How do you map YOUR keys?

I just started lineage 2 today and am honestly hating the keybind system. Very poor design, but I can get passed it. The main issue is you can't bind modifier keys (shift/alt/ctrl). Yes, I have enter chat on.

So how do you bind all your abilities if you can't even use modifiers? Or do you only use like 5-8 abilities in endgame?

(I'm looking for examples of how people have their bars set up right now)


bonus question: How do you unbind a key?

Deppending on your class you use up to 30+ abilities in endgame.
CTRL is force attack, when you use it you can attack players anywhere outside of town, you flag, you can die.
SHIFT is to hold position, since the game is click to move, its pretty crucial in some situations.
ALT + Fkey is swaping your hotbars.

You are supposed to use F1 - F12 for first bar, and numeric line for 12 more skills, + bind few on your mouse and under numeric line.
Still not enough?

Since I'm used to WASD in other games, but Lineage II doesn't really make use of it, I bind all of my abilities to the surrounding keys like I would in a modern game. For me, that means about 10 hotkeys, which are mostly the abilities that I use all the time. Any abilities I don't use frequently, like buffs, I just click.

wanna remove it completely bind another key on that action.

I play with force macros, always have from other characters and so on. Run into some1 OOP helping me pvp and i want to heal them, dont have to hold control and so fourth, just easier for me. I play from the Middle so its easier to reach all my main bar skills (F1-F12) so i rest my keyboard hand on F4-F8, reach to the others. Second bar is basically the skill above my macro so i can see the reuse.

3rd bar has toggles and my attack skills (Changed for oly and CoC) and 4th bar is buffs and PR.

To the pic in the post i quoted, how do you have air rider as an aeore? Or is that a race skill that looks exactly the same >.>

Its a simple /target %self macro. You can now use several icons for macro's :cool:

i got F3 (attack) F4 (pickup) F5 (next target)

dont really need anymore with cougars

with reapers i push G1 (macro) and go afk
