I have been wondering about a few crafting materials I have found and have ended up keeping just out of curiosity. Do the following items have a chance to drop, or are they available only through crafting? If they are available through crafting only, how am I able to find the associated recipes for them? Here is a small list of items that I am intersted in learning a little more about, and if you have made them and can perhaps provide a screenie showing me their stats and lvl requirements that would be extremely appreciated. I attempted to find the info myself on Google and all the wiki pages I visited, well, they did not have any info on the following items at all, so I turn to the community for some assistance. :)
- Ring of Ages
- Necklace of Mermaid
- Adamantite Necklace and Ring (is there an Earring to this set as well?)
- Blue Diamond Necklace
Those are old materials, which people don't turn to, the crafting is now a method used at 85+ mostly and so only drops from 85 places matter as the current lowbies zones are somewhat broken regarding key mats since the revamp of lowbie areas.
You can buy better items than these at the jewerly shop or luxury shop without much trouble.
Ring of Ages, Necklace of Mermaid and Blue Diamond Necklace* are low C-grade jewels, while Adamantite Necklace, Ring and Earring (yes, it exists) are low B-grade jewels.
As said by Yunalesca, you can buy top grade items both in the Jewelry shop in Giran, and in the Luxury shop (for the B and superior grades stuff). Obviously "top" means that they have better stats than the stuff you asked about.
*not really sure, been AGES I've looked carefully at the merchant stuff...
Tif, then take a quick peek at the no-grade Jewelry right now. You will notice the stats on all no-grade Jewelry has been stripped post-maintenance, not sure if its a ninja patch or simply a bug.
I took a look at the shops in detail, and now am just wondering what to do with my situation. Look in my Grade D vs Grade C thread for more details plz.
Blue Diamond Necklace is a D-grade item, I'm 90% sure of it. I don't really want to open client just to check...
As for the no-grade jewels, I'm pretty sure it's like Yidao says: a lot of descriptions and stats in the game are wrong. There are even some skills with the description belonging to another skill, generating a lot of confusion (I'm talking about Rage and Challenge Aura, here. But I'm sure there are other examples).
I wouldn't bother too much with NG jewels. You go to D-grade in max 1 hour after the creation of the character.
Well I am stuck in a 6 week cycle of looking for legit clan and good mentor, and not able to get either one. So I make a new char, lvl to the 60s, look for a clan and mentor, dont find one, so I delete that char, make new, lvl to 60s, and do the same process. 6 weeks of this....so I am fully aware how fast it is to lvl up early on. :) I am just wondering where do I go from here? No clan and no mentor means very slow lvling up. Near impossible past the 70s with no mentor or clan.
Six weeks of seeking a mentor that is good, and a legit clan to join. Had to delete a char when time ran out on his gear and he was a few lvls away from awakening.
Again, in 6 weeks of my seeking a legit clan and good mentor, it has been a bad experience for me. Cant progress past lvl 70 without a mentor or clan. So I am not going to log into the game and do nothing. I delete my chars and remake them.....simply to be able to play.
No need to delete a lv 80 toon just for that... That way, not only you lose time, but mentors are more prone to mentor a lv 80+ toon that a lv 50+ one.
I know you can buy things from the shop. Making Adena is not as "automatic" as most ppl say it is. >.< I am not understanding why there are so many non-legit clans on Bartz. If i had a clan and a mentor, i would commit to a char and go the distance. As it stands, if I keep looking for hours and hours, i end up doing nothing. Chicken or the egg?
I am not able to find a clan nor a mentor, so if I wish to play, i delete chars at the 60s and simply remake it, if I cant find a mentor or clan (which has been the case) and if I do not delete a char, I am not playing the game. I am standing around. Chicken or the egg. Which one first? Raise a char to 70s and get stuck no mentor buffs, how to get to 80s then? Delete, rinse, repeat till mentor and clan is found. Such a silly spin.....
Cant box myself, underpowered computer. Cant progress past lvl 70s without mentor. Clan is a luxury but the mentor (a good one) is a necessity. You have never had a problem finding either I gather? Well for six weeks now, I been seeking both. Please re-read that time frame: 6 weeks. Of looking and not finding some help. So of course I will delete chars and remake them if that is all that is left for me to do.
I will mentor you. I am on pretty much 24 7 and my penalty should expire in 2 days so pm me in game. As far as your request for legit clans, that's like wishing for the moon. Everyone who plays lineage 2 is playing to be the best of the best. Until ncsoft takes serious action against rmt and bots people will take whatever advantage they can to get ahead. Mentor is a necessity nowadays but I guess you never did the pre god grind.

I am on like 10 - 12 hrs a day. I will be playing my Bladedancer whom is at lvl 68 currently. If this is your ingame name, I will whisper you with my main in a short time. Miraculously, a legit clan leader JUST whispered me out of the blue and I am in due process of joining a new, and legit, clan.
