Kartia 85 solo feoh

How do you do it ? my tank never noramlly agro zeliaka , he just runs arround and hit me 5k a hit ... i can't nuke him , and eventually i just die , because my healer npc is bugged and i dont have any self heal .. One time i managed to complete it but it was just luck ...
Death breath, nuke, teleport, nuke, teleport, eath breath over and over. Your healer NPC isn't bugged, you need to be rather close to him to get the 50% hp recovery.
i dont have any self heal ..

Ever heard about hp potions? ;)

In fact you don't even have to nuke the boss; your npc team will get him down eventually, just very slow.

There are only 2 ways to die in Kartia: if you get stuck in the middle of mobs that suddenly spawn around you, or if you get feared into the wall and chased down by Zellaka while the healer is not around.
You never die if you play carefully. Also remember that when your hp is critically low, the healer will plant a tree instead of giving you a panic heal (that is, you die if you don't use a heal pot right in time).

But I agree in general that doing Kartia on a nuker is harder than on any other class, unless you have really good gear.
I will say what I told to a friend ingame that was affraid to do zellaka, 'cause she never was able to complete the instance: if you are low (aka below 87), dont hesitate to use your.... HORSE! yes, as @Aconyte said, npc will do the work to you anyway, then you can always be running in circles, staying far from dmg... then w8 till boss hp is near 10-5%, dismount and start nuking, to finish it off. Maybe its too much carebear or will take a bit longer, but at least you will be able to finish it.

standing and watching works only for dimensional keeper, zeliaka has his a.i. so eventually he wants to hit me even if i dont hit him , and for hp pots, i dont have quick hp pots and he hits me 5k... one time i tried runing arround with horse, he just kept chasing , now i will try ignoring this forums guide tipe to send back arhcer, maybe he can agro zeliaka on himself while i run arround , and warps sometimes do not work if zeliakas tries to use skill he somehow still hits me. Well i got to say that this is hardly "solo" instance...

ps. now i cry because i traded my vampirirc claw to some useless skill :/
i will try ignoring this forums guide time to send back arhcer, maybe he can agro zeliaka on himself while i run arround

I always recommend the same set-up of the NPC team: healer, archer, summoner.
Send warrior to town.

y i done it , my lvl is 86 ... kartiasolo gives a lot of exp 4 me .. archer managed to harras zeliaka on himself while i was running arround , but it is still very hard
Non elemented free gear for the death!

Just get some element, no way you should be hit that hard.

Or save up your adena for future sets, and have the same trouble wherever you go...
I can confirm, that on 85 it was (when kartia came to servers) impossible for feoh to finish solo version. On 86 only when you had a really good gear (I was too poor for that :P).
When I did K85 solo first time with ISS and after with wynn (both on 85 lvl), I was surprised how easy it was. For feoh it's much much more difficult.

My tips for feoh:
Take ISS buffs with Knight Harmony. When you are 88-89 with good def, you can take Wizard to kill faster. Now you are too easy to kill.
Keep long distance to Zellaka and always have some space behind you. When you're feared, you must have some place to run.
Buy some HP pots. Standard pots have long reuse time, but Draco's Health potions don't. Well yes, they are expensive ;) But they give you 3k HP when used.
When Zellaka is chasing you, use Magical Charge/Evasion – Kartia solo for feoh is the best place to learn these skills. If you use it correctly, you evade 2 times with no hit from Zellaka.
When you HP is getting low, mount horse and run in circles until healer heals you. Don't get too far from healer. After dismount, don't forget feoh force (it's off when mounted).
When mobs are spawning around Zellaka, kill them ASAP with AoE. They can kill you too.
If you can't do the instance in 30 minutes, take Elixir of Blessing to get at least 5 melodies when ISS buffs are over.

When you get to 88, the worst part is done. On 88-89 is not so hard, and on 90 kartia 90 is much easier – no fear from boss. Doable for lvl90 feoh with Wizard Harmony.
I don't get all the trouble. I did K85 with my 85 Feoh in full S84 Gear.
The mount use and a backup elixier is something to consider, tho i only used the 2 port skills and had no trouble.
Cmon..kartia on feoh is extremely easy at 85-86 with current kartia...at begining yea, it was way harder, buged npcs, no auto-rez.

Vesper is not S84 gear. S84 gear is as good as Immortal, and you probably had good Attribute on it. At level 85 In Vesper/Unattributed Immortal-level gear you take considerablly more damage. You're basically forced to take Knight's Harmony unless it's a Dual sub with some decent gear or you play super defensive in which case you'll need pots to rebuff yourself during Zellaka.

Unless you time those port skills flawlessly you end up kiting for a cumulative 5+ minutes of the final boss fight, cause often he will not get off of you until he Dimensional Wrings you or fails it (i.e. you port off duringhis cast). Latency plays a HUGE role there, so it isn't about being good or bad. If your connection isn't optimal, you will miss - often.

And yes, it's easier now than it was before. Before, it was seriously difficult.
Knights Harmony is key. You should never get feared. Always stay out of fear range. Death Breath + run if he is on you (with the two teleport skills). When he is not on you then you nuke.
K90 is much easier.

Send away barton.
Hey whoever told u to send archer home is out of his mind, or has never played as a nuker. always send warrior home because zellaka is chasing you and warrior is too slow to hit him at all... also try to add as much holy stones to your armor as possible so you have good dark atk resistance..

rest is just magical evasion and charge i put them at f11 - f12 and always have my right hand on them.. try to make sure you have space behind you, walls are your enemies. try to use dual cast/wiz spirit as much as possible...

HPpots? no they will not work its useless, unless you have draco pots but i doubt it since he is low lvl..btw draco mana pots can be lifesavers with arcane barrier

horse ? been there done that. npcs take so much time killing zella you might as well just go to fairy and grind xp out.

with dimensional keepers wind atk helps a lot it keeps them away from you.. good luck and don't listen to people who have never played feoh..
Its so simple, you guys are complicating it with your paragraphs of tips. Death Breath and run your vanguard unit will kill mellaka. Its slower then other classes but you'll get it done.
Kartia now is considerably easier than it was before, and you're posting after the Linvior update that made it even more easy (you have 1 hour buffs and sonatas). Back then the boss hit like 30% harder than it hits now and he had considerably more HP. At 85 it was relatively routine to have your buffs fade during the fight and if you got hit by him without good Dark Resists 75% of the time you died in one hit at those levels.

The boss has been nerfed like 2x since then and you now have uber buffs for the entire instance and 10% power boost + boosted debuffs that land on him.

Back then the NPCs also got feared literally everytime he did it while they were in range, and they were so glitchy that if you needed a heal the chance of the healer warping back to the rest of the NPCs before casting a heal on you were about 60% or so. They also warped repeatedly while trying to run to Zellaka when you were kiting him, which made the kite and let them kill strategy take exorbitant amounts of time. :-)
Odd, I have never had buffs fade during any Kartia instance on my nuker. Do ppl go in with crap gear now, as well as back then?

Cute X's in ur sig :D

x=0 or close to it?
why ppl suggest hp pots... i never used them in kartia. i dont remember the lvl you get it but you have a skill... siphon and it works on friendly npc too just have to hold down ctrl. i dont remember how hard it was kartia at low lvls because there was no kartia for many lvls but ppl should expect to be difficult at 85/90/95. now you have free buffs at lower lvls tho.

You're getting worse and worse at trolling. But I see you have graduated to doing it across forums now!!!

The person I responded to is talking about Kartia now in a thread that is like a year old. I'm saying that doesn't apply to the thread because the boss has been nerfed twice and classes boosted 1-2x since then. Any feoh should be able to finish that instance with 5-8 minutes to spare these days.

People who went from geared Hi5 toons n GoD (300 attribute weapons, attributed gear - this was before attribute fragments so attribute stones cost more back then) had a bit of a different experience in there than newer toons. I never had issues in Kartia except the first few days when the instance was super buggy (NPCs could barely move without warping, and if you were unlucky with NPC warping and the boss perma agroed you yes you could end up needing to pop a buff pot to finish it. Please, read.

Also, sometimes the NPCs would simply disappear out of the instance... Read: http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=237920

My weapon was good. I had a Vesper Set with full attribute on it, including 220+ Dark Resist that was barely worse than Immortal back then in P.Def. All I had to do was stay out of Zellaka's way and burst him during double cast. My Nostromo macro deleted like 30-35% of his HP every double cast - getting to last room with 12-14 minutes I never needed a rebuff, except at the lowest level ranges when it seemed he would stick to me like white on rice. This seemed to go away as I leveled up. It was not hard, per se, just annoying... Except when the NPCs were super buggy. We had emergency maintenances because of Kartia when it was put in, due to its bugginess.

Lastly, what kind of gear do you expect a fresh 85 to have? Seriously... Should people be expected to RMT Full Attribute gear and 300 Attribute weapons these days?

It's level 85, I think. It did terrible damage therefore the drain was absolutely terrible (Zellaka has (had?) RB-like stats), and it's channeled and roots you (ESC to end it). A lot of nukers who leveled up ST or StSc are used to having a casted drain.

Mass Devil's curse now works, but back then the debuff did not land on the boss therefore the damage was either nothing or so minimal that casting it at all was a waste of time (on the boss).

Because the NPCs were often near the boss and they warped like crazy, people would use HP pots to heal up a bit when they were beyond max range from the MOB. Running in close was volatile, because you could be caught in a fear due to latency/NPC warping.

Kartia is super easy now even at minimum level because of debuffs landing and boosted skill power/mdef debuff on Devil's curse.
Yeah...reading Trenshero's posts reminds me the good old days at the beginning of the server: doing Kartia solo as Feoh level 85 was pain in the a..
It was extreme hard! Of course, as new fresh Feoh I also didn't have good gears, all I had was providing by PoA.

I couldn't finish the second room! Once I got into the last room and I was facing a nightmare: a big ugly mad Boss wanted my head!

After dying and dying again a few times, I went to this forum and read all I could find about: how to defeat the big ugly mad Zellaka? I started to use Google a few days and nights to find any help. And I tried all methods: I still failed :-(. I even bought Salvation for 1.5kk adena (which I didn't have much) and as soon as I saw that big ugly mad Zellaka, I died.

Now? A few days ago I helped a friend on his new Feoh lvl 85 to do Kartia 85, just to show him how to do it. Same gears, same level but no GHP pots, nothing extra: it was piece of cake!
Maybe because of my 1 and half year experience as Feoh, maybe because of the Lucky Sunday but it is too easy now.

Don't start preening yourself just yet.

The reason why solo Kartia is now easier for a Feoh is due to a few factors:
1) You now have access to 1 hour sonatas
2) The healer npc now actually heals you
3) There was a general nerf to the mobs/buff to Feoh aoe

well, the reason i said to use it on friendly npc. usually in 3-4 sec you refill your entire hp. combined with body to mind, there is no way to run out of mp or to have low hp.

You're actually right on that.

Back then Body to mind cooldown was like 1 minute or more, though :-P It wasn't quasi-spammable like today.

This is why I relied on Double Cast for most of my damage in there (back then) and did mostly Spike and Crash outside of it (except when NPCs spawned at set HP %).
Ello,
I had the same issues when I was 85-87, but knight harmony did the job, also spamming M.Evasion and M.Charge helps a lot - if u`re good with those 2 you`ll be able to do it with Wizard. Never had to run with a horse, also I`ve always sent away the archer since the warrior has a habit of attracting attention. But now u got a salvation like buff which makes it a lot easier and also 1h sonatas...
Also Mass Devil`s Curse has a vampiric effect which is quite effective(and now its land rate has been increased) when u`re dealing with Zelaka and mobs at the same time. DeathBreath is not to be ignored.
Best regards.
My solution to K85 as a nuker is to wear the heaviest armor you can find and use a health SA weapon

I am serious, wear R99 Heavy if you got it available on an alt or sub.
The NPC allies will do all the work in killing the boss. You just have to survive long enough to take the hits he sometimes nails you with.

Even with the equipment grade penalty, you will be able to survive those hits wearing the higher grade heavy armor.

If you don't have R99 or R95, I would say go with the R grade Heavy set.
I know it has saved my squishy butt on multiple occasions.
As long as the NPC isn't bugged and warping to you wearing heavy armor in that instance with a health weapon is kind of rtarded.

Put some Fire and Dark Resist on your armor and kill it. It's no longer a difficult instance, as long as it's not buggy and warping. That boss has been nerfed like 2-3 times since they put it in, and low R was boosted in P.Def among other things. It's simply not something that needs to be discussed these days. This instance is trivial now, unless you're just a bit of a bad player.

Back when it was put in, it was a completely different story.
