While we wait for a working fix for this issue, please use the following workaround: if you play the Aden Prize Wheel or purchase an item that is sent to the Dimensional Merchant NPC, try to claim the item so that you see the message 'No more Dimensional items can be found.' (It is important that you attempt to claim the item and trigger this message, or else the next steps won't work.) Now, log out to the character selection screen and immediately log back in and speak with the Dimensional Merchant NPC again. The issue may return the next time a new item is added to the Dimensional Merchant, if there are already 200 or more items stored there.
Now it is explained why there were no extra Kaliel drops/sells. Because they intended to sell it! Honestly this event showed to me that NCSoft West is really getting in a state that they don't care a single thing about their players. Sad day for L2. (at least for me)

This is not accurate. The event settings are not changed in any way; the sale of Kaliel's Wishes in the L2 Galleria is only supplementary to those that wish to partake.

Any news on the fix for this weeks server transfers?There is yet no confirmed issue that explains the errors you and a couple other players have been seeing. Support might be able to resolve the issue soon, but as long as server transfers are off I cannot guarantee any additional ones to be processed in relation to that issue.

To my understanding the change to the event last week was due to errors with the event. Despite what you might think, changes to the event were not some sneaky attempt to force players to purchase Kaliel's Wishes.
The details about the sale aren't yet posted, but to alleviate your concern I can share some of the info with you ahead of time: to help make the commodity of Kaliel's Wishes for the event as convenient to players as much as possible, up to 3 Kaliel's Wishes per day per account will be available for purchase for only 1 NCoin each (practically free), while additional ones will be available for more. I don't want to be too "conspiracy theory man" but unfortunately the things NCSoft do goes against what you saying. Why? First even if the extra buffs were a bug, the idea of giving 5 wishes as a compensation is a bit ridiculous! (it was not 5 wishes for day or something like that it was 5 wishes period) And its ridiculous cause its not even an hour per day that you giving as a compensation.
Second, even if it is just 1 coin, you actually need to buy Coins (and im pretty sure you can't buy only one coin) So what NCSoft is saying is: "pay or forget the event".
And it is something like that cause the odds of someone get anything from this event is ridiculous low.
I dont have NCoins, i wont be receiving extra wishes. What is the result? If i had almost zero chances of getting anything will have even less chances of getting now.

I actually do have to agree with most of this, however I will say one thing dude if you've only gotten 30 tokens out of 21 hours of wishes (not including the 5 free from nc) you are definetaly doing something wrong, dont activate those wishes if you only have 1 character to participate from till the level of the event is at least 15-18, even only counting the wishes from only my main I've gotten probably 300-400+ minimum.

I know many of us spend a lot of RL money on ourselves yearround, but christmas is supposed to be the season of giving & celebration, so why do we all have to spend RL money just to enjoy it in game.... Read what your players are saying, some of what you guys are doing is false advertising in this event....
And in the event description in game.... and now we have to buy at minimum $5 USD in ncoin to get what we should have been able to receive in game for nothing or for the cost of some of the tokens from the event.... What just about every post I'm reading here says and what i've heard from people in game, it's just another ploy to get money out of us, wake up and give us an event that
1) we don't have to spend money to participate in
2) doesn't rely on bots to succeed
3) doesn't make us all log & leave logged in afk multiple characters all day to take part and get good prizes
Perhaps if you guys could do just that simple thing, you'd see some rather happy players, rather then the grumpy dissatisfied and unhappy players..

This means that <0 war numbers will appear properly after server RR in War Info window? Or they gonna still reset in every restart of servers?

A have a question though: will this maintenance fix the issue on Shilen, where the NPCs in Magmeld (Sookie, Naomi, Noeti) are impossible to interact with? It's been like this for 3 days, and the players are sad pandas without their PoD/Kimerian dailies.

I've recently come back after a few months break. I can't believe the game has gotten so ncoin hungry. Just about anything players do now requires ncoins. Before the release of ncoins people were enjoying events as there was balance.
Now most players are not enjoying the game and are mostly not enjoying the events. Yes the game does have some great options for players but 99% of those goodies are dealt with ncoins. What i was disappointed with was the spin wheel mechanism on the internet.
I just wonder when an international ruling will be introduced on mmo's being restricted to gambling techniques. I'm just ashamed to see the game go so bloody greedy. When you did introduce ncoins at the start prices were cheaper back then. Prices are just going all the way up too high.

Hahaha nice one. Seems NCsoft starts to charge the L2 community (slowly introduced, but it was expected imo)for event items. This has never happen before, on any event.
You just got a Korean l2 event, failed to introduce it correctly (kinda seems on purpose to me), then in order to make it "convenient" for us you have the fantastic idea to charge 1 NCoin for an item which it was supposed to be TOTTALY FREE. Yet you guys made it "PRACTICALLY FREE". Hillarious.

is it just me who sees this or is everyone else disregarding the coin purchase minimum? what i am trying to point out is that you have to spend a minimum ammount of $5 or $10 to be able to spend the 3 coins your 3 wishes cost. (however it clearly blocks botgroups without valid credit card from having even more wish... on the other hand it also skyrockets their purchase minimum)
so clearly someone at NC soft did the math and is trying to force an additional x amount of sales on the purchase minimum.
when keeping in mind that in korea you where able to hunt 2 wishes and buy them for 30 tokens (not 1 coin!) each, i am wondering if it would go too far by calling this an exploit of the event?

Nice to see some bug fixes,but It's started to get annoying. This event I wouldn't complain about it,but first event days some randoms earned free tauti rings,just because event even didn't bothered with low price prizes. It just went to 31lv stage all the way.. Later you change the event to almost not impossible way to reach tauti ring and it's really good,but at least you could delete those rings which were gained by randoms so easily. That's not the point actually,event by looking in to the prizes list is just amazing,but participating in it just sucks. Now you bring back l2 aden wheel again. Which I clearly dear to say were will be at least 2~4epic jewels in it. All what I want to say,could you just stop put in those events in game and Ncoin events uber items? At least don't put best epics in it. We already had aden wheel event with nice epics,now tauti ring event I dont even mention those other rewards.. I understand those rewards like Blessed or Destr scrolls,but don't put all end game stuff,because by looking in to situation it seems you don't even need to go raid bosses or collect some materials/items to reach something cool. Kaliel's Wishes show gray in the inventory meaning they cannot be used (I do not have one active already).
Important: In order to receive any tokens or rewards from this event, your character must have the Kaliel’s Wish buff active. If the server is restarted, the event begins 30 minutes after the restart. After the event begins, all players that are level 85 and have completed their Awakening class transfer are flagged as ‘eligible’ to receive rewards without the Kaliel’s Wish buff active for 1 hour. After that 1 hour has passed, only characters with the Kaliel’s Wish buff active are eligible for rewards.

Will the "Spin the Wheel" be fixed? I've petitioned my problem, where I've spun the wheel on 2 accounts for over 2k worth on NCcoin and when I recently went to retrieve them, there was nothing there. I petitioned to support and their response to me was that there was only a record of 1 spin per account. I've yet to receive a followup response, so I was just wondering if this maintenance will fix this problem?
Also the fact that you are bringing this event back, maybe give people warning that they may not get the items they get on the spin.

Please note that the Aden Prize Wheel re-launch as been delayed until later today. Currently the game is "live" as it was before, but when you try to choose your character it will say your character is not high enough level, even if it is. This means the game is currently not activated. (In the future when the game is offline we will have a message that clearly says so, instead of this confusing message about wrong character level.)

how do i get a crash report if no splash screen even shows up? ive tried to run it in every compatibility mode and nothing. i am running ncsoft game advisor application... what else do i do?
I would submit a support ticket with any information you can gather for them if you are having the windows 8 problem. posting it on the forums gets us all nowhere.

We certainly did not expect an error. When we tested the patch before making it live we did not see any errors. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and we are working on fixing the problem as fast as possible.

Now as a player, i have to tell whenever you mess up with Windows 8 it's just minus one player, i won't attempt anything to get it work - l2.bin to l2.exe, run without client, etc. Sure you don't care about it but just felt like telling as an old player here :)

I don't want to be too "conspiracy theory man" but unfortunately the things NCSoft do goes against what you saying. Why? First even if the extra buffs were a bug, the idea of giving 5 wishes as a compensation is a bit ridiculous! (it was not 5 wishes for day or something like that it was 5 wishes period) And its ridiculous cause its not even an hour per day that you giving as a compensation.
Second, even if it is just 1 coin, you actually need to buy Coins (and im pretty sure you can't buy only one coin) So what NCSoft is saying is: "pay or forget the event".
And it is something like that cause the odds of someone get anything from this event is ridiculous low.
I dont have NCoins, i wont be receiving extra wishes. What is the result? If i had almost zero chances of getting anything will have even less chances of getting now.
I don't remember in all times i played L2 (don't be fooled by my reg date, i played for more then 6 years now) an event so bad as this one! (I challenge anyone if you can remember one)

We have already responded about it multiple times, asking players to send support tickets.
Just now I hear there is some progress being made on the issue, but I don't have any details to share and we still not have an ETA for when a fix will be ready.
Windows 8 has been out for awhile now its not something new. If you got to BestBuy, Staples, OfficeMax. Fry s, etc and buy a new laptop or a computer it has windows 8 installed now. All new computers come with a UEFI bios now it is very very hard to put anything but Windows 8 on these new computers as the bios is locked now. For a company to have game out and suddenly pull support for windows 8 is beyond me now. Im one of the people who got a new Windows 8 computer early for Christmas so I'm stuck with it.

I will have to accept and ofc move on (when the windows 8 issue is resolved of course, now i simply can't play) but after this is obvious (looking to the things NCSoft choose to do lately) that the company simply doesn't care about their players. That said i find it strange cause if half of the players stop paying (let's face it, i don't know about the other people playing, but i would never pay for any L2 Service after being treated like NCSoft is treating their players) that will reflect in their pockets.
As a reflection idea, try to find another MMORPG with this kind of stuff happening on their servers in Christmas! Even in private servers you would never had such a useless event like this one in Christmas! (One of the things L2 used to be remembered was some great Christmas events!)

Trying searching, you will have your answer that Windows 8 will not work after updating to the latest client. I know what the problem is and am working on fixing the issue myself. :P

problem is in engine.dll
but they made more changes so old one will help you run the game but not work regulary ... (you cant see numbers at many items... like shots, marks etc ...)

Not wishing to state the obvious - but if it was properly tested and trialed before release we wouldnt be pressing you for an answer. It seems that we are mere beta testers now.
Quick update about the Server Transfer Account Service: due to a technical issue in the registration process, the service is now scheduled to be re-opened on January 9 instead of January 2. This means the first batch of transfers will be processed on January 16 instead of January 9. The maintenance notice, and the account service announcement, are being updated to reflect the new dates.
We are still working on getting the fix for the Windows 8 issue. We've been able to reproduce it so that helps move along the process a lot. We've escalated this issue and we're doing our best to get a fix as soon as possible and hopefully before the weekend. Once I know more I'll let you know.
Sace, please tell me why you guys haven't just reverted back to the old patch that worked, put the Christmas event on hold until you can fix this issue and re launch. This way there would be no interruption in service, nor would there be hundreds of people like myself who are losing time on XP buffs they had purchased. Probably because it would conflict with the server side updates and end up causing headaches for everybody, not just the Windows 8 users.
Well I will say that the servers are less laggy. I haven't had any lag spike thus far, and normally i have a few. So I will say one nice thing, Thumbs up to that Sace.
I can't belive this. I left all other servers and stop play on them because there have bad support or they change the game, everithing is selling BUT here.... I found much more troubles , unbelievable LAG , unserious attitude and support from the NCSOFT.
Except dualbox Piotresss' fix works fine. It's unbelieveable he did it by himself and NcSoft doesn't even try to give players any "beta" fix to let us play.

second ticket # 121218-002200 it's been 2 days and nothing.

That's the thing, it's just talk. Moderators write what their are told to write and things continue to stay as it is.
It's unbelievable what's been happening to L2 West this past few months, and it will continue to be worse. Eventually one of this lack of commitment from the L2 devs will eventually result in the server being down for a few days and only then i see something being made about it. (Because at that moment revenues will be permanent affected)
For now the "taking responsibilities" talk is just a saved speech that someone in the top of the chain told moderators to tell in this situations so don't expect much changes in this behavior in the near future.
By responsibility I mean that NCSOFT is aware of the issue and we are working on fixing it. It is not being ignored, and we are not abandoning players with 'no fix.'

Still waiting for a state change. Since Christmas without you, will not be true Christmas Theme.
As of right now the status is yet unchanged. :( We are waiting for Korea to send us the fix. Once they do send it, we have to do some tests on it, and then if everything works out we'll be able to implement it without any server downtime (that's good news). Though the holidays are here and a lot of the company is away, I'll still be checking forums and emails intermittently through the break, so I'll keep you updated along the way.

You know to all the people ragging about the x-mas cosmetic items in the store, the prices and what not. Guess what you DON'T have to buy them or remark negatively. $20 for the Santa girl cloak isn't terrible and for someone who really likes and wanted it they will buy it. Matter of fact I bought one on each of my accounts. I also bought a Rudolph agathion on each of my accounts because it's cute AND it gives a buff. Both those items are permanent so even better! If they were temporary I wouldn't have even bothered.I do think the rocking horse mount is grossly over priced. The Teddy agathions are just recycled items.
As for the event if you thought turning in coins was going to score you some epic prize you're an idiot. You know very well events are low chances. You make more money selling the event items. This event is no different than any other one in this game. Selling the coins is a sure profit, turning them in is left to a low chance. Don't come on here belly aching how much it sucks and you don't get anything. Play smarter.

Seriously, this is getting beyond a joke! I have now lost out on 4 days (assuming it obviously won't be fixed today) of a Nevits Dragon Rune because of this issue. Don't get me wrong, the game down time has been annoying but the worse part is that I Spend money on the L2 Store and due to this pathetic issue I have now wasted my money. A ticket has been raised and shock horror, no response from the correct department as yet.
It's just frustrating that issues arising from buying Ncoin or using Ncoin are fixed pretty much immediately but issues where Windows 8 users can't even log in to the game is still on going!

Daddy's little princess? LMAO Well my dad does love his only daughter,but no I work sweetie. I'm 30 years old. The cloak is a permanent item not temporary. And technically if the servers closed you'd lose EVERYTHING you ever spent time or money on so whatever.
What I do for a living doesn't concern you. It's all earned and paid for myself. I like some of those things and if you don't that's you're business. Don't buy them and keep your negative remarks to yourself. Maybe YOU like SP runes or buff pots where as me I could care less about those. XP runes and a cosmetic item here and there is about my taste. I have a budget I limit myself to every month on Ncoins. Last month I bought nothing and saved those coins for something else.
