As a healer using sustain on yourself.. Does that make the heals you give to others, more powerfull?

Technically yes.
But it makes the heal on others more powerful if you put it on someone else too.
There are 2 parts to it. One buff appears on the target you cast it on, making them get healed for more, when healed.
The other part of it appears on you, making your heals stronger when you cast them.
It's also a heal over time, but not something you should rely on keeping ppl alive by itself, much like the tree, with it's random heals.

Well, I would assume any healer in pvp keeps this skill on itself, and the main target they are healing currently. It is a half second cast or so, very fast.
