Hey NC...i want to thank you for the ncCoin promo....those EWRD will come in handy and i like the way no matter how ya buy coin during the promo...all purchases count towards the 4000 coin total....As aggrevated as ive been last few months...i have to say this is a step in the right direction as the market for these items is way out of hand and wallet of most ppl. I am sure i am not the only one that will take off their hat to ya for a promo worth a darn....Thx Again :)
This is the worst thing they could do.
1. For the first time you can sell in game what you bought for real currency. Until now donations were mostly based on the looks and funny stuff.
2. Thanks to this stuff bot party owners could make r99 stuff +16 which they would never do w/o those stupid destruction enchants.
In conclusion the game continues to be spoiled and supports scammers even more instead of getting rid of them. If ncsoft decided to make promo like this, those enchants should at least be NON-TRADABLE like the rest items buyable for ncCoins.

This is not the first time they sold the destruction scrolls and nothing ended last time. This will certainly not be the last time NCSoft sells destruction scrolls or something to increase the power of the rich, such is life.
I guess the next step is to sell 100kk adena premium packs 400 coins each, to stop adena selling sites doing that. And out of a sudden noob players will have better eq that those who worked hard to get it..

Eve Online does it for years (in a way), and that's a good thing - better if money goes to the game company, than to RMT company.
Difference is, that in Eve, those with surplus of ingame currency get game time, in L2 they get highly OEd items... but you know, in L2 game time is for free, so this is kinda obvious - that's how the system works.
Guild Wars 2 has a similiar system where you buy gems for items in their limited items store. You can use the gems you buy and convert the gems (there is an exchange ratio) into in game currancy, or purchase cosmetic or XP booster packs as well as certain services like server transfers or more bank slots.
Because of this you do not often, although it still sometimes happens, see gold spamming. One other nice thing about GW2 is that they are quick to ban reported gold spammers, they lower the ban hammer hard there.

I completely agree with this. As much as I hate to see things become so easy to accomplish,but a lot of games are doing this. Most new players these days won't stick with a game that takes you months to years to get anywhere. Hence the cash shops games are now implementing over monthly play fees. They figure one flat price for the game then let you in all you want and you'll spend more money a month on the cash shop. I know I have spent more a month in the L2 shop than it was per month to play.
Given we have a major bot problem this would really hit them where it hurt. Seeing banning won't stop them, this would certainly hamper their efforts

They make a lot of fuss about repairing the economy, so that everything would be fair, while flooding the market with dewrs.
If you ask me, the whole idea of dewr is bad, nobody had it before GoD and somehow it was fine. Dewrs only increase the distance there is between players on the same level but unfortunately the only ones who can afford them are botters.

We know it's not GW2,EO or Aion,but what some of us are saying is that in order to beat the adena sellers at their game NC might want to consider offering adena packages in the L2 store. Instead of trying to discourage players from buying why not just offer it period? Don't give the players any reason to want to buy from adena sites, NC would rake in the profits and the RMT traders would have no reason to spam chats or occupy xp spots.
