I just wanted to throw this out there, but as a healer, here are a list of things you should be watching for & doing during kartia aside from just healing.
1) Keep mark of lumi on bosses at all times and even regular mobs if players aren't needing heals or mp. But especially Zellaka -- always needs lumi on him.
2) When boss uses "Zellaka's roar" be ready to use radiant purge on tank (1st) then other melee DDs to rid them of fear
--- Tank is primary concern so that they can get back to boss quickly to hopefully maintain aggro of boss
3) Also, it is useful to to watch for "Zellaka's roar" and as he casts it use party celestial shield, if you are 87+. This will prevent fear from landing
4) Radiant Recharge! Esp. if you don't have a wynn. There is no reason to wait until a nuker or any other member of the party has completely run out of mp to then begin recharging. Even if they are only missing a little mp or you have just used rebirth...go ahead and keep recharging as best you can.
----With recharging, do not spam it. Allow the 10 seconds over time mp regen to take the full effect. This will help you conserve mp as well.
----Don't just rebirth every 10 minutes and if someone runs out of mp before it's up say "oh well"
5) If the kartia is going smoothly, help do damage with dark veil, mass dark veil, dark rain, and dark force.
Following 2 steps are courtesy of Alexiel:
6) You should use summon lumi to deal damage to either the boss, or to your party members (othell/yul/tyrr) in order to trigger counter critical. I personally find it easier to let the summon hit the boss while I hit my party members with dark veil. It does more dmg than summon (triggers cc sooner) and I can heal the same target while waiting for reuse of dark veil. dark force is not good for this because it may move the players away from the boss and may interrupt their skills when the knockback effect lands.
7) Fairy of life heals other party members too, not just the toon that has the buff. Keep fairy on at least 3 targets (preferably tank and melee DDs around the tank). 4 is possible (60s duration, 15s cooldown) but it's insane to keep it up, 3 is OK.
---Coutesy of xCleo: When a summoner is using cougars you can use Fairy of life on summoners and you will get 3 cougars with Fairy of life healing around other party members.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know it's not possible to do all this every second, but as long as you do these things as best you can...it will help the kartia go smoothly.
Post replies with more suggestions too! I'm sure I don't think of everything. I just want to make something for healers, especially ones newly awakened, to be directed too for them to help make better use of their skills. For those healers who already do all this & more, you rock! :D

I find this a bit nonsense. Healers are not supposed to deliver damage, and anyway they're the worst DDs along with the tank. Mass Dark Veil, in particular, requires a lot of MP to be cast. MP that can be used to heal or recharge.

That depends..lately i've had 2 healers on many kartias..but it went as smooth as having DDs, with 220 weapon u make max damage you possibily can.
Ofc i mean kartia 90+ where even a summoner like me can play tank in there with robe :D
If you have a kartia w/ 3 summoners and an archer....I didn't recharge at all and they needed so little healing...I didn't know what else to do but help do some damage...figured better than just standing there. That's why it's listed as an option because it's better than doing nothing.
And I share a weapon w/ my feoh sub so it's decently elemented..working toward 300. My damage doesn't seem to be totally useless especially when I have the spare mp. Doesn't hurt the party at all.... plus keeping the boss targeted majority of the time allows me to easily watch for when to redo debuffs & when fear is coming.

If you have a summoner with cougars in party, heal his cougars. You can't see their HP in party window and you can't see their HP bars above them in most cases, so cast progressive heal on the least injured character near the cougars (usually tank or iss). You should do that anyway, but when you see cougars, just spam it more often, even when your party members' HP is fine.
Recharge and mass recharge is more effective while lingering protection is on. Learn to use it after celestial protection wears off.
Fairies heal other party members too, not just the one that has the buff. Keep fairy on at least 3 targets (preferably tank and melee DDs around the tank). 4 is possible (60s duration, 15s cooldown) but it's insane to keep it up, 3 is OK. When someone says "OMG othell healed me for 1500HP!!1" just put a smiley in the party chat :)

Edit: You can see servitors hp with /statusbaron.
Very interesting. I thought that Fairy was a Blessed Blood awakened version, instead it heals targets around the one who has it on! Not that I noticed it anyway... :/
1. Pick healer to discard when you choose who to boot at the beginning.
(you need all the damage you can get)
2. When you are teleported into the first room, start buffing your fighter npc's *including all 3 summons from the summoner npc*
3. Run up the stairs and start healing support troops as needed
(quick heal works well) the more you keep alive, the faster the boss dies.
4. When you reach the second room just stay alive and let npc's do the work.
5. In the final room, wait till the "support troops" spawn, then start buffing them immediately, using chain heal occasionally to keep them alive while buffing.
6. After this you can basically sit back, watch your npc friends do all the work and heal them occasionally.
1. buff ( wizard for you , warior for lumi ) and enter
2. kick archer
3. buff 4 npc and go upstairs to heal first kartia prisoner whitch loses hp
4. go down and run to second stairs
5. /target kartia prisoner and use progresiwe to UP :P ( i love that )
6. block progresive heal on kartia prisoner
7. go afk till 7 stage start - debuff and kill rb
8. go up and debuff+ lumi atack mini rb til he run
9. start buff all you npc helper that you save
10. all time use progresiv heal to npc + debuff to RB
11. 22 minuts and kartia solo ended ( and most of time do nothing/be afk )
1. buff ( wizard for you , warior for lumi ) and enter
If this is possible I just learned something new.
You can use a separate harmony for your summon as yourself?
Can someone confirm?
2. kick archer
Why would you kick the archer, sacrifice less damage... and keep the healer that almost never heals you... You are a healer... you can heal yourself...
KEEP THE ARCHER, you can buff him to deal more damage, he attacks with range so he doesn't get feared as often by the raid-boss. Keeping the archer is more damage +++++.

You can. Just tell the iss (or make it by yourself if it's a boxed buffer) to use Wiz on you and then War on the summon. You just need to be in the same party: pets and summons are treated like party members when it comes into giving single target buffs.

Because archer spends most of the time kiting instead of giving damage... And the healer, on the other hand, can recharge you. ;)

Ok ok, I see the logic here I guess.
I have seen the archer pop a couple good hits on zellkada though :).
Myself, I havn't had issues with MP, I do however have sub-class skills/clan skills that could be influencing my mana regeneration.
I guess it isn't going to hurt or help you horribly either way. Depends on playstyle, character skill etc... I would still choose archer, but it's not like kartia solo is hard anyway.

Ridiculous lie.
The archer aoe's the waves of mobs that rush you.
If any of the dd's is lazy its the warrior.
But I really dont see why you would need to bring the healer. I have 8k mp left 10 mins into it...
Solo kartia is basically buffing the npc's and then standing at the bottom of the staircase throwing progressive heals on the prisoners every now and then. The mobs barely reach you at all.
Second room you round em up and do 2 aoe skills, then lumi and nuke the boss until half hp, make sure to keep it alive so you get extra time to buff your new 10 npcs on stage 3 in the next room.
I used to try and nuke all the mobs in the beginning too, but once I tried it with all the dd's, there is just no point to ever keep the healer anymore. Alot less effort and even faster time with no healer.
In my experiences (at least, before the last kartia fix, with the current AI) the archer was simply running around like a headless chicken. If they fixed it, for the better, time to choose archer over healer.
I take out the summoner, and the only thing I do is buff NPC, tree, fairy on me, and run. A bit of progresive heal and run in circles close to the capitain.
With the boss... keep distance, tree, mark of lumi and progresive heal, dissolve.... And run! run! run!
Interesting how we all develop different tactics. This is how I do K90:
I leave the healer--want max damage from NPCs.
In 1st room, I buff the NPCs, ignore the prisoners, attack, heal the NPCs, don't summon Lumi at all. Run and heal a bit when mini-boss spawns. If I have stuff going on IRL, I stand in the safe spot I found until stage 7.
In 2nd room, I help attack the mini-boss just so it moves to next room as fast as possible. I don't try to kill it--waste of shot and time.
In 3rd room, I stay in the back of the room. I face the wall in the back corner after each wave so that the NPCs come to me and stay in the back also. This way they don't agro the mini boss from 2nd room when it spawns during stage 7 and I don't have to kill or deal with it at all. Sometimes I get lucky and the NPCs in stage 7 float back to the front and all I have to deal with is Peline.
It's been a while since I did K85 on healer, but I remember a lot more running around. I even used my horse sometimes LOL.
