(Fact/Tested/Confirmed) - A clan may declare up to 30 clan wars at one time, with NO limit on incoming wars, but once you have 30 wars you can't declare another even if you didn't start all 30 yourself, but you can still be declared on! (LF confirm that 30 is the max, and that you can still recieve incoming wars after 30 are on / declared?)
(Assumed/LF. Confirm) - Only a Clan Member level 76, and higher counts as a point when killed by war in a two way mutual war, and as a point towards a one way war in declaration. (Note a character becomes a war tag after level 70, but does NOT count as a point toward anything to do with war statuses until that character is level 76.)
(Fact/Tested/Confirmed) - The clan who ends clan war will lose 5000 clan reputation. Doesn't matter what side side surrenders I am told the Rep. just disappears. The war goes back to declaration only, not removed, no matter what side surrenders. Confirmed that niether side recieves the surrendering sides 5k. Rep. It just disappears. :(
(Fact/Tested/Confirmed) - A clan war starts after declaration when 5 of the opposing clan who declared are killed, either PK or mutual PvP. If this does not happen the declared war disappears / is removed with NO penalties on either side. (A clan war also starts if you accept it obviously.) (Either clan may re-declare on the same clan right away.)
(Assumed/LF. Confirm) - A clan war will also end if there is no combat with the opposing clan for 7 days, and go back to declaration. (LF confirm.)
(Fact/Tested/Confirmed) - The only way to avoid war completely is NOT kill 5 of the declaring clan in the declaration period.
(Fact/Tested/Confirmed) - ONLY a clan lvl. 5, and higher, with 15 members, or more, may participate in clan wars.
(Fact/Tested/Confirmed) - A clan who surrenders a clan war may NOT declare a clan war for 7 days.
(Fact/Tested/Confirmed) *** NOTE: The Clan with a negative score will reset to 0 (even score) every time the server goes down for any reason, and the clan with a positive score keeps there score. So if you kill 10 when server comes back up, it say's your both winning. So I don't think it is suppose to reset when server goes down. NO one is sure if this is how it is suppose to be, but it's a fact that this happens.

OK, what did I miss, and what's wrong. Let me know, and I will edit, or add it NP. Then we will have our own trial, and error list we made, and know the facts. I am tired of waiting.
Also forget the old system ever existed, causing confusion, and comparing it to this one. Let's just roll with, discuss what we got now, and get the facts on what we are playing currently.

(Off topic. I went on the web tonight looking for some simple information about Clan Wars & Castle defenses. 3 hrs. later no information found up to date, no forum topic on it that I could find. No topic on the official website. NO topic on the whole internet it seems. What really do you have to do to get a proper, english, detailed game manual for L2??? I stand a better chance of picking up the original slab of stone the 10 commandments were written on while walking down the road. I even went to websites not English, and use translator LOL.)
You could change thread title to something better, for example: Glory Days - Clan Wars -Known Facts. For every fact there should be Tested and Not Tested. Just my 2 cents.

OK done!
P.S. Yes! Castle sieges! My favorite event in Lineage! (I miss TW. :()
EDIT: Can't edit the title after topic is created, sorry,.... can't delete, and don't wanna double post.
Is there a way to mutually end the war? Or to mutually end the declared upon status?
If your at war already one clan will have to surrender, then it will go back to declared. Then make sure one clan doesn't kill 5 of the other in PK or PVP until the declared timer runs out, and it will disappear. (I am assuming that no matter what side ends war the clan who originally started it is still the decalring clan after a war ends, and it goes back to declared. OR does the clan who didn't surrender become the declaring clan??? NOT %100 sure on this, but if you both want it off, then just end it, and don't kill each other, simple.)
If not at war, same thing just don't kill 5 of them in PK or PVP and it will disappear after the declaration period times out, but they can redeclare it again immediatly, and always have you threatened.
i would like to know, this applies to academy members too?
I know points are counted since the academy member level is 70+, so if a member from a clan war declared and not accepted, is killed (PK) from the clan that not accept the war, is this count as points (5) to auto accept the war? i mean, academy members that are not 70+

Incorrect.
Academy member becomes a war tag at 70 lvl., but does not count for points until 76 lvl., which he will then do 3rd. class change, and graduate academy anyway. So we can only assume right now that ONLY a 76 lvl., or higher character counts towards the 5 kills needed for two way war to start also. This is why I recruit 65-75 for academy, and 86+ to rejoin, so the wars, and rep. does not get destroyed by having 76-84 lvl. players in the Main Clan. Alternate XP Clans FTW.
Maybe if someone else can post, and confirm this, or I will get back to it with a reply when I have time to test myself.
EDIT: Added to War Rules list, thank you for the question.
Well... thanks for the reply but i dont know if u get my point, lets assume this:
Clan A declares war to Clan B
Both academy members level 65 in Clan A - B goes to a RANDOM pvp.
Those clan members a/b know the war status, so the member in Clan B kill the member from Clan A, this point counts? assuming they dont have the 76+ level that really counts for all in wars. The war will be activated in Clan B after killing 5 times the member in Clan A?
The hostility (in patch notes) dont specifies if you must kill in pvp or just assasination (PK), so i tested and the PvP count directly, i guess PK obviously too, so thats why my question about academy members.
I havn't tested it, but I doubt it. Considering that even when two lowbies 70-76 PvP each other war Vs. war you still don't see red, or blue messages, or points, so I assume it doesn't count towards a declaration either.
I will war my alt. Clan later when I have a few minutes, and try it all out. :)
Do characters under 70 lvl. in 2 war Clans see each other as war tags lol? Is it war on another level that I don't know about???
War starts when you PK, or PvP kill the declaring clan members 5x.
You can avoid war by NOT doing that, and after 7 days the declaration disappears, but they can re-declare right away anyway, and keep you threatened constantly,..... great for keeping multiple random clans off your Siege ground FYI,... is also great for Clans who own Dark Castles who constantly get attacked by all server,.... just declare on Clans who do, and they will stop attacking you, or war on, and stay off your Siege ground, or war on.
Once a war has started, you can surrender by spending 5000 clan rep., or it ends if NO combat with the opposing clan for 7 days (LF confirm.),.... if both clans are even semi-active good luck with that, and keeping track of it lol. If you surrender you may NOT declare a war for 7 days, you lose 5k. rep., and the war only goes back to the 5 kill declared status. :)
Clan A declared on Clan B.
Clan B killed nobody in Clan A for 7 days.
War ended, no loss of CRP.
Hope this helps.
just one question about his..
if clanA declare war to clanB, and pk clanB member. then clanB member kill that pk from clanA. that counts for 5 kills (or how much needed to start war?) ?
and to be sure 100%. if clanB do nothing - war not starts? i mean they avoid pvp against clanA members.
What about Clan A killing Clan B?
(i.e. is the requirement that nobody at all gets killed, or only Clan B not killing Clan A?)
If Clan A declares on Clan B and Clan A kills people in Clan B, nothing happens except:
1) Clan B loses 1 CRP per kill
2) Clan A member who does the killing goes red unless:
a) Clan B member flags back
b) They are in combat zone for fort or castle siege

Yes, if Clan B member attacks back and kills anyone in Clan A, it counts toward the 5 required to activate the war. If Clan B avoids 5 PVPs with Clan A for 7 days, war does not activate.

No, what I meant was more like this:
up there, he wrote as confirmed:
I can confirm 2x now:
Clan A declared on Clan B.
Clan B killed nobody in Clan A for 7 days.
War ended, no loss of CRP.and I wanted to know:
what happens if during this "B does not kill A for one whole week" A still keeps killing B - does the war also automatically end, or is the requirement for the war ending that NOBODY (neither clan A nor clan B) kills anybody?
From what I understand it is not even about being killed,.....
NO "combat" with the enemy clan at all for 7 days is what I am assuming it is, as that is how it has been TRANSLATED so we can only assume. Combat just means in fighting stance, or flagged.
Then it will go back to declared for 7 days, then be removed if you don't kill 5 of them again..
I highly doubt this will ever happen, or be confirmed, ever.
EDIT: I appologize,.... I had changed the wrong one last time from assumed to fact. It is still assumed,... I have no confirm for this war rule yet sorry. :(
Nop, you can war even with 1-man-clan...
Im guessing that u didnt get my point?
Let me explain and asks again:
2 clans at war ,in 1 of these clans number of members drop below 15 ( which is REQUIREMENT to have war ) what happens then with clan war?
If war continues, what for is this requirement of 15pple then?nonsense imo..
I guess none knows,so I think Ill have to tests it by myslef by creating 2x 5lvls clans..
Cheers.
That's NOT true. I war all Clans that sign for our Castle, and before last Siege 2/15 could NOT be warred. They were lvl. 5 Clans, under 15 members. One had 2 members.
If it drops below 15 after the war is declared it will not delete / disappear / or stop the war auto either. (That would turn into an Epic exploit fast wouldn't it now.)
I still waiting to see when my wars are going to finish, this because the war status panel don't display any kind of information about the period of time that has passed since this war started, i have actually one with some points and i never killed again those members cause they leave the clan and there are no more to kill, so 25-30 days has passed or more and nothing happens, i thought there was a kind of automatic cease of fire. The others still there most of them with 10+ days.
So, someone could tell me about the duration of wars?
Well i guess there is nothing about 7 days (in the active war) after no one hit /pvp/pk between of involved clans, at least my clan still with few wars with some activity and one with an empty clan (so we can say 15 ppl mandatory is not necessary even if they leave the clan for declare a war win or lose, in this case win, that war still there), i have to mention that the "7 days" its about the declaration (and not accepted, cause the war declaration dissapear after that period of time)
Maybe so,... maybe the only way a war actually ends once started is summon must surrender 5k. clan rep., then you must avoid pvp/pk 5 of the opposing clan for 7 days, and then they just redeclare anyway. Your the one who gets a 7 day war declaration penalty if you surrender.
ok. there is situation.
one clan declared war for my clan during fort siege. after some posts here i decided to stop pvp there and now i want to avoid that war (reasons? that clan have many 95+ people, my clan only 4 people 90+). so explain me as for noob how to avoid clanwar start.
no pvp/pk and even not defend fort?
now situation looks like this: http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/1403/35712968.jpg

u cant pvp them anywhere .. fort, siege, normal pvp, watch out for aoe if they flag, .. basicly if u dotn waan have war with them u need to avoid any pvp with them

No, the right answer is, avoid any death from your clan to the clan who declares, your clan can pvp, can flag, can die even, but never have to kill any member from the clan or clans taht declare on yours. [PvP/PK] After those 7 days, the declaration will dissapear from the list, in that period your clan can or not, kill 5 members from that clan.
Once a Clan declares you simply can NOT kill them any way 5x, in 7 days, or war ON.
Remember they can just re-declare the second the declaration wears off, and keep you constantly in this position,... even right after you surrender if the war was ON already, BUT,.......
(FYI for Fort just keep porting from bottom NPC to top with your small zerg, and cancel the caster over, and over. Run from spawn to door to go inside the Fort, use the NPC just outside that door to teleport to the top. They can't stop your from teleporting as long as you have one healer for Pt. celest to go to the NPC every time, just rotate the CD because it takes well over 2 minutes to cast anyway. : Fort spawn, re-group, Pt. celest, to NPC, port to top, zerg the caster, cancel, die probably, and back to spawn, wait 90 secs, or w/e is left on the healers Pt. celest CD & repeat. : Who cares if you die 1000x, the war will not start, and you will not lose XP,... your welcome! I only help with that info. because I can't imagine how a Clan like yours feels with only a couple 90+ with these war rules, and getting declared on, and Fort attacked by Clans with many 95+,... Gl.)
well there is other way. :)
soe/bsoe to fort right when fort siege starts and kill mercenary captain :D
sometimes peoples rush from different side where that captain spawns. so it take ~35sec to kill it duo (archer + iss) with battle rhapsody
anw. war declaration should be changed to: minimum clan lvl5 with 30 or more members. not 15... but this is only my opinion
yes. they can. but if you play smart you can lure captain to balcon where you spawn after port to fort. then need just 30 sec to kill him :) anw if party is good and you not ready it's really hard to defend fort.
ok. time to bump this thread.
i cant find an answer. if we have clan war, 2 way war (for crp transfer). when it stops? or now it's like before GoD. one side must surrender and lost 5k crp?
is the war actually 2 way or still declared.
if so then send ticket or make one clan lvl 11 and war your lowbie clan works for DW they cant seem to war clans the same clan level either LOL
This war system kinda sucks and kinda good. Sucks, coz many BIG clans like to attack smaller, who even don't want to war or be aggressive, so BIG clans can easily get war with any1. Game gets dirty when those BIG clans puts their toons into small clan, and simply makes war happening...then those smaller clans simply loose their ppl, points. This is a way how it is and many clans like to do that in Naia, no more glory and respect in this game left.
In another hand, if u play fair game and enjoy it (that's why it's a game!) u can just declare war on some bullies, who like to kill flagged players, but don't like to be killed.
Well, I believe it all depends from clan fair play and respect. I learned that Lunae clan is that kind a clan who loves to attack smaller in a dirty way...sadly, mostly when they see 99 lvl character coming to defend, they run...but it's a game, and I believe that system should be somehow improved.
On Clan A character, I used the button "Declare War" and wrote down the name of clan B.
On Clan B I did exactly the same.
I have the two way war icon at the top of each player.
Clan A has more than 0 CRP, Clan B has 0 CRP
I am sure I am missing something really simple
Try killing one more than 5x. There is a bug when a Clan declares, and the other clan declares back / accept right away, one side still has to die 5x before it starts picking up the points. FYI to try anyway.

That was actually the bug I think
To remind it, ClanA launched the war on ClanB first.
Clan B launched the war back on clan A.
Clan B pk'ed a member of clan A (iss and feoh were in party, the iss killed the feoh). The iss got -720 reputation (and a red name) while I got the message "4 kills more and the war start" like there is only a one way war.
I now need to clean karma because one guy from clan B killed one guy from clan A (with the 2 way war crest) ><
Strange question may be Juji, but is it working as intended ? The support only told me they are not able to help me because the clan war system not being intended to transfer CRP between clans first so that's a dead issue there also :/
Edit : ClanB Iss killed Clan A feoh 6 times before (out of party), just turned purple but it didn't launch the war.
If you killed one member war in your party you will get pk point, but if you dont have party with it, you will get 1 point CRP.
you understood...
I am not surprised about the PK (well at start I was surprised, but then I remembered I was in party). I am surprised about the message telling me to kill people to still launch a 2 way war (when there is one obviously)
And killing out of party doesn't give 1 CRP either :D

ok, rules
1.- he doesnt have party with you.
2.- he must be lvl 85+ or he must be in clan main (main /royal /knight).
3.- your clan must have positive points ( i dont remember it)
4.- him clan must have points. :D

It may help me yes, I will do some tries about it later :)
We're testing now to see if the war bugs are fixed in the Lindvior.
Thank you. Even if the killing is not supposed to give CRP for any reason (like listed above) it's still strange to see the system message ><
If anyone is curious about my issue, I got some help on the support website and ingame from GMTangent. The system is not behaving as expected, and they are asking their Wisdom Cube (Pommo o/) about more ideas on how to fix that right now.
Hopefully Lindvior will correct most of those bugs :)
