The higher Wit of the Sps is useless because casting speed gets capped and it is possible for even the spellhowler to reach this cap negating the benefit of being a light elf. As magic attack does not appear to have a reachable cap dark elves continue to benefit from having a higher Int no matter how high their m attack is.
