SoD has nothing to do with race change. Its change class upon awakening. So if he is human, he will have human stats and race skills forever(till NC say otherwi$$$e).

You don't see the point. Changing race, shouldn't happen over night. That's why stone of destiny doesn't really do that. In order to change race and a class like I did, kamael wynn summoner you need to make a new char.
Changing existing chars to another race should never happen. That's the difference. I had to reroll to make my kamael.
And yes SoD is the only way to change race for the moment, I hope they never change this system.
There are no plans for a race change service at this time. Maybe in the future.

When you chose your race it was with the goal of attaining a certain skillset. You want to be a healer with a high rez -> one race is the best.
An archer? You balanced hawkeye vs elves skills and you knew which race to pick.
Now with the stone of destiny and the subclass system you can have ISS dwarves or Dark elves who are Eva's Saints.
It'd be an opportunity for you to sell more NC coins and for us to play a toon we like, not only a toon with the skills we like.
I wanted a recharger with critical increase buffs. I then chose an SE. But I prefer light elves. Now my SE is an ISS. I'd definitely use the service to switch if I could.
