Just strange question. 2 of my 3 open windows got crashed. and now i can't log in.
in website show that account is playable. but when i trying log in to game i dont get anything. no error message or something. can log only with one account who still not migrated. is this server side problem with login database. or something bad happened?
Ban hammer hitted hard today , but hitted the wrong players...my clan leader and 1 full CP got banned , but the never used cheats...and botters in silent valley , mos , stronghold bla bla bla are still around...are you ****** kidding me ncsoft? as far as i know the only banned players are those who used battleping and wtf for fix the lag issue from the game (for this epic event) and for the screen-freeze...can you really ban them and keep the REAL BOTTERS AND CHEATER going free? mhà! i wont quit and i'm still in , lucky i'm full legit (never used bot or bla bla bla) but those things are kinda sick and sad :|

That the ban was related to @ in the login name is pure speculation and it is not accurate. Please do not spread this false information.
Another weird ban-hammer script with multiple errors and normal ppl got problem. Then did you learn to test first than use ? half of my CP banned but all accs are playable. Even my iss-enchanter (was offline all the day) got bane oO

While we were xp,2 persons from my cp got dc and couldnt log anymore,both saw in their account status banned,one of them reopened his account page and says playble,but still couldnt log,his account had been migraded,the other one who hasnt migrate his account still sees his account status as banned.
Can i say how hungry we are?We hope this is a kind of system error of Ncwest or explain me how my cp members that xp 3-4 hours daily and spent some months to take 1 lvl are guilty.

BTW : Only the account I logged today has been banned, all others are ok. So I think it's probably linked to that since I don't use bot nor radars.

Yes, i am using WTFast aswell, but a friend i am playing with also uses and is ok so far.
I had the same issue and the only program i ever used during game its WTFast for ping issue wich is not against the rules.. Before start comment about good or bad ban feed your brain and think 10 sec before write ******ed post..
Anyway i really believe this is a big mystake and its going to be fixed..

My Alt ISS has an @ in it's account ID and I can log in with no problem.
Ppl with migrated acc have status playable, but who don't make it got banned... :mad:

Yep, only the logon authentication server though, once you've logged in, they will change it to their own IP.
This is probably done so that the game companies can ban your IP without messing with Lowerping.
Banning all major clan leaders and complete parties destroys the server. Happened on Franz, happening again on Naia. After the 2011 massive ban hammer on Franz the server died.
pls ncsoft i begg you bann all the characters that use bot pls pls on all the servers i don't care if i will play with 100 people on server that 100 people are real players not booters

Just yesterday i saw at least 2 fp in Cruma tower exping, seems like more boxes for the current event, so I don't thinkg it's a problem for them.
Changing HWID isn't so difficult. I'm sure, that the person who is botting, doesn't use just 1 computer. So if he got a banned HWID, he can easily replace some computer's parts from one PC to other. Both PC HWID will change.
I have made numerous posts about how this should be done, but the short version is:
1) do not ban the competition
2) Ban the worst of the worst only and scare people.
3) remove the worst of the problem ( the low level 85 bots that farm in mos etc).. and perhaps ban the people that have gained hundreds of billions in gear from this crap.
4) Please allow them to come back by paying ncsoft once, just like the old warning system.

I have been able to log in using my email all day, havnt had a problem, and even after this thread was started until now. I have not been banned myself, and we have no reports of this that im aware of on Magmeld.
Please please PLEASE ncsoft under new management fix the third party market and the bots with no gear that make some people VERY VERY rich.
You wont ever scare them off of the cheat program until you finally crack down and ban those bots within 24 hours.. the bot masters will learn very quickly and tell there friends. Also. i suggest announcing the worst offenders in server chat, and letting the community know your cracking down.

Oh come on Sace, none of the people who i know are banned is unbanned. None. And most of them sent support tickets. Yes we probably can send 1200 - 1500 more support tickets. Because this is the rough estimation of the moderate ban hammer.

What is worse is that the big clans are botting on a much bigger scale than a guy who just wants to get to 85. Furthermore, the server is full at peak times anyway so theres really no way it could die out. Sure, the top clans will get hit but other clans will take their place in a legit way, not by botting 24/7.
Its kinda ironic years after years we were asking to ban the bots and now we (at least i speak for me) legit got banned like that, think that i was sit in ch to keep up buffs for my mentee when i got hammered.. i would really like to know at least what i did wrong to deserve this treatment.. :/

Battleping and Lowerping are using the owners own IP when logging into the game, which makes identifying who is who much easier ..
Before in time they were sharing the same IP which made it impossible to tell, who was botting coming from that particular IP since it was shared among hundreds of users.
Before the route was: battleping ip -> lineage2
Now, and it has been like that for a while: customer ip -> battleping ip -> lineage2
And for the people who are having issues with logging in.
The server is light (Naia) and the login server works with no problems (at least for myself).. this means, if you cannot login it's because you have been banned. Submit ticket and find out why and keep this off the forums.. GL HF!

NC solved it by creating Naia. No, I don't say botting clans are the way to go. But in past it has proven a mass hammer isn't the solution. Even adena farmers left Franz because there was no money being made from that server. It's good and bad in many ways, but on short term the game has a lot of issues and won't benefit anyone.
NcSoft i hope you come with BANHAMMER on Magmeld to, because i will wait you there,if on Naia was 70%ban on Magmeld will be 90% for sure i hope you cme here also

Friend of mine think that they probably checked the log at some specific time, wich can explain why some using program suc as WTFast has been banned and some others not.

We're trying to find a solution for people which has been ban by mistake and it ends to be BLABLABLA this clan bot BLABLABLA there are bot in this area.
It's just a bother 'cause important posts about the actual problem (wich is legit account has been banned, trying to talk with GM that say they are unbanned but not) are simply lost in the middle of flood of people talking about non related stuff.

NCsoft has been famous for having clean sweep ban hammers. Great, but will it continue? Will it constantly be checked? Or will it be forgotten
As I have mentioned before, the solution to the adena spammers is REgular Expression Pattern Matching checking for URL's (this is a computer programming topic). Any solid developer who is skilled with PERL, PHP, or C can do this in relatively short order for NCSoft, few days testing, and this problem goes away for ever.

atm need active gm's who can regulary log into servers and chek what happening there..

What happened to the lengthy investigations about notorious bots, did you decide to suspend them and swing the banhammer before Christmas to unload Naia after the endless complaints?
We're trying to find a solution for people which has been ban by mistake and it ends to be BLABLABLA this clan bot BLABLABLA there are bot in this area.
It's just a bother 'cause important posts about the actual problem (wich is legit account has been banned, trying to talk with GM that say they are unbanned but not) are simply lost in the middle of flood of people talking about non related stuff.
Please fix this issues with ban or accounts restricted....seems real players get ban and bots from server are still on...

As you people here know by now, Naia has just completed a cleanup.
Unfortunately, several players have been banned without a valid basis or proof.
Moreover, two hours after cleaning up, I took a quick trip through MoS, and what do I see? The same bots that have been there for the last 6 months every single day.
Should we accept this? Why is Monastary of Silence, Lair of Antharas and Stakato Nest is still full of bots, 2 hours after cleaning up, while hundreds of players, who claim that they are lawfully in the game, was banned?
Not enough with that, but I think it could be dangerous that way NCwest handles its regular users, by not seeing the consequences for the person behind the character, that has been deleted by insignificant reasons. Most people who play Lineage2 I would say are young and spend a lot of time on this game, and may be more vulnerable than other young people, who do not spend much time in front of the pc. It happened today, I think mistakes were made and I will not be surprised if someone who was affected by this incident have negative repercussions in real life.
Lack of general guidelines, I think NCsoft needs a watchdog.
Log on Naia and teleport to the MoS, LoA, Stakato, the usual places, then you will know that there is something not right, now before Christmas time.

Hes right, if you werent using a cheat now, that doesnt imply you never used or tried.
I ve never used one and have migrated account since started, and i can log in like np.
So dont act like if all the banned people trully are legit...probably all of em used or were using programs at some point...but lets give the doubt, because theres people who are very well known especially in naia, so if they are still logged in...expect the hammer did bad too, but if they arent...

Will Gm's spend some more time online tackling bot problems? Like checking farm areas time after time and banning bot's on spot? As normal players can't farm due to the fact, that the best exp regions is full of bots and if you do try to do something to them, some R99 party turns up and that's the end of it.
Okay, everyone, I've been given the go-ahead to release some additional information.
There was indeed a moderate banhammer on Naia today. This included an error that we quickly found, and accounts that were wrongly banned due to this error have already been restored. :)

Guess what - i didnt share my main account with anyone! And I have never used any botlike/cheatlike/***like program and that acount is banned. This is some king of joke.
I'm just using WTFast to lower my lag and seems they banned many people for that reason.

Im from Eastern Europe and still got less lag in some games that got server in America then other players, for exemple in Dota2 my max is ping is 50-60 on the american west- east servers.
I use WTFast.. and it's not a problem of using it.
Better Internet? I could have 1Gbps Internet.. and still wouldn't be enough.. there's most likely routing problems... between my ISP and Level3 Datacenter.

i've got this issue when servers was on maintenance. can't login to forum, to account etc. error msg said: wrong pass or acc name. so support team reset my passwords.. after maintenance, in last stage on solo kartia90 when left ~15% hp to peline :) and i got instant logout and had to waste another 30mins of my life :D

As I told, it is not so simple to ban a bot. Atm they changed their IP/HWID or even smth more, most of them don't care about these bans. Atm I really don't know what to do to make them permanently dissapear. Maybe an automatic banning system...?
And yes, it will be very funny, at least for me, if NC will detect, that all this people crying "I didn't use it, pls unban me, pls pls pls, I wanna farm" used just once any kind of unlegit SW (even not boting or ping lowering SW).

easy - log once or twice in day and check top xp/farm spots. i don't talk about old ones like hellbound, stakato, mos, mahums or loa. but new ones. for 85+ peoples. harnaks, soa, swamp..

i played on teon. since 2008 december. and i know what happened there :) sometimes i miss gm spam.. was funny to see shout when we xp in imperial tomb: GMSpam: ok now delog your bot's or i will hurt you!! or something like this ;) that was funny orc, too bad he quit l2 ;(

Sace told you over9000 times, to write a ticket at support page, and YOU should understand that you're not the one who sent this kind of ticket.

You my friend are clueless.. the 5 biggest botters/Farmers in Naia survived without a single ban on their accounts. Almost, you can log now without problems and without lag :)

I am playing L2 for 7 years, and I got a lot of problems with different private servers, so don't tell me about "if you, then me". Don't you really understand, that you need to wait for an answer at the support?

He didn't quit L2. NCWest fired him for doing his job to well. HGMSpam banned so much bots in one go that both Franz and Teon populations dropped by 30-50% totally crashing the market.

For many days I cannot write bot reports for some isses , who sell buffs in Aden with program - making party(or buying an item), then trade for money, then buff.Bot report button doesnt work, bot report letter - the same! Its REALLY funny after this to log and to find out than many of my friends who REALLY play alive - banned!

Actually I wonder how much of those happy people have clan with more than 10 members and more than 10 friends. Cause the moderate banhammer that went slightly wrong did hit between 10 and 20 percent of the population. So to be happy, statistically speaking, you should be very, very shy and asocial.
Finally you listen all the ppl that was complaining about bots and did a good action.

It's been 15h that my ticket has been submited, as expected when you ban around 1000 account at the same time, no answer.
What I mean is I want to be SURE that the GM understood that the unban part didn't went ok. Without any answer from Sace, we cannot know if they understood that there was a problem there.

Ppl,Ppl,Ppl...relax...take a chill pill.....if you didnt get a email staing you were "banned"...then you werent banned, you are just having difficulties when loggin in thru the new migrated accts...and BTW...not all accts using the new "migrating log-in" are affected....i have a new acct made last week and i have np logging into it ( some name@ some domain.com )...give em time to look into it as they are on a skeleton crew thru layoffs and holiday season....they'll get to ya. In the meantime...sit back, take a deep breath hold it and let it out slowly ( in thru ure nose and out from ure mouth )
