Fixed an issue with the Dimensional Merchant where items would not show up properly and could not be retrieved if you had more than 100 items stored. Now, a maximum of 300 items can be viewed at once, and any items in overflow will begin to appear on the item list as room is made by retrieving items from the NPC.
The Windows 8 issue is still awaiting a fix. Once we have more news about it we'll let you know.
Will you fix the talisman issue?
When swapping to subclass or back from dual class, it shows it is equiped, but oyu not getting stats for it and it is not on your buff menu... and does not do it everytime, only some of the time.

Sorry but if the fix isn't listed in the maintenance notice, that means there is no fix for it. :( I'm afraid I don't have any updates to share about those issues.

I agree why is this not just updated in the next regularly scheduled maintenence? I thought hey maybe they fixed windows 8.. nah course not. You hate your player base. How long before Ncsoft goes bankrupt cuz they sold off all their stock...
This is idiotic. Take down the server, remove the previous patch for the rest of us to play, and go debug the problems. I can't believe emergency maintenance is happening for this stupid crap. NCSoft what in the hell are you thinking?

U delay general fixes needed constantly, and never do emergency restarts for even major bugs, but wait untill wensday. But when its something that is directly linked to the reintroduction to Wheel of junk, and guess som ppl spend ALOT of spins there if u need to increase a limit of 100 items to 300 show, and unlimited in backup.
This really marks the end of NC looking out for the community and gamebase. Money makes the world go around, but this is a all time low !

Totally unbelieveable - Even a forum member with a bit of programming experience has managed to produce a fix for this ! I have checked it and it works so how about NCSoft check it ! - No they would much rather concentrate effort on some niff naff which means they may sell more NCcoin - Well I think they will lose much more NCcoin over the lack of a fix for Win 8 :eek:
You're having a laugh hee Sace, you guys have ignored more pressing issues and left it to the weekly maintenance rather than bring it down.
In the meantime 7 day runes are ticking down because of some trivial issue.
It's really frustrating that you guys and this game have improved over the years but somehow still get the little things like this so horribly wrong, or at least seem too.
Unless this particular issue was some major almost game breaking problem I cannot understand why it deserves emergency downtime at all.

That was deemed severe enough to merit an emergency maintenance. The next 2 weekly maintenance are scheduled to be basic server restarts only, due to the holidays. (If there is an update about Windows 8 over the holidays, that issue will probably get worked in despite the holiday hours.)
Will the GMs ban again those cheaters who got unban in the last 1-2 days?
Since today the same cheaters/bot users appeared again (not all but minimum half of them) and continue what they did do before.
Additionally me, but some another players on Naia too, did detect some little lag again, (while yesterday and 2 days ago when these players was on banana island the delay was close to 0 second).

The event stage will reset because the event progress will be effectively restarted. From the event page:
If the server is restarted, the event begins 30 minutes after the restart.

and did anyone take the time to look at the fix mentioned by Piotress ? the error is in engine.dll I have tested his fix - it works. Why has it taken NCSoft over 24 hours to make zero progress on this ?

By severe enough u mean, NC would risk not selling enough NCoins. Why cant u just come clean and say it as it is. this problem only affect a tiny tiny fraction of the players. While the 99.999% of the player base suffers for this, specialy taking it down in prime time doing raid hours.

Yeah I agree.. This was a needed fix, but not an "emergency".
Can any gm answer me what happen whit the siege?
Siege times are server-based and are not effected by downtime, so as long it is still 'siege time' when the servers are back online, the clan hall will still be siegeable.

This is why i don't buy NCcoin! You can't trust ncsoft to fix a small problem with the Windows 8 operating system. This is the only game that has problems with Win 8. Wow ,LoL, rohan, rift, tera, etc all run and have run fine since win 8 was released. Oh and Lineage 2 was running win 8 for months fine till 2 days ago. All new computers bought from bestbuy, staples, officemax, etc have windows 8 its not a matter of upgrading if you get a new computers especially during Christmas etc when many people get new computers laptops.
please also check the sub class quest,, specially the last portion in the old talking island.. when i talk to the Mysterious Dark Knight after i talk to him his not responding anymore,, until the announcement came ( the dungeon will expire in 10 minutes ) so i decided to abort quest then take it again but still the same..

Of Course it is severe when money is involved, yet I don't know of anyone that has gotten compensation for run down runes, myself included when I couldn't even move through a field while the GEO DATA WAS SCREWED UP AND I HAD A 7 DAY 200% RUNES WHICH COST A Penny. Or when people purchased runes right before server down and come back to not being able to play because of game guard or windows 8 issues. I mean come on lets get real here.

The fact that people are spending tons of money at that wheel and filling their merchant is nuts. I've never at one given time had more than 20 items in that merchant.
Of course if you fill it up you can't remove again, so you login remove some items and keep going, it's same thing with the warehouse where the cap is 100 but at 90 you can't see anything past 90 items but that doesn't seem to need a fix either according to Ncsoft.

DrachaVonDrachen, it's not the point that NCSoft is profitable organization the point is exploitation of customer, price gouging, false advertisement etc. the list goes on.
When you do stupid stuff you get stupid responses. My point is, you take down a server for something small like that, and to me it's small, you going to tell me the player cannot go and pull some items out so that the others will appear? However, you don't take the server down for a game guard fix that affects 95% of the player base? Instead you make people suffer for another week. Ofc they are interested in fixing a revenue source, but there is a hell of a difference in how u do it. NC relie on us to be adicts, so stuff like win 8 ect, they keep push that away, but they are as much a equal factor in revenue as the price wheel if not bigger. This is just a here and now limited time revenue, something that in the long run gonna give less then NCoins spend on general items like runes and wit items. This was a fix that very well would have been dealt with next wensday, but it looks good to the bosses i guess.

At one time it was nice because NCSoft would not interfere with game play at all.
