Find and defeat the GM-controlled Cursed Swords to earn special rewards!
From September 12 to September 26, 2012, GMs will take control of one or both Cursed Swords (if not already controlled by a player) on each server each day. Watch the chat window for special server-wide announcements that indicate if the Cursed Sword is under GM-control. Find them in the world by checking your map. Earn prizes for landing successful hits on the GM Cursed Sword, and extra prizes for landing the killing hit.
Enjoy other server special server settings for this occasion: free teleports from all conventional Gatekeepers, and no XP loss on death.
Also the no xp loss applys only from death in pvp around gm/cursed weapon,or includes any kind of death like from mobs too?
I'm working on gathering some images of the reward items (wigs as well as weapon appearances) now, and I'll post those on the event page today.
The No XP Loss Upon Death setting applies to regular death as well, not just for PvP around the GM Cursed Swords. :)
Those are actually separate test weapons, not the result we'll see when using the appearance stones. The event page has been updated with screenshots of the resulting appearances from using Emerald Weapon Appearance Stones, and also pictures of the available wigs.
Dual sword and polearm look awesome with this, on some of the other weapons though you can barely notice the difference. Btw, waiting for George Lucas to sue for copyright infringement lol.
No players have them. been watching the radar since yesterday and no blood swords have appeared on the server.

We will appear on the servers at random times during the week and weekend. It's not like hide-and-seek because you will know where we are located at all times via the map. We will be completely buffed and geared to the max, so you better bring a good party. You do not receive your rewards until September 26th, but make sure to stay after the event is over for something special! :)
I target gm in aden cemetary and he teleports to giran..was 1 second away of hiting him....
You sure it was a GM and not another player who picked up the sword? You'll see an in-game announcement when we get the sword and when we lose it. Once we are spotted, we stay in that area and do not teleport. There will be plenty of chances to hit us :)

A little heads up. We'll be on the servers during the weekend just in case you guys thought this event was only happening on the week days. Last Hit Winners are sent their winning mail notifications the same day of the event. So if you didn't receive a mail message from me today, then try again next time :p

You can only receive the reward once, but if you can land the last hit then you will get that reward instead. Plus you get free buffs after it's over.
And what if servitors hit you ? Does it count for the summoner or it should be the summoner ? :P
Servitor hits count for the summoner. We already have a last hit winner who is a summoner and another last hit winner was a healer :eek:

No, the healer was in the low 90s. The summoner was level 88 too.

First send me a PM with your choices for wig and emerald appearance. The stones aren't tradable, but if your weapon is standard or blessed then you can sell the weapon with the appearance.

thanks for the buffs on Bartz, I was on subclass and saw the announcement. I was hitting for 0 damage on my lvl 74 warcryer sub - fortunately I had my dagger with me and was able to change to main and get a few licks in before you were overcome by players!

Assuming he has a standard weapon before hand, could this person's new looking weapons be used by another player to turn theirs into the lighsabers if they purchase a weapon appearance stone from NCstore?

Are you asking if you can sell your standard dual daggers with the Emerald Weapon appearance? If the weapon is standard or blessed, then you will be able to sell it or you can restore the original appearance with a restoration stone.
Remember, you will lose the appearance if you add an SA to the weapon, use an Unbind Scroll, or a Blessed Scroll. So you may want to wait until you get double SA on a Standard or Blessed Weapon.

You cannot add an appearance of an item that already has a modified appearance.

obs: this new hair styles should be add in creation and in mammon potions... make a quest for it or receive in events are really omg... I think everybody agree that more options, like hair acessories and stuff turn the gameplay more fun... l2 database have something about 200 hair accessories and we use just those ones of treasure chests coz skills... this is really lame :/

The wigs take up 2 hair accessory slots, so it's not possible to equip them with any other hair accessories.

The fight lasted around 2-3 minutes because there were several heroes there. Heroes can take our CP down to 1 when they hit us. Plus over 100 players showed up in that small time frame to fight as well. I stayed after and buffed for over 30 minutes.

It was pretty fun today on Naia, after getting hit in the face for 230k, I got rezzed and hit Juji for 46 damage...then got hit in the face again for 65k. It's a lot of fun having an event like this whether there is a reward or not. Plus the buffs are more than welcome. I hope theres more interaction like this in the future.

I think NCSoft should implement a patch to divide by 0 the number of summons for Aeore healer, and increasing Lumi stats !

At least with Juji playing the GM part, there will be no more "GMs don't read forums" excuses! :)

All of the Last Hit Winners have been contacted in-game. Players that damaged us during the event will receive 10 Wig Boxes after maintenance tomorrow. Multiple hits on GMs during different visits does not count towards additional rewards.
this event was really fun ,i liked it so much,one of my favourites moments in the event was when the gm did summon the trasken into the monster track xD

No, you cannot copy a weapon with a modified appearance using the weapon appearance stone.
Wow....10 wig boxes....10 fails....I have no luck when it comes to events :(

Adding attribute stones or crystals will not make you lose the appearance neither will augmenting or enchanting. Only changing the item from bound to standard/blessed or adding an SA will make you lose the appearance.

You won't lose it unless you confuse the attribute crystals with soul crystals, but even so you will NOT get another one.
JUJIIIIIIII WE HAVE A PROBLEM, THE LIGHT PART OF THE WEAPON IS BENT/ASKEW for outside.
u can see that looking at the right side of the bow, the "laser/light" pass through the "medal circlet/ball" the red lines on the imagens, shows the right direction that the lights should be, but they are bent to the wrong side ^^

Nope, the appearance will be fine as long as it's an attribute you are changing. If you change an SA with the Soul Crystal Change Stone, then you will lose the appearance.
i have a question can i do on the weapon fire crystals or disapeard the look thane ?
The appearance will NOT be lost if you apply a Fire Crystal to your weapon.
