So I stopped playing right after C2. There seems to be so much to catch up on and I've read a lot about the path to awakening, used the search features, etc - but I still have two questions:
1) The mentoring system: What level do you have to be before you can mentor someone and where do you go about doing this?
2) Since all classes "awaken" to just 7 classes, can you explain the point of making dwarves anymore? Are spoilers/crafters not needed now that you get handouts most of leveling? Evenso, after you awaken to a rogue or warrior class, how can one spoil/craft after awakening if you lose all of your previous classes skills?

Thanks!
1. level 85 and go to system menu, friend manager, click mentoring tab and the "+" button, type in the name.
2. Rogues get a "plunder" skill which is like spoiling. Dwarfs can still craft after awakening. The craft system has been pretty much obsolete. R grade crafting is still a important aspect.
Get to lvl 40, collect your mentee cert, look for a mentor via shout in town, or clan, or friend. They're online, you get buffs and xp bonus, as well as the mentor receives a small 10% xp bonus while you're on. Every time you lvl the mentor receives coins with which he/she can purchase special items..the higher the mentee's lvl, the greater the coin amount. The mentor receives coins until you graduate at lvl 86. At lvl 85, one can become a mentor, simply by accepting someone...but when you are a mentor, you cannot be a mentee, so you lose your buffs and xp bonus, which is more harmful than good, as it will slow down your progress to lvl 86. Why is 86 important? Because at 86 the mentee can trade his/her mentee cert in for 40 diplomas....with the diplomas you can purchase R grade armors, jewels, weps, and shots.
Get to 40..get a mentor..get to 86..get geared..get mentees of your own..get coins..upgrade your weps/gear with them.
