in that info.
No class starts under the break point.

Again, refer to my earlier post. Go and find the break points yourself if that pleases you.

I think you didn't get the message I wanted to say. This link is about GoD update, not Tauti update. Therefore it says nothing about the upcoming DEX changes. I would not take such information in consideration so.

I was just pointing out that the "1.04" upgrade mentionned by Shunsui seemed a little old, and I gave the source of this observation.

So you are just gonna use your "common sense" to "pronostic" that, based on Goddess of Destruction tests, that Dwarf will not be nerfed ? There are many shortcuts taken here. My original point were (and stays) that as long as we don't have tests done in Tauti, we can't check that for sure. If you are really concerned, you could try to ask Juji for some test : The stats from a dwarf on the current server and on the current QA server.
Hahahahahah lol =))
That means the BIG, FAT, and SLOW dorf were born to be a warrior, not an assassin. In fact, that's what supposed to be. :))
Haven't seen in any story that dorf plays as an assassin :))
Dorfs cried a lot over the years to the fact they were a bad class at PvP. NCsoft kept telling them that dwarfs are not suposed to be PvP chars but they insisted. So NCwest gave them some skills, making them LOOK like daggers so dorfs would shut up, but in fact they were never meant to be true DD's, as you can see now in Tauti with the DEX thing.

Anyways, dorf daggers are cute :p.
@ Laby
Just stop to care about such ppl. Not worth the time

@ the other posters
Source? Proof?
Nothing? Then stop talking.
just to fuel this fun topic:
let's see how the patt will matter for physical skill damage increase as per Tauti change factors into this as well.. ;)

Considering OP thought that Dwarves had the lowest DEX...
Source is current game play, the stat change isn't anything drastic like it was with the GoD change. No ones complaining about the current STR/INT spreads even though they are just as big.
But for the sake of laughing, the average dex is 55, seeing as how Dwarf is below that. You better reroll.
lol awhh dwarfs getting nerfed.. oh well.

@Chemosh : from the link u have posted :/

Athrogate is a dwarven warrior of some reputation in the Bloodstone Lands.
Home Damara
Gender Male
Race Dwarf
Rules Information
Class Warrior

So what's the point here? :/
Then you think guys that if i have othell rogue lvl90 awaken from dwarf then i can stop thinking about pvp and stop playing that thing :D??
I would say concentrate on str being dorf, as you can not match dex of rest, but it different play styles, find one suitable for yourself, try some cheap dyes to test out (dont do silly tests as 10 hits and ok, that will do, lets change it. do something like a week with each set up) and pick the one witch suits you best. pve and instances does not need high dex anyway as you can achieve 1500 500 w/o dyes. Maybe a bit harder with 1500, but wont be too far out. Problem is, that there is no exact answer on how every passive skill works and how much % is increased to have crit skill for every +1 dex. You will also be loosing on con unless invest some serious adena. So get out there, test and dont think you got bad char or else, just find yours way of playing
Thank`s for your advice and im looking for more advices how to play now dwarf othell rogue :)
As far as I'm concerned DEX is still an irrelevant stat. STR = higher P.Atk, higher skill damage, higher critical damage, and more frequent skill mastery.
midgets can't **** more now? who cares, oh i'll get an infraction for saying that, so sad.
