So... I've been hearing alot of people say how worthless mentee coins were... And at first I almost believed them, altho it's true that none of the things you can buy with the mentee coins except the very worthless to buy superior giant's codex is tradable, there is a very very good way to make money out of the mentee coins that you have, and this thread might make you understand how you can make alot more than you think with thoses simple coins.
Here is a way of converting each mentee coin in an average of about 5 to 13k adena. EACH COIN.
Simply go to girant's Luxury shop, Buy the unidentified Grade A Majestic Ring, and use Mentee coins to buy Enchant Armor A and overenchant the rings... the crystals that you will get will be worth ALOT more than the price you paid the ring. Look at the calculations below!
Grade A :
Unidentified Majestic Ring :144,855a
Breaking at +3 to +4 returns 62 Crystal (A-Grade)(s) = 387,500a
387,500a - 144,855a = 242,645a Profit
242,645a / 48 Mentee coins = 5,055a Value per Mentee Coin. (4x 12 Mentee Coins For EAA Since it broke going +4)
Breaking at +4 to +5 returns 122 Crystal (A-Grade)(s) = 762,500a
762,500a - 144,855a = 617,645a Profit
617,645a / 60 Mentee coins = 10,294a Value per Mentee Coin. (5x 12 Mentee Coins For EAA Since it broke going +5)
Breaking at +5 to +6 returns 182 Crystal (A-Grade)(s) = 1,137,500a
1,137,500a - 144,855a = 992,645a Profit
992,645a / 72 Mentee coins = 13,787a Value per Mentee Coin. (6x 12 Mentee Coins For EAA Since it broke going +6)
Now Since the Majestic Ring has been what I have found out to be the best profit to turn your Mentee coins to, This is my base test so... I don't know if a mathematician expert could tell me based on the stats and odds of enchanting, what would be the net worth of a mentee coin based on your chances of succeeding +4,+5 and +6 and the increase in the amount of adena you make each enchant success... but if someone could come up with a formula and could tell the approximate value of mentee coins if you decide to turn them into adena this way, I would be glad to see the formula up and hear your thoughs, as for me I'll just throw in what is my estimation based simply on deduction and no mathematical skills involved, I would say that a mentee coin is roughtly worth 9,000a when doing this process.

So this is what I've completed so far... My guess is the value of your mentee coin will be around 9k adena per if you are using this method but since it's incomplete I've been wondering if people could complete my chart and add D, C and B grade items to the list and see if it would be even more beneficial per mentee coin when you do it with lesser grade items. So please if someone wants to run these tests and post them I would really appreciate if not I'll probably do it myself in a couple of days when I get more mentee coins :)
Bottom line is... my mentee coins are GARANTEED to bring me at least 5k adena PER COIN... so that means... 10 coin = 50k, 20 coin = 100k, 200 coin = 1 million, 2,000 coins (Which is the reward you get from a mentee leveling to 86) is worth 10 MILLIONS ADENA (and that's just the VERY BOTTOM LINE OF IT) Meaning you are SURE to get that much and up to 130% MORE than this depending on your luck...
So a simple mentee leveling to 86 under your mentorship could be worth about 16-20 millions for you... So I'm not very sure about you but when I hear people saying mentee coins aren't worth anything I'm pretty sure they haven't read this thread and I'd ask then what they'd do with 20 millions!
I don't know the exact chances to OE jewelry, if it's 2/3 then you have to multiply you profit at +5 by 2/3, and by ( 2/3 ) ² for +6
The price you used for Cry A is the NPC price ? or player's price ?
I personally use my coins to buy EAR, so it's free for me to get my set at +3, or +6 if I feel lucky enough :P
Really nice post mate, needs abit of work, im pretty sure it can be tweeked abit. But that said im not sure this is the right way to go, atleast not always. If u are in dire need of cash then its a good way to turn out a few millions with 0 risk.
But as laby said. R grade scrolls are where the value lies.

12.000.000 adena / 800 coins = 15.000 adena pr mentee coin.
If u are planing on overenchanting your gear. this is where the money is for sure.
Just to make my point, a mentee from 40-86 is worth about 9.5k coins, and if u go buy armor scroll r-grade for all of it. u gonna end up with about 150 EAR with a value of 180 kk on naia. yes they cannot be traded, but hey at some point we all gonna try for that +6 set like laby said.
I know I had not looked into this, but in looking at Time vs. Adena, I would think that running thru certain daily's at the 74 - 80 level and then de-leveling back to the beginning of the level before ding'in over would give a great return on time playing vs adena.
It just seems like unless you have multiple other mentees out there working for you, if you have to level your own mentees to get these coins per time, you are not using your time to it maximum.

The price of the A-Crystals and S-Crystals are the price I've gotten for selling them to the NPC Store. The price for A-Grade Crystal is 6.250 in stores, from players in Auction house I could probably get 7,500a so it's not worth the effort for the little bit of increase but sure if you want to get the very best out of it, do that, of even better, craft shorts with the crystals and sell the shots, that way you'll be making a heafty profit for sure!

I really understand what you are saying but... like you said not tradable, I'm one of thoses people who have alot of mentee and more than 50,000 mentee coins have passed on my account, so it's been long gone that I've made +3/+4 on my R grade sets, I even used mentee coins to do Entirely 60/60/60 elements on all my armor, for 1600 coins per eleemnt, 3 times needed per armor piece, it uses alot, but this post is for what to do AFTER you've done all the basics... since in my opinion, every 7 days, getting 3 mentees that could give in approx i'd say 15 to 25k mentee coins (Since I take good care of my mentees and i'm always online it's easy for me to get that much) So it takes them approx 2 weeks, and 7 days more to get new ones... so every 3 weeks or so I get approx 15-25k Mentee coins and I do this on 3 accounts so :) It's alot for me that's why I posted this results :)

Of course you can do it with your own account that you level up but this post is mainly for thoses who take mentee from the crowd... I've had several mentees that became friends over the past weeks because I help them, I give them tips, I tell them where to level, and I'm nice to them and I even sometimes go on the field and help them level up when I'm bored so that way I generally keep 3 mentees on each of my 3 chars that I keep active online so the mentee's have buffs and can recieve the mentor's harmony from me. If you consider ONLY doing it yourself of course it's time consuming but you don't have to do it yourself to get mentee coins I let others do it. Try it that way you'll see the system has been made for that ^_^
