My favorite Lineage 2 musics are Dion, Hunters Village, Heretics Catacomb, Arcane City.
But the Lineage 2 is the game where every music is a masterpieces now I wrote only 4 musics here, but I could write to here all of them if i want to be honest.
Every places and every musics has 1-1 moment what is in my memory.
All L2 Soundtrack is excellent (except for the FI music maybe:))
But my favorite music is probably the ToI music (S_Tower.ogg / curently Tauti mainscreen music)
The thing that the devs invited the Bill brown and Inon Zur was the best they did.
The best music in this game, ever, period. Reminds me of the days when nobody could afford to ride the boat to gludin, so you got a party together with a healer and ran across the bottom of the ocean to get there and save adena.
TI, Dion, HV, Giran...all great. But nothing beats that old school log in screen.

Ah, the memories of when the game was new, fun and if you had anything "D" Grade you were the richest player in the server. Heck, this was even befor soulshots and spiritshots were introduced into the game. :D
I voted "other" ....... had my music turned off since day 1. Nowadays, I listen to Pandora on PC2 (iss pc), and have the sound effects on mid-low on PC1.

I have the same box, unopened with the original timecard still sealed inside. I would be in work and thinking I could not wait to get home to start playing with my friends.

Just reading your posts I changed my mind, it's so true the whole L2 soundtrack since the old chronicles is totally amazing, I like every single one of those you wrote here even those I could never play (I started only in ch4), it's probably impossible to choose just 1 of the many good themes of the game. Now I remembered about Floran Village bg. music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQOGVgDwNF4) and the Floran Lake where I used to fish many years ago while waiting for some PK to appear :rolleyes: wasting time like that was fun, especially with a so nice bg. music!
It is really hard to choose, close to impossible for me.
But i would say Dion, Hunters Village (think the music in EV was the only reason why i could stand the endless Spellbook farm there back long ago), Giran (oh my god... the Giran Music reminds me about endless hours crafting stuff, doing buy/sale stuff... a lot of moments of pleasure.. and anger ^^)
Also HUGE+1 to the old combar theme.
(Back the days i downloaded all movies, walkthroughs just for the music :eek:)
The best Music of L2 is "The Call of Destiny".
I'm musician, pianoman. Play since 12 years old (now 25), and I'm a big fan of l2 music =P
Each place on game have one nice song choice.
Giran theme is about market, if u log off there, when u back to game and u listen that song, u already think: "oh ok, another day to farm and to see what is happening"(too bad now aden is the center of the world, I knew this was for happen someday, but shilien attack destroy giran wasn't on my mind xD)
Heine's theme is proposital romantic, "the lovers reunited". Is like a perfect town for online couples :P
And ofc I have to say about hunters village. So perfect.
So, on my view, top l2 songs:
1 - Call of Destiny (c1 login theme, perfect just, nothing else to add).
2 - Hunter's Village theme
3 - Heine
4 - Giran
5 - Dion
Light Elf Village (reused in Hunter's Village even though that has nothing to do with light elves and the architecture is incredibly ugly). That music is just magical and was part of what got me addicted to L2 8 (9? 10?) years ago.
