Yeah .. and it needs to be, cos at the moment there only 2 bot groups - one is low lvl bots doing quest and farming adena from drop, which ordinary players usually pass after lvl 75. and the other is 97+ already farming for whatever is in game, but mostly exp. So and ordinary player would be very little affected by these 2 groups, therefore it's pointless to make yourself excuses for not lvl-ing fast enough, or if you don't know how to make money. They're not stopping you from lvl-ing or earning adena, like they used to do it before GoD. They just eat NCsoft's profit. And even if there isn't a single bot in the game the same ppl will QQ again, cos there will be others, spending money for NC coins and buying stuff, which according to the QQers isn't fair.
They do affect my gameplay, they're the reason of riddicoulous prices of top equipment, which only a botter could afford (or epics, 50kkk, really?) And of course not mentioning pvp.
Can any1 tell me if the servers have still tons of bots or not i was thinking about coming back to server :)
Bots or real people...who cares. Someone or something will always tick us off...just play if you want to play.
It depends on what you find satisfying about the game.
Bots can hit it, or not. Example: i like to Raid and craft, neither of those are directly affected by bots. Perhaps 97+? But I'm not even close. And raids are usually camerae'd, but the bot itself can't do much.
dude ignore the ones saying dont, this game has a great hold on a lot of us (especially the vets) and if you have the urge to come back then do so. Hell i just made it to Magmeld for the first time and it felt like the first time i set foot in enchanted valley. needless to say i got a whole new boost of motivation just from seeing something new and man im I glad its my week off lol.
Trying out this game won't cost you a single penny, why don't you just install it and see everything with your own eyes?

You know what I'm tired of ppl using bots as an excuse to hate a game.
It's getting seriously old!! There is not a single mmo out there that doesn't have automate game play!
Most bots are unintrusive...and for the most part you wont be effected by them unless they are farming a zone you want to play in for 2 hours.
The only problem with bots are the real players using it to get ahead of the rest of the crowd by grinding unending...at this point most are 99 now. while those that didn't do that are maybe 97.
The other thing that bothers me is ppl QQing about runes, and VP refills. L2 is a free to play game, which means NCsoft needs to sell a product that appeals to the player base. That will generate income to pay for employ saleries, and keep the servers up and running. As a free tro play you can freely deside if that doesn't agree with your sentiment for game play then /uninstall, and move on. I'm so tired of reading asinine comments from ppl that say "I refuse to ever 'donate' because it's agents my idea of what I think this game is about." Well too bad if u don't like ppl spending their RL money on this game. As there's little difference in spending $15 a month to play, or spending $15 a month to lvl a little faster.

Actually there is...you can't bot on console MMOs. You cannot run scripts from a online console to the company's network freely...you're banned right away and your game console is jailed and non-functional forever.
As for the OP, if you're asking if you should return, i make Aconyte's words my own, asking won't tell you anything- i can say it's faqin awesome and you quit in 2 days.

FF11, WoW, Aion, Age of conan, Warhammer, etc etc they all have bots in them...

Assuming that it's 50b for an earth wyrm/blessed valakas/blessed anthy, that's not a ridiculous price seeing as the only ones out there are either from events or glitching trasken in the past. Those raids aren't exactly farmable atm.
I'd say R99 armor and weapons aren't inflated at all, bought my standard eternal set for a little under 800m. In fact prices are pretty low considering the grade because not many people can use it, very little demand for any of it.
