I just wanna give you a heads up. It's the second time today that it is trying to get my computer infected by its nasty trojans.
I don't know what happened with this site.
Last week it gave me a fake police ransom trojan, asking me to pay 100 euro via ukash cards in order to unlock my computer. It looks official, as if it's sent from the real police but of course it's not. It took me almost one and half hour to get rid of it. Normal AVG's won't find this virus. If you get infected, you won't be able to use your computer anymore.
So if you want to save yourselves the time and effort you put on your computer and accounts, do not visit this site. Normal AVG's can't find some of these new trojans that work as backdoors to your PC and files. These hackers are good.
Today again, I tried to revisit the l2wiki site and it almost gave me another trojan. Thank god AVG blocked it this time.
How I removed the fake police ransom trojan?
1. Reboot your PC
2. Run windows on safe mode with networking. That means you will access your windows files, drivers and internet connection only and you choose which programs to run.
I tried to find other solutions that were way more complicated at the time, but this is the fastest way. Again I would say I am a very experienced computer user and I know what I'm doing but when I think about it, when it comes to these pro hackers there is nothing you can do but avoid these sites and run scans on your PC with different virus scanners. Anyone who says he doesn't need an AVG because he's good he's only fooling himself and believe me I know people who don't use any.
Listen guy, I'm trying to help people and warn them about a site that gave me trojans. You are not obligated to use any of these links and they don't contain keylogs. I'm just showing the forum my experience and how I solved it. So please move on and spam the next thread. Every post you make is a spam. I wonder why you're still on forums.
i got same **** some months ago, but while i was opening a website of news (i dont know how are called).
took me 3 days for understand how clean my pc from that ****.
and ccleaner didnt helped me a lot >.< i just download all trial version of antivirus and hoped to find one to remove that ****

It's not L2Wiki's fault. I myself got this trojan while surfing on perfectly known and safe sites.
I believe it's a Russian trojan or something like that.
Anyway, the point is: you can get this trojan whatever you're doing, it seems to infect machines randomly.
I'm not saying that everytime you open the page you will get a trojan, but 2 times in last 2 weeks it has tried to give me a one and the first time my anti-virus couldn't help against the ransom trojan.
And yes it is l2wiki's fault for not protecting their site.
Btw, l2wiki is the only site that is having this kind of activity from all the sites that I visit.
are you sure you got it from this site or you opened some "funny" emails. this would be really bad, because this site is really popular. guess the trojan could be in the advertisements they have on their site.
My anti virus reported a password stealing trojan a few days ago after i visited l2wiki. I dont believe there is any issue with the website itself it looks more like its coming from the 3rd party advertising that they use.
