This special NCoin promo runs from 9 a.m. PDT on September 26 to 9:00 a.m. PDT on October 2, 2012.
For every purchase of 4,000 NCoin ($50 value), receive one Scroll: Enchant Weapon of Destruction (R-Grade).
When will I get my reward item(s)?
The rewards will be delivered with the maintenance of October 3, 2012 to the warehouse of the highest level character on the account.
Important
NCoin purchase history and current NCoin balance before September 26, 2012 do not count towards this promotion. Only NCoin purchased within the promo time frame applies.
There is no limit to the number of reward items a player can acquire this way. Example: If a player makes two purchases of 4,000 NCoin during the promo time frame, they will receive two Scroll: Enchant Weapon of Destruction (R-Grade) items.
The promo tracks purchase of NCoin only, not the use of it. Spending the NCoin on items will not affect your eligibility for the reward item.

This is BS again Free to play pay to win. Every mom's basement boy will have +15 r99 weapons because there parents pay their bills. How is this bringing balance to the game. If your going to do this make a limit of 1 per account and they can't be traded.

Yes, there is a limit but it can vary person-to-person as some folks can appeal for extensions by asking the support team. If you encounter a limit or block, contact them to see if it can be removed.

The page explains that for every purchase of 4,000 NCoin you get 1 scroll as a reward, so if you spend 8k, yes, you will get 2 scrolls.

I do not believe game time codes applied towards that promo in May 2012. I'll check on this.

Im 100% sure it did back on May cause I used timecards then and I got prize support accordingly. I just want verification if they do now as well before I buy anything for now.
And if I recall correctly there was verification that it worked before or during , at the forums.
This sounds really good.
The reasons:
1. You may buy now 4k NCoins, but of course you wont need to use it up under a week, you can use it up time by time.
2. DEWR is quite expensive mostly the legit players not really can let themselves this kind of stuffs.
3. With this step, the players same time pay for the NCsoft what helps to provide and upgrade the services of the NCwest, while they can get extra adena, those who may never or few times buy NCoins, but are ebayers, now might be buy NCoins (pay for official service) and get the money from them also, this will results a powerful strike against the adena sellers, because their adena will be useless, too expensive and after all a ban able offensive if a person buy adena from these farmers.
4. So yes this is the way how the NCsoft will be able to stop the illegal ebay in the most easier way while they can make huge amount of money.
I have only one thing what I think isn't fine still, the price of NCoins are still I guess too high.
Yes, I know the prices made by the United States salaries, but the bigger number of players from Europe and South America where the amount of the incoming money is about 20-30% of the salaries of the United States.
So from area of Europe and South America, mostly those able to let themselves to buy these huge amount of NCoins packages, who hasn't kids, family, bigger loan or health problem, or those who are control the Lineage 2 as main hobby and their extra money mostly spend to Lineage 2 (I'm in this category).
Sace, I do really request you and the whole NCwest team, to lets think about the decrease of the NCoins prices to half as it is now, you won't loose nothing, because the rich players will buy more coins, while those who have lesser money, but would like to buy NCoins also they can do it and can enjoy the game much more.

I would be happy to know your opinion on this one. Why won't it affect the balance of the server ?
I'd imagine he/she is thinking that there won't be enough people spending the required amount to create the amount of weapons it would take to have a profound effect on the balance of a server.
Not that I'm agreeing he's right, just trying to maybe give some insight into his point. I think it's valid but there's also a very valid counter argument in that L2 has historically been full of players willing to spend quite large amounts of RL money to get ahead.
I think the limit is from your own card, you had to set one on your NCSoft account if I'm right

Not really if that was the answer Sace would have quoted that , theres a reason she said she ll look in to it . That one you quoted was referring to the gamestop nc coin cards , not the gametime cards that did work normally with the last similar promo to occur.
I am not really against that, but i don't think that it will be as good for NCWest as they hope.
Players will buy Coins now. Result: NCoin sales will drastically go down after the promo ends.
Just one suggestion: Change them to none-tradable. Else the Economic will get hurt too much.
Or atleast limit it to 2-3 Scrolls per Account.
(The only positive sidenote is, that via the tradeable DEWR's the farmer bots will get a lil backstab and have atleast for a short time lower sales)
PS: To all that say high OE Weapons are too imba, i recommend you to check Juji's Test about skill dmg increase with increased patk.

I don't know about cards with expiration dates. O.o Please send a ticket to the support team (https://lineage2.custhelp.com/app/ask/) and have them check the code.
To get a +15 if you are lucky you'll need : 12 scroll (600$ without taxes) but to be safe you can count for 24 scrolls if you don't have any enchant weapon luck item ~1200$ without taxes.
Last time, NC Soft sold these scrolls for 4K too but it worked with game time card, it's a huge difference cause in the past a game time card was sold really cheap on internet and with this way, you are not limited to 100/400$ per month (ncsoft restriction), coin from website got too much restriction and are too expensive.

You shouldn't let something like this scare you away, not like it will make a difference to a casual/inactive player such as yourself. These types of promos are delivered to 100% of the player base with the hopes of 83% participation. However, 47% can't afford any participation, 29% can budget a onetime involvement, 17% will make a couple purchases and 7% will repeatedly acquire enough the bonus through all means necessary.
Keeping this in mind only 24% of the player base will have multiple Scrolls of destruction. Of those “pay to win” players, their individual success rate with the scrolls will not produce hundreds of +16 weapons. Historical statistics dictate this promotion will only harvest a few over powered weapons for a small portion of the population.
This Destruction Scroll promotion will have an insignificant impact on the daily events of a majority of the players. Play the game... have fun and don’t worry yourself over what the upper percentile are doing with their real money transactions.
Lineage 2 is still cool with a +3 bound weapon... unless you want to PK and we all know killing helpless players is a bad thing and frowned upon by NCSoft.

Hi guys, Could someone explain to me how DEWR works? I mean, I have a +4 dual apoc, so if the scroll land then the weapon goes to +5 or +6, if the scroll fail then the weapon goes to 0 or get break?

Heey Sace do you know or could you check for me whether they will be transferred to another server... I dont mean if i have them on me then transfer, but if I buy lets say 8k coins now, and i use 4k coins to transfer a character from server X to server Y , so my xfer date will be the same date that these are put in the Warehouse.

The scrolls are transferred to your highest level character. So you should get them on your new server if that character is the highest level. If that does not happen, you can submit a support ticket.

If a website is selling game time cards (they come in 15-days and 30-days amounts, usually) then yes, because game times work for this promo.

Reason for that is there is not enough buyers or Americans at bartz to buy them + Bartz does not have a very stable market.

I too did not receive my bonus items today. Was there an issue with this maintenance where these items did not get delivered????
We've successfully delivered tons of reward items to players already, and we're only seeing a small number of reports of players that didn't receive them or didn't receive all of them.
Remember, if you have a NC Account and obtained the NCoin value through game time codes, your items are not a part of the automated delivery (see maintenance notice for further details (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=246419)). If you aren't part of that group but haven't received your reward items, please send a support ticket (https://lineage2.custhelp.com/app/ask/).
For anyone else, there had to be a total of two rounds of maintenance (at least) for them to deliver these items into your warehouse. I received mine after the 2nd round.

The reward items went to the highest level character per account and per server as it turns out. This was not intended but there was a mixup when the rewards were distributed. The awarded items will not be taken from the winners, but we are looking into this matter to ensure unexpected things don't happen in future promos.

Okay, I bought but I did not get on each server, i only got on 1. and on another account which i also bought on I got on 2 servers only
So now that most players got on 5 servers. Can i put through a ticket and get same treatment? As if one customer get something extra, everyone else that has paid same amount of money, shoud get the same.
