My main class is 88 ISS DE and I have 2 subs, Shillien Templar and Hawkeye. Like most people, I stopped playing a few years ago and came back to the game about 3-4 months ago. I have been trying to find some information about Dual Class, but every thing that I find (at least on NC Soft Website) is extremly vague.
I guess my questions are:
1. Should I make my sub Shillien Templar my Dual Class?
2. What things should I consider before choosing a Dual Class?
3. What Subclass Skills should I take?
The reason that I made my sub as knight was because I noticed that most party groups are always looking for tanks, so I thought it would allow me to always have groups to join. From discussing the tank class to others in game, I hear many responses that tank class is boring and that all you do is cast hate a lot.
1. Should I make my sub Shillien Templar my Dual Class?
If you know a bit how Sigel is and you like it, do it.
As Iss you play in Heavy ( i guess) Sigel play in heavy too so you don't need to buy a new whole gear.
But you need to know that it's not obligatorily to Dual Class your first sub.
2. What things should I consider before choosing a Dual Class?
Be sure that you won't change your mind, Dual class is irreversible, so if you choose it, you can't delete and make another dualclass.
3. What Subclass Skills should I take?
As iss, i choose reuse/mp decrese comsuption and critical rate.
If you can play correctly none class is boring, and you can always increase your value in a party.
Tank who onlyspam aggro are dumb, you can (and have to) do more more thing.
1. Should I make my sub Shillien Templar my Dual Class?
Only if you want to play another non-DD class. I wanted a DD so I awakened a Feoh as my dual.
2. What things should I consider before choosing a Dual Class?
Only what I wrote above. Tanks are always in demand, but you can still find parties if you're a good DD.
3. What Subclass Skills should I take?
Clarity/reuse (3 lvls), Crit Chance (3lvls), Mental Resist, and then prob either crit dmg or physical debuff resist.

Thanks for the helpful advice and not just smart-***** remarks. I know a lot of people ask the same questions a lot, but not every post is EXACTLY the same questions.
I have another account where I have a lvl 87 Feoh Wizard, which was my first account/toon. I got frustrated after the Draco Update, because I really felt that the Wizard got nerfed (at least I felt REALLY weak), so I rerolled an ISS. I really enjoy playing ISS as I feel I can do just fine solo and/or duo and/or group. I really know NOTHING about dual classes as I haven't played since C4. I've been trying to find info on L2 website, but I can't find much and what I can find is very very vague.
I was assuming that tank would be an ideal class to dual class, because I could share the same heavy armor armor, which would save me on money and item space limits. I like playing the Shillien Templar, so far, but I'm using dualswords, so I think I've been playing it more like a DD in heavy armor. I just don't want to select a dual class and later find out that I could have done something else that would have worked better with my main class.
As both ISS and Tank should have defensive gear and builds, those 2 would be ideal dual classes. Infact I chose ISS as my tanks dual class.
That's pretty cool! I feel better knowing that someone else has the same basic toon. :) Sounds like I did it backwards though. What race are you? What level is the main and iss? What server do you play?
