Ancient DEWR +10%

Is it me or is the success rate really messed up. A regular scroll is supposed to have 1/3 chance of fail. So 66% success +10%=76% then add a 20% success stone = 96% . How can i spend $100 and fail both with 96% chance.
Because you don't have always 66% chance to OE. The rate to success depend of the type of the item (armor / jewel / mage weapon / archer weapon) and the enchantment level

You failed just 2 and you're already crying? ^^
66%+10%(6,6%) = 72,6%
66%+20%(13,2%)=79,2%
66%+6,6+13,2 = 85,8%
66%+10%(6,6%) = 72,6%
66%+20%(13,2%)=79,2%
66%+6,6+13,2 = 85,8%
that formula makes sense I guess it depends on how you look at it. Thanks for giving an answer to the question instead of posting qq comments.

Like Laby said, it depends on what item you tried to enchant (mage weapon or not, armor or not), and what plus that item already was at.

I do not have any information for post-GoD update OE rates, but the rates before GoD were tested by Korean L2 labs (something like what Juji does here, they collect player questions and test stuff on their PTS). For non-mage weapon, the base OE chance is 66%, while mage weapons have a 40% chance. And at +15, that chance gets reduced to 33% / 20%. And for armor, the OE chances get horribly low REALLY fast after +4. Those tests are still available on the official Korean L2 powerwiki site.

So, depending on what you tried to enchant, if the chances are still the same as before GoD, you may very likely NOT have had a 96% chance.
it's actually: 0.66 (or w/e your base) * 1.2 (20%) * 1.1 (10%) = 87.12%

and to be a tease and show how much it's all korean random; my +15 (sword) weapon went +16 on the first try but having said that I have a clannie whose mage weapon refused to go +16 even after 19 tries so go figure ;)
more food for thought: the lucky stone description says they only work for regular enchant scrolls.

I understand what the stats actually are... This is fine when you have a item that does not involve actual real money. But when you buy someting that states a set amount you expect a set amount. If i go to get my roof repaired on my house and I pay money to get 87% of the damage fixed and they fix 50% there is an issue. I do not see anywhere that states from NC that enchant rates change due to what type of weapon and what enchant level. All they state is 1/3 chance of failure past +3 that is it. ( if somewhere it says different i haven't seen it )
I know my 2 could have been a fluke thing and I cannot base anything on 2 tries.
Im just saying its not what it is advertised as being and NC is opening themselves up for problems when you sell things that are not what you say they are.
I also got 2 scrolls from the destiny bundle.
I also failed both going +4 to +5.

Although statistically insignificant, I suspect that the rate of success is not correct.

It of course could just be bad luck, but it would make sense if they lowered the rate so that people would buy more bundles to up their weapons. Not gonna bite anymore.
weapon enchant success rate is not 66% its 50% you can see it yourself from juji lab tests.
and the 10% increase is 10% static so you you simply have 60% success rate with ancient scroll.
Now adding lucky stone is static increase as-well so you have exactly: 60%+20%= 80%
you can check the tests here:

Im done I got all I need , Lesson learned ( no more N coin ) plane and simple false advertising.
As far as Juji's lab results , when I log in the little message says 1/3 chance of failure when I log in.
PIXEL POWER oh wait... MONEY POWER

Don't want to start a discussion about the true OE chances under various circumstances - those could have changed with GoD or maybe not - but that sample size in Juji's test is too small to say anything about the actual OE chances, it's just a test to see whether the lucky stones do anything or not. He even says so himself in that thread. A sample size of 50 OE attempts is not good enough to say anything about the real chance with more than maybe a +/- 15% error or so. You would need more than 300-400 attempts to get close to the real chance.
The Lucky Enchant Stones increase the enchant success rate from the base. The Ancient Scroll already has 10% on it and is equivalent to having a Destruction Scroll with a regular Lucky Enchant Stone applied with every enchant. You can also add Lucky Enchant Stones using an Ancient Scroll from +3 to +9.
Hi Juji,
U referring to the Lucky Enchant weapon stone in L2store (+20%)?
Which can be bought with Ncoin 320?

This stone can be use with the Ancient Scroll for enchantment?
I thought can only use with normal scroll?

Yes, those Lucky Enchant Stones (both regular and high-grade) can be used with the Ancient Scroll from +3 to +9.
I assume Blessed Enchant weapon scroll and Destruction Enchant weapon scroll can also be use?

No, they do not work with Lucky Enchant Stones.
