I think the official answer was they are working on a solution and in the meantime we should ignore the spam.
Howabout, they continue to work on a solution, but in the meantime have a GM patrolling from town to town insta-banning accounts for spamming?
It's not an elegant solution, but it would end all the forum complaints.
Dude they are fighting bots for 7 year's now.Really is that hard to ban the program?Is it that hard to ban the RMT shots?
Innova found a solution.Their server's are free of bots,free of RMT shouts.

The only answer's you receive from NCWest is a polite and at the same time a lie for an answer!
Staff working 24/7 fighting an imaginary battle.
There is no one that is banning people,no one is solving ticket's from reporting bots.
Cause if they where,we wouldn't have fake heroes that botted and run bot trains,we wouldn't have RMT shouts.
They can implement a program that block's "the program" used to bot.
Question is why aren't they doing that?
Why don't they give a ****?
Instead of shirts ++++ vit pots etc they should fix server problems.
Find a way or ask for Innova help in order to ban the program used for Boting and PVP!

So much bot-free that some months ago, they initiated a bot-hunting event...
It is rather suspect that they slowly have made it easy for bots to do their thing. I would think a few sweeps a night would at least clean up shout, as the bots in the open world don't really bother me.
Plus in the name of the meek they made pking way too much work to be bothered with.
It saddens me a bit to admit this but I am increasingly of the opinion that since people have been so brazen in their RMT advertisements and botting activities and since NCSoft has seemingly turned a blind eye to it, they are, in effect, condoning these activities.
I am saddened, not because I am planning on engaging in such activities but because I am on the verge of giving up on this game completely, because of it.
Yeah, I know, who cares if there is one less player...
Still better than not banning the most known cheaters anyway.

I do agree the RMT characters have made the Shout, in some towns also the General, chat channels useless. I have simply turned the shout channel off. I am pretty sure NCSoft is working on this issue, just as they have in previous versions. They have knocked this sort of activity back a level or two in the past and I believe they will again.
Bottom line I understand that all the whining and complaining at this point will not make things happen any fast, they are aware and are working on this issue and a few other issues.
Suspecting they have new chars waiting when the old ones are banned. Perhaps they first should close down the industrial production line of new characters that seem to do the class change quests fully automated.
Anyway, no idea if GMs are even there, how often they work. Think we should know, we have a GM 24h? 8h? 1 time a month? They are never visible.
Not sure if it means much but a gm logged onto chronos in Goddard around 6:30 est last week. I was sad to see he didn't ban the summoner bots at the adventurer helper and idk if he banned the RMT shouters cause they were already blocked.
