Testing: Weapon Attribute effect on Healer skills (Dark Force, Dark Veil)
Question: Does having 150 or 300 Attribute on a weapon make any difference on the damage dealt by Dark Veil, as opposed to having 0 attribute on it?
Reason: I want to buy a weapon with attribute. Will not buy it if it turns out it doesnt benefit my class.Player: Aeore Healer (lvl. 85)
Enemy: Othell Rogue (lvl. 85) with 20 Water Resist
Weapons: Apocalypse Retributer, Apocalypse Retributer with 150+ Water, and Apocalypse Retributer with +300 Water.
Dark Veil Damage with Apocalypse Retributer: 2064
Dark Veil Damage with Apocalypse Retributer +150 Water: 2407
Dark Veil Damage with Apocalypse Retributer +300 Water: 2663
Dark Force Damage with Apocalypse Retributer: 1532
Dark Force Damage with Apocalypse Retributer +150 Water: 1786
Dark Force Damage with Apocalypse Retributer +300 Water: 1977
Thanks!!
o_O how does Water element effect a magical nuke that has no element? I'm lost here - & You turned off that "Random damage" or w/e?
Thanks Juji I was looking for this :)

Now I am curious, would having Dark element help the healer "dark" skills? (are they dark element in any way?) or would Holy be any different? or is any element the same damage?

I'm guessing a DE healer would get +10 to wind when using wind element?

"When non-attribute skills are used, the attack attribute bonus that can be checked on the character information screen is applied."

Random damage was turned off.

"When a skill attribute and an item attribute are the same and are both applied, their affect value is combined."

Having a dark attribute bonus will be combined with your dark skills.

Thanks Juji! Dark it is for my healer then :D
So you're saying since we have these lame racial passive skills that add +10 Water Attack/Resist (as a Light elf) that I'm attacking with 10 Water element and having my damage reduced by 60% as my opponents elemental resists are significantly higher than my 10 water? -.- That I have NO option but to put 300 element on my weapons for olympiad?
The new elemental system bonuses are much smaller. Check here (http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/l2_friend/article?mid=29860&prev=29897&next=29815&l=a&fid=148) for test results on Taiwanese servers (The graphs/tables are self-explanatory; First one is for damage bonus when [attack>defense], second one for the damage malus when [defense>attack]).

Also when attacking with a "non-element attack" (nothing on weapon and nothing on skill) it will go against the highest elemental resist on the target, so having something is always better than nothing.
You might still wanna get a 300 weapon for oly, every point of damage counts :p
Anyway, Healers nukes are non-attributed by default, despite their names. At 99 they're enchantable for attribute (Holy or Dark), but until then, they'll get the equipped weapon's elemental value.

Neat find, and Google Chrome FTW w/ the translations. It made it pretty much understandable. Thanks mate.

Healer skills have no element.

Do this apply to physical skills aswell, or only magic?
