A GOOD french speaking clan/alliance to join endgame would be nice. Otherwise any english speaking community would do. English is just as fine.
I'd like a fresh start as much as possible.
Possibly a server with a good economy, that isn't totally one sided too.
Apparently Chronos/Naia are made of the former/original servers, so not great for a fresh start, but its not all about the fresh start if they're the best servers for many reasons. Bartz seems to be new but -5GMT which is meh. Magmeld and Shilen? thoughts?

Just pick one that is closest to your time-zone. There have been so many server merges and transfers that it doesn't matter. Bartz is considered the "new" server since it only has people that made accounts AFTER free to play but. People on bartz are about as far ahead as the ones on Chronos now... Won't make much difference later, just pick one that is best timezone for you imo.

I am enjoying chronos quite well in fact. There is more than 3 top clans competing all against each other at the moment, the economy is basically non-relevant as there are so many ways of getting gear and adena. Seems like the server has a decent population and I find parties pretty quick with party matching as well. The only economic difference is between high levels and low levels. and all that takes is time xp and levels.

Just create a toon in each server, you can immediately check the Auction House to see the prices then.
I am in Shilen at the moment, can't say anything about the political situation because I am just a carebear 89, but the population seems good, I mostly waited for the tanks for the parties, and sometimes healers (not much though), so far.
Shilen it is, I have a friend that used to play there, that quit the game and can give me a BD83. If i can take it to 85, turn it into an ISS and use it as buffpet + mentor it'll help my progression greatly!
Speaking of which, some particular tips on how to lvl a BD from 83 to awakening asap? ^^
