Yesterday was a big victory for those battling the Chaotic forces of Shilen, after a heated battle I was vanquished and dropped my beloved level 73 Fenrir!
I use the event items bought with Mentee diplomas to prevent dropping armor/weapons. I have friends that have confirmed the loss of bound items, they were dropped and automatically destroyed when killed in a chaotic state.
Attack Speed affects skills that are displayed as "Physical", and Casting Speed affects skills that are displayed as "Magic" in the Skill window.

I'm referring to those who believe they are so important in the grand scheme of the game PKers are seeking them out just to kill them. If you fit this description... you most certainly are one of many.
I haven't any proof I run faster than any other Dark Elf but thanks for the complement. If we have any type of support we stick around and fight, if we don't... it would be down right stupid to stand ground. Even my non-spelling, noob, no class having simple mind is capable of that strategy.
For the record I know I suck at spelling and I appreciate your concerns... this is a MMO forum... normally only girls and high school teachers give me critiques on spelling. So you don't waste any more time... It doesn't hurt my feelings if I have lost credibility in the eyes of those I PKed.

This is a good point of view. Even in real life Serial Killers have the right to kill those that want to stop the reign of terror… wait a minute. Your crimes keep adding up in the real world just like in this system. If I choose to use murder to solve the issues I have with others around me, I take on all the attached consequences to that act. If the authorities post my picture on every tree and tell everyone to apprehend me at all cost and I kill one of them I am now even more wanted and will pay an additional penalty for yet another murder. That seems so long ago... we were all just getting used to the new and improved Karma/PK system. Must have been like my second or so PK, brings tears to my eyes, I'm over nine thousand PKs now.
Truth be told, the penalty for committing murder in this realm is a joke. Most of us witness these murders without a shudder and animals are slain by the thousands in a single hour. We live in a world were killing is an occurrence that puts clothes on our backs, weapons in our hands and Adena in our pockets. Everything around us is killed repeatedly and everyone that walks these lands will be killed. I am not sure why we are not more callous towards this major part of this adventure. Stop caring if you die and enjoy the time you have.
These last few months have been so much fun and with the new changes coming we will be PKing with even more vigor.

Honestly, I don't take the time to figure who, what or when. You have an interesting concept... killing my alts, that's a great idea! Wait then they would lose hard earned XP and I would have to PM myself a few obscenities when I return from being AFK. I would guess it is 80-90% bots, the reason I think it is so high is most live players wouldn't keep fighting defenseless mobs when someone in their party is taking a beat down by a noob like me, right?
Yes, I die several times a day... but I don't think it is personal when this happens and it doesn't actually hurt my character emotionally or physically.
Truth be told... I log on, buff up in the once bot infested town Goddard and port out looking for bots, I PK everything I see(or hear) and just move on. Heading across the map east to west, north to south, whichever area I can get a port into (some players I know help me move around when they see bots).
A few times I have accidentally PKed the players who've brought me to their bot infected location... I get into a frenzy (working with therapist on this "issue") but I rarely waste time just sitting at a port PKing peeps porting. For the record if I am at a port waiting to be summoned and players arrive I just have to PK them... it is in my nature, but I don't set out to camp a port.

This was after a couple hours of pking bots non-stop in Giants Cave / cod / sel mahum / and other random places people requested clearing. But getting bots gets old... so we decided to end the adventure at the port-spot and kill till someone ported in to stop us. GJ DW!
In our defense we weren't entirely callous... 2 nubs pm'd me nicely and asked if they could do their quest, we rezzed them. gave them aeore buffs and let them be on their way. Mabey some people just need to learn some manners and not get so offended.
The red was a Summoner i think (she was able to suspend toons in mid air).She was helped by LE (I believe) and an Orc ISS of some kind with dual Blunts. The helpers weren't Red.
Someone was shouting of reds at the Shrine. I logged in a level 25 mule got the protection buff and ported there.
The summoner tried to kill with some sort of fire spell but i just laughed at her saying I had a **** so the Orc, which wasn't red hit me and i died and he went red lol.
Then they killed a few more at the port and then the DeathWish Clan showed up. Didn't take long really for them to clean it up.

Yea it is actually lol. We been pretty nice lately duno why... we go pk the bots in shrine of loyal and let newbies do their quests while we farm programmers. Got a couple new friends to join us, been posting in the chronos section under perma-red bot killer party thread heheheh
We went to dvc and killed "some totally legit afk exp-ers" over and over, but we had speer come and fight n rez the bots. (not saying speer from renovatio is protecting his bot group btw, totally not this guy, just 15 coincidences every time we pk'd this group).
I will try and take more screens of us pking in new places though! Usually don't get many screens of the higher-level places because im too busy fighting, haha!
(a-lot easier to get a good screenshot of you pking a botter or newb than when fighting a live player, heheh)

Yay b4 God i did my sineater daily and i mean DAILY took less then a buff round to complete on my subclass and i was able to pk those wormy lil maggots that think "he wont go red" with no concerns over gear dropping so maybe glory days wont be so bad as i can "wash my sins" again kinda like the confessional 3 hail marys and a glory be, to kill again :) another thing im more into killing live ppl that QQ over it. if ur perma red has a bound item and it dies, it doesn't get dropped as a non bound item, the item gets destroyed.

So... there I was doing some calisthenics on the beach when this "Orc" ran by and kicked sand in my face. Granted I was doing Downward Dog at the time and may have to take some of the responsibility for this altercation... I lost my temper and killed this so called Mage continuously for what seemed like 90 minutes straight, my form of a P90 workout I guess.

After clearing Pavel Ruins of lambs I noticed this stranger anomaly just outside the city gates, regardless of light or dark magic being cast upon the town these two banners just float above the hill side.
With gatekeepers we miss the grandeur of the countrysides the beauty that surrounds us is reduced to a black whisp and an Adena transaction. We should be able to fly from town to town... just imagine all we miss with the current system.
With magic carpets we would see mostly empty zones.
I once checked Hot Springs above the monster area for the daily quest (towards the Rainbow Spring Chateau), and it was literally empty. The only thing I saw was the altar for summoning the gorilla boss.
I have been the owner of a few Forts and a southern Castle which allowed me to fly my Wyvern across this great world many times and while there are voids to be found there is much to be seen and appreciated.

So true. I've always thought that the zones were created too large in comparison to the character models. There's so much more to see from a higher vantage point, especially in the older zones. And it's artistically stunning.
Thanks to Glory Days being upon us I've taken some time to evaluate my needs to get closer to my victims as they transition to the Carebear clouds above us. Here are a few pictures of me in training for my new class.
I have tested both the “Event” armor & weapon and I found they did not, I repeat, did not go boom upon the numerous deaths of a chaotic character. This test included 10+ consecutive deaths in which some valuable items were lost to validate items were destroyed.
Unfortunately, ncsoft has just about made going red in L2 for more than one kill useless. You could always level up and contribute to the player community. Your "red" endeavour was interesting to read though.
I have gone to some of my ole stomping grounds and found the same "type" of characters running around mindlessly... just letting me PK them over and over again.
On a side note, there is a new limit restriction to how much negative reputation you can acquire.

9000 pks huh....sort of impressive.....whats really impressive is Hug3Douch3r with over 14,000 pks and he hasnt been around much lately ( he in the Military )...when you surpass his total, ill be really impressed. I will say this tho...i really enjoy this thread, kinda neat how ya roam around the map and get us guessing. and yes...ya even got me once too ( i was online ordering pizza from pizzahut when ya got me...Doh my Bad ! lol Keep up the good work ;)

Death and PK System
It is now possible to level down in certain conditions:
The character must be above level 86.
The amount of XP lost upon death or due to an XP-decreasing penalty takes the character level to below 0% on their XP progress bar.
It's possible for a character level-down as far as level 85 and 0% XP, but not lower.
If a character level 86 or higher has graduated from Mentee status, it is not possible to regain Mentee status even if the character levels-down below level 86.
When a character levels down to 4 levels below that of an acquired skill, the skill is deleted or its stage is decreased accordingly.
For example, if you are level 90 and acquired a new skill at level 90, the skill is deleted if you de-level to 86. If the deleted or decreased skill had been enchanted, the enchantment effect will be reset.
The item drop penalty for killed Chaotic characters with a PK value or 5 or above has changed:
Before: Up to 5 items are destroyed at random, including augmented items.
Now: Up to 5 items are dropped (or destroyed if Bound) at random, including augmented items. For augmented items, the augmentation option is deleted before they are dropped.

When a character levels down to 4 levels below that of an acquired skill, the skill is deleted or its stage is decreased accordingly.
For example, if you are level 90 and acquired a new skill at level 90, the skill is deleted if you de-level to 86. If the deleted or decreased skill had been enchanted, the enchantment effect will be reset.
The item drop penalty for killed Chaotic characters with a PK value or 5 or above has changed:
Before: Up to 5 items are destroyed at random, including augmented items.
Now: Up to 5 items are dropped (or destroyed if Bound) at random, including augmented items. For augmented items, the augmentation option is deleted before they are dropped.

When you use mixed sets using common top armor and other rare parts, the common set bonus and rare item bonus will be stacked. However, the rare top armor parts won't count as the set.

the mdef/pdef change is ******ed. if it is of any consequence the man responsible for that decision was fired.
So there I was killing C level Orcs, laughing and chatting up those lowbies, when low and behold I found myself falling... I looked up and this is what my eyes saw.

Not only legit it was a way for the community to police itself and deal with automated smelling toons! Thanks for taking that away and leaving us with just watching them kill the mobs we need for quests!

Characters below level 99 and not currently hero status can purchase - Scroll of Guardian Angel. When this scroll is used, chaotic characters (PKs) won't be able to damage you for a 36 hour period. Scroll of Guardian Angel doesn't work on battlefields (for example, during castle sieges or territory battles).
Thanks to the GoD tales we have been in grinding hell these past months, believe me it is painful actually grinding, hour after hour, day after day, week upon week for just a level. Even I find myself becoming a casual player, staying offline for days… dreading the grind.
Now is the time to climb out of the below 99 hell that many of us dwell in. Even though this new update is just a few days away, it is time to get back into the grind. Yes, I am talking about each instance, every raid boss available and even some old fashion hardcore grinding. It is the only way for us legit players to gather the XP required to level. There is no easy way to our goals, in fact the grind is going to get even more difficult with the impending changes. Now, I can't tell you the best way to level. I'm too casual of a player these days. But now is the time to intensify your grind.
I look around and I see all my alts and subs and I think... I mean, I made every wrong choice a fanboi could make. I squandered away all my resources on Blessed Weapon Enchants, useless armor and antiquated weapons. I chased off every constant party that has ever invited me to level. And lately, I can't even stand to macro the boxed tank I created to grind a few hours on a Yin, sharing my XP with two alts just so I can level my main eats me up.
You know when you get old you start forgetting little things, best Raid Bosses, great grinding spots, weapon and armor statistics. That's… it’s just part of my version’s lifecycle. We only learn about the true give and take of life once we start forgetting what we once knew. You find out that life is just a game of attaining and losing levels.
This is also the lifecycle within Lineage 2. In this game, as with any other game, the margin of success seems much smaller 33%. It is far easier to lose XP than it is to gain, I mean one failed Raid Boss yesterday or four deaths during an instance today and you don't quite make your daily XP goals.
The experience points we need to level are everywhere around us. They are the very essence of the game, every minute, every second we spend playing strive for more experience points. That is the core of the problem for many players I have encountered… the harsh reality of losing that precious, hard to earn XP has discouraged, I dare say impeded, their full enjoyment of Lineage 2. Their quest to gather experience points takes away from the enjoyment of the virtual experience.
I'll tell you this... in any situation, it is the player who is willing to risk their character’s virtual death that truly enjoys Lineage 2.
The screen in front of your face may be where you see this virtual world, it is not where you live and breathe this experience.
You got to look at the character you created. Look into those pixels. I think you are going to realize this character is willing to do those long hours with you. The character was created to sacrifice everything for your entertainment... your virtual being, when it comes down to it, that character will eventually have every pixel dispersed, you may be the very one that starts it’s seven day deletion process with a single click. Or even worst... staying offline... the character just fades away.
That's the reality of Lineage 2 guys... an illusion of many imaginations.

There was no fix for the Chaotic role-players. So, the oppression of one minority continues and others frolic through the fields holding hands and reading poetry.
The character that picks up a Cursed Sword is instantly transformed into a dark warrior. The transformation is the same for both male and female, although the transformation is different for each sword. Upon transforming, the player’s name is replaced with the name of the Cursed Sword, both above their avatar and also in chat. In addition, the Cursed Sword possessor goes into a Chaotic state (red) instantly, and his or her HP, CP, and MP are fully recovered (100%). Through the power of chaos and anonymity, the Cursed Sword holder is driven into PvP combat in order to satisfy the sword's hunger for blood.
Remove the current ridiculous PK system and implement this equally ridiculous Chaotic Player system.
Chaotic Player Limitations
Once a character has 20 PKs, penalties such as experience point loss, item drops, karma increases, etc. will not be applicable to either side in PvP when a chaotic player engages other players.
A chaotic player cannot attack players which are 10 levels below theirs. In the same respect, players must be within 10 levels to attack chaotic players.
Chaotic players are recognized to everyone as enemies of the land, players and non-players will act accordingly everywhere, at all times.
A chaotic player cannot join a party with other players. If a player becomes chaotic while in a party, that character is automatically withdrawn from that party. Chaotic players cannot use the party matching system or command channel.
A chaotic player cannot give or accept buffs and may not be healed or heal other players. However, he or she may use buffs and heal themselves. Chaotic players may summon a pet/servitor and ride a pet.
A chaotic player can participate in the Olympiad. (Olympiad is conducted in some magical realm with no guards or territory alliance)
Was talking to some relics when I came across this sleepy Orc...I think he was too busy taking in the sights to defend himself. As you can see I wasted no time introducing myself, good PR... if all the lowbies know my trade they will be better protected.
Those whom truly are reaping the rewards of the PK Penalties. When I kill lowbies riding on their Kukuri they transform into a little Elpy and then back to their true forms, in enjoyable sight none the less.
I haven't needed a PK focused clan for support in quite some time. Back before the oppression of this style of game play a PK clan/group was beneficial for a Player Killer to function and thrive. Thanks to the developers anyone can actually do just fine player killing with newbie buffs (available up to 90) and a few summoners.
I would like to personally thank all the NCSoft Developers for the new Noblesse buff feature! Everyone is freaking out when I PK them, something about losing Pots and such that they paid real money for... I am laughing hard as I right this post. Care bears relax this new update is working as intended.

Well 1st week of running around and aweful pms from bots im catching up with u. I work 50 to 60 hours week so its been hard to catch u. But atm run around on toi or cruma u will run into me :)
I am what I am and there is no changing me... those that know me would say I am holding back. I would never admit to skipping through fields of flowers while holding hands and reciting poems or day dreaming of fluffy fairies.
My closest clan mates would say I have gone soft over the years... or since my kid started hanging out on our Ventrilo server.
Some would say I don't PVP as much since the PK Penalty features were implemented. Others would say I could never PVP. Either works for me, the fun is in the attempt to PK... the stalking... the hunt... the ganking... being in the posse or being chased down like a criminal.
In addition to that I get to repartee trifling topics throughout the day on these forums with a multitude of “personalities”, let’s just call this place a target rich environment. I don’t take much of what is posted from the community seriously, hardly anything I say should be taken seriously and only information from NCSoft should be considered as factual, albeit some errors here in there here.
While the DrachaVonDrachen persona is not an exact copy of my "Real World" personality it would be hard to fake for this long, 1Peri1 has eluded as much. Let me put it another way, most people whom meet me the first time think I'm a first rate ***hole, I'm OK with that perception. Those that get to know me tend to change their minds. In the "Real World" I tend not to care if I am perceived 100% correctly, I don’t think it really matters on the internet at all... let alone on the forums of a game.
At the end of the day everyone only knows what you want them to know about you, this community knows DrachaVonDrachen exactly. Dirt nap anyone?

Well said. I really don't care what anyone thinks of me,my sense of humor or what I wear. If you don't like it then clearly we can't be friends and you probably shouldn't look at me then either. The internet is not worth worrying about. I tell people like it is whether is nice or not,it's the truth so it most likely isn't pleasant. I don't try to be something I'm not.
