Seriously Bugged Siege!

General Discussion Started Last reply 17 posts
At the Oren siege today on Chornus one of the attacking clans took the castle without breaking the inner doors or going through the throne room. They used an exploit to take the castle.

I would gm it but there are no gm petitions anymore. Go through support average turn around 4 - 6 days for an answer from support.

Fix the problems with the game like lack of customer support and maybe something as serious as castle sieges one gm should be on to monitor them?
I heard stories like that since C1. At least, it's been known on Gustin. I guess since this bug still exists and hasn't been fixed yet, you can't expect NCsoft to do anything about it by now.
In any case, the in-game map showed that the castle changed hands during the siege more than once, which makes your point moot: no matter how the castle was taken, any other clan could still re-take it, so they did.
Its not moot another clan may of never taken the castle to start with.

Once a castle falls not even allies can be in party together since they war tagged. SO if an ally had mixed parties after a castle falls their parties become ineffective.
Its not moot

If so, can you plz submit a support ticket then let us know the outcome? ;)

My bet is: "We've investigated your issue but we were not able to locate any evidence of exploiting game mechanics during the siege."
Castlelord has GMed it and apparently 2 other castles got it with the same exploit, inner doors were still up and someone else scribed. I believe they can now scribe from outside if they get real close to exterior rear wall and target the scribing stone.

Ahhh, now I recollect... it was years ago, HGSpam issued a warning to certain players that messed up a siege as they presumably abused game mechanics and exploited some bug related to geodata/terrain topology. He said he'd ban them next time.

Then someone asked him what if someone else does the same thing accidentally. Then Spam replied something like "don't worry, it's impossible to do it without knowing exactly where the bugged spot is".
So, it looks like HGMSpam is long gone, but history repeats itself?

Will HGMWill and HGMPommo enforce what Spam stated? Pommo was Upper tier GM under Spam so he was here when spam made that statement

PS what makes it worse was the clan leader that stole the castle sent a in game mail threatening to use the exploit unless the clan dropped the clan war. The paper trial is there, the other clan leader plainly stated they knew it was an exploit too lol
I don't like when the fun get's destroyed when people uses exploits. but if this has been here since the time of HGSpam the blame is at NCsoft for not fixing it.

There was a bug way back in the day, but I think this is a new one...
The same clan that did that in oren tried it in Aden castle here on chronos.
(possibly using new awakened skills and glitching the door)

The players knew exactly what they were doing, especially since this happened right after oren siege.

"They" (as in more-than-one), glitched through the outer gate and snuck inside, destroyed the control towers before the gates were even down (so that we couldn't rez)

Then they even glitched through the other doors and we were finding people inside the throne room and cresting room before the doors were even down, plus we couldn't release to castle because the control towers were down.

Our entire clan has submitted the bug / players to support and are eagerly awaiting a response that wont send us off the edge.

Luckily the clan couldn't even take our castle after using these exploits... but now that we are aware of this bug I would hope that NCsoft looks into this serious issue affecting game-play and sieges.

Does anyone know how they did it? Besides the people on this forum in that clan obviously :P

lol, the "clan" that attacked Aden was Nova, and we were no where near Oren for that entire siege. I was in party with one of the people that ended up through the door, and it actually happened because he got stuck in the door after being hated/pulled in so many directions from your legion of tanks that you have on both ends. Nova didn't take the castle because we only had 1 clan signed, an Alt clan, with a lowbie/squishy caster that you guys kept suiciding to interrupt. We had a 1018 kills to 300 death siege status, so there was no need for us to exploit anything. You're losing that castle at the next siege when our main clan is signed for it (good luck trying to kill a 99 tank casting), and your CL knows it too, that's why you went light this time around so as to delay the inevitable a little bit.
Very nice someone who knows how the game works.:)

Your clan reputation proceeds you sir, making all you say kinda silly for a grown man.

Then again pixels are the real deal...lol.

It's a game, and I can leave it at that, but the cries about exploits from clueless ppl get old after a while. I have no idea what took place at Oren, I just know that there wasn't some grand conspiracy taking place at Aden. Enmity got destroyed and that's about it.

Automation is corruption. =/ Nova could have been legit and earned respect.

Yea it's all automation and nobody aside from Nova uses 3rd pty programs

Or how about the more realistic take: All the big clans, including Enmity/FS/Bregan/ND/RR/Etc... have players that use them, but Nova happens to have the biggest concentration of lvl 99 stacked toons and can steam roll anything in front of them when grouped en masse. Yea, this alternative theory sounds about right ;) Btw, trust me when I tell you no one in Nova is worried about whether you respect them or not.

I was at the siege, I watched him glitch through the gate, there were no tanks on the other side "pulling" through a closed door, that doesn't make any sense... why would we "glitch" to pull you guys INSIDE our castle? Enmity lost absolutely nothing, all your glorious "totally legit" transfers just stood around too while we cancelled the caster multiple times with lowbie dagger alts...

You guys might be higher level but your siege tactics are un-honorable. It's not a "grand conspiracy" it's a-lot simpler than that... your characters cheated to get through the gates and drop our control towers...

Sign with your clan next month, cast with your high level mighty tank caster, make sure you call RR and bregan again as well, we highly enjoyed rolling them.

So this happened to you guys at every siege on accident? I heard you guys got through the gates at other sieges as well...
