I'm finding it difficult to find English speaking players. Is it the server I'm playing on, or is it just a low level thing?
When the game went f2p, the population that migrated are mainly non English speaking players..
Not to mention Innov has stricter rules so a lot of those players came to NC west, for it seems that it's easyier to break the rules and get away with it, on the forums and in game..
I am playing in Shilen. I am from Spain but I usually speak english default.
Many times, I speak in english in a Party(Kartia, Soa, random,...), all the others respond in English. Later.... we realize that we are all Spanish, lol :p
This happens many times, everyone is spanish in the Party and we are speaking english :D
You should have no trouble speaking in English. Many people with another language can speak both languages.
Also, a-lot of people don't even type in game. Most players use programs like ventrilo or teamspeak to talk to each other while playing the game. Try finding an english speaking clan and im sure you will find more than you thought.
@True: I am on Bartz, and you are kind of correct about there being some english speaking clans about, but not as many as you may think. I suspect each server has its own concentration of English and non-English clans. Bartz has from what I have seen over the past few months, very few English speaking ppl period.
I'm on Chronos, and the majority of people here speak English. Guessing your on the wrong server.
Most speak it? Well, well, it appears you and I play at completely different times. Because most of the population are Br's, Gr's, Fr's and whatever other r's there are. And most speak little if any English. This is just from my experience of course :)
btw, I have to consider, it's soo amazing when you're in a peek situation and all your partners are talking/joking/blaming on any russian, greek or other foreign language enough to put you away of what **** is going on. I <3 L2!

Same here.
I comunicate with other players in english. As it's teached in many countries as a second languaje in schools, most people listen to english music or uses english webpages and computer softwares I guess most people will know how to answer you in english.
In my particular case I was insulted multiple times in greek so I googled and asked some players from Greece,Russia and Brasil and created a wordpad with most of greek/russian/portuguese insults just to know if I was insulted haha
Take into consideration that a huge chunk of "old" Western, english-speaking population has moved on to newer games. What used to be a great gaming environment has turned into a bottomless pit of ignorance with the game going F2P back in December.

I play on Chronos, but I have found that while a lot of the players there speak English, there are probably more that speak Portuguese. I have nothing against people from other countries at all, but lately I keep getting people telling me to speak to them in Portuguese instead of English, which I can't help but get aggravated about. THIS IS AN ENGLISH LANGUAGE GAME PEOPLE! You don't play an English language game and then have the nerve to expect people to translate what they say into Portuguese for you! If you don't know what people are saying, you really shouldn't be playing it. After all, if you don't understand English you won't understand anything any of the NPC's say!

This ^.The game has lost it's magic since then.
I Remember that mysterious quietness around Aden,it was like a never ending summer afternoon.
I have never had a problem finding english players on chronos.
Get to a high level and you will fall into a group of people that speak english.
My friend-list is full and all of them speak english, I have been playing since late open beta but.... I never had a problem communicating even with people that don't use english as a 1st language they usually communicate well enough to form a group and play l2... not like it's rocket science.
L2 isn't dead... Your just not in with the right crowd so they ignore you!
