Came back after being away for a few days, tried to block the Adena seller that was using the entire shout screen, and after 10 or more fails, am wondering if there is something wrong here. I haven't had this problem before. The seller is, ewqcvdsafd: . when I enter that, it says i have failed to register the user to my Ignore List. Anyone else having this problem?
try clicking it's name in chat like you were going to PM it,delete the whisper command and type /block
You might be getting one the characters wrong when you type it or missed one. They have been using some longer names with random numbers and letters lately to make it more of a hassle for you to block
Reluctantly, I turned my town shout and trade chats off to avoid the spam. I like to see what people are saying in town sometimes, so that sucks, but I got over it. And wouldn't ya freakin' know, they started spamming in the white chat now! I got this one guy that keeps popping up...I blocked him, but now I'm afraid it'll just be a matter of time til others follow suit. :eek:
Would it be so hard to give us longer blocklists? If u cannot stop the spammers at least u could do this. Seriously u do nothing about keeping this game alive...

Either increasing the size of block list, or making it limitless is a MASSIVE improvement over spending 15 minutes clearing block list to add more spammers. For all the dissatisfaction rmt spam has caused though, it makes me wonder why an NCsoft "investigator" doesn't procure whatever amount they can purchase for as cheap as possible, see who sold it to them.. and follow the money trail.. and send a hard line of bans down the path. You know, not that I'm actually encouraging RMT from anyone at all ever, but the company growing some cahoonas, manning up, dropping 5 bucks on one of those sites and ruining their livelihood would go a far way towards countering all this spam complaining on the forums. I'm sure it's been done, or whatever blah blah.. but knowing NCsoft's track record of messing everything up, I'm sure they did it wrong.

It makes me wonder what is keeping them from legally doing this. Personally, if I were in any kind of position to review the legalities I'd find a way to make it legal, and begin the process of making adena spammers lives miserable for ruining the game in the manner they have managed to do for my customers; ultimately butchering my potential for earning a profit off of the game myself. And I'd be extra certain to "investigate" whoever wrote up whatever legal contract saying I couldn't do something like this to get rid of these absolute pieces of garbage and make sure they didn't write it in that way so they safely operate their own personal adena selling websites. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest bit. But that's just me.
