Hello, I'm intrested what is better for healer from 85 to 95 lvl
Yesterday I bought Twilight Robe but What would of been better to buy, heavy or Robe? I know that on 95+ Heavy is better, but what should I bought now?
If you are pve only you can go even but naked. The toon is imba. I just rolled an Aore dual and this class is awesome. You got like 7 heals and it is impossible to die or let somebody die in pve unless they are badly geared and can die in 1 hit. On top of that balance, progressive and panic heal are just ... wow I have a good time playing this class.
Yet again I would suggest robes until 95. Nothing can heart you so much if you just pve. After 95 it must be a heavy as you will be attending pvp events. Have fun with the class :)

Why light is better for Aeore? Robe has +15% cast so... what goods does the light gives?
well, to answer this:
its true that with robe u get +casting speed and and so, but. with light u get +pdef, little more evasion, little more phisical resistance and litle less critical recived. and mp comsuption -4%.
so yeh, with robe u cast faster and so, but with light u are lil more "tanky". besides the fact u cast rapid enough and skills have a fixed delay anyways.
i think 85-95 the only plus on robe is +matack, and as a healer u dont really need that since ur job is heal the party, not deal damage.
all that said, use what u want. what im saying is just my opinion, not the absolute truth. enjoy the toon :)
I'm not an aeore healer, but i was talking about it with a hero healer... ummm the name was Bingbing, don´t remember his reasons at all, but he told me that light for healers is a complete waste of gear.
and about Heavy vs Robe... there are about 5 threads discussing this, and apparently the conclusion was that all depends on the situation... that means, to lvl up, even 95+ robe is better, for Clan PVP, heavy is better, in olys maybe you'll have to care about put macros to equip the right Set when you've seen the player that you'll fight. for example if you are on heavy and the player is a feoh or aeore, change to robe.
Well... as you heard, i'm not a healer, so maybe this is not a Pro-advice BUT, as i've understood Heavy/Robe depends on the SITUATION!
I play with immortal +6 light from 85 to 95, I play with seraph light at 95.
No problems found with this.
Consider play with heavy set.
I start a healer in euro server and I die with one hit of zelaka with robe set. I buy and play with heavy set now, no problems found: the best skills of healer have a fixed cooldown.
the pro with the side of light users is that you wont lose the HP bonus, since healers get light set passive. From a DE side, this could count much. anyway, heavy will give you only pdef - if you are cheaper and have no money to rely on +5 leg WIT dye, WIT/MEN pendants, you should think about using heavy sets only in a later level (its not the case you'll face too much pvp and can do miracles now, tbh. then the robe set just fits well in this early start)
the thing about being 1shot by zellaka or another mob: just care to element your gear, even if its immortal. I've seen enough ppl running with 0 element on gear 'cause they are keeping it for their TW set (while already knocking the door of 90ish!!), and it could be more wrong, since they can die in 1-2 hits for any mob at their level (i've seen even tanks in this situation, omg). Element stones are cheap and plenty on market, no way to avoid them.

Ok, the ppl saying light armor is good, what set bonus did you find suits the healer best, and why? As far as I could tell there was no bonus worth anything to a healer.
As for HP, my healer is a dark elf, and I have no problem with having no hp bonus from my passives. The extra pdef of heavy more than makes up for it.
But I am genuinely curious what type of set bonus ppl would go for in light armor...
hello, im aeore human with robe tw 150 atrib and set +4, usually go to pvp with my clan searching for wartags (im 89) and i really dont have much problem keeping my self alive (most of my clan are +95). I would choose ligth for tw till 95 but its to expensive armor and over rated imo. Robe its ok. When i get 95 i prolly will take light, i refuse to play with heavy, its not in rhe healer natural to play with. The bonus are ok, bettee than robe imo.
I am sorry, but any healer 95+ which isn't using hvy will get smashed soo badly in normal pvp.
in the next chapter aeores need tos tart to think what they gonna do with the heavy set, :B still light best option imo, since main heals dosent need to have much casting.

And why if i may ask? Because of loosing Frantic Healing?
You should ask a 95++ Aeore how much cast speed they have in hvy + wiz harmony + Acumen Weapon.
If after all i am wrong, i gladly accept it with some proof.

That's exactly one of the reasons heavy set is preferred over light.

Not sure how light would be best option. There is no defensive light set bonuses.
But please, enlighten me as to what set bonus you find better than the other on light armor, for a healer.

Hvy + acu wep + wiz harmony + buffs and some solidairty = around 1800 castspeed, without Frantic healing.
That is not with +15 wit, I havent bothered with legendary dyes yet. I also dont have a +3 with pendant either.
@ Smittie
I use myself Imo Hvy + Wiz Harm + Requiem Buster Acumen+Mana up on a 85 Orc Healer. Never had any problem.
But thx for the info. I am pretty sure Ana69 has no clue.
Isn't it wonderfull how some talk so smart and once you ask them for a proof, they never come back to the topic? ;)
Similar to my setup then Dreamer. I currenltly use a +6 blessed immo heavy with a Specter caster acumen on my 97 healer. I also have a safe enchanted Seraph heavy fully elemented, but it only gives 170 more pdef than my +6, and we both know how good the +6 bonus is, right?
Is mp an issue for your orc? Or how come the mana up? I was thinking of going mana up in the beginning, but ended up using empower+acu on apo caster since I have a mage dual class.
Mp haven't rly been an issue in the few parties i did. Only once in a K85 with 2 feohs (which seemed to refuse to do btm ^^)
That Aeore is just the Dualclass of my Iss. I've always been a fan of mana up. Even had till that a low c wep mana up for the first buff round.
Well, I figured since ppl didnt really charge very much for the Blessed R1 scrolls during the event, why not make my +6 set blessed too? It was fairly cheap.
When I do kartia 85 on my second healer, and I see ppl not using body to mind, I tell them once. If they dont use it, they dont get any recharge either. Im not gonna be the enabler for ppl that dont know how to play their class or read their skills. Especially in a random party.
Lil tip about party kartia: If ppl start bishing, just pr. The instance closes and resets as soon as all are out of it. If you end up with a bad crew of ppl, just get out and find a new one. Shouldnt be too hard on a healer.
Healers won't be able to use heavy PvP/PvE sets in Lindvior so pretty much everyone will use robes (or maybe light but I don't really see the point, the bonus are crap and the extra p.def is negligible).
I remember seeing it on the forum that shall not be named that you can only use PvP/PvE sets if you have a mastery for it (so no heavy sets for healers/summoners).
I myself have an Aeore Duaclass, still low level (86). I use a Vorpal Robe set 3x120 and S grade duals.
The sole reason for using the set is that I already have it from before GoD. I don't feel yet the need to reinvest in a set, especially since this one is 3x120. However, does any of you had the chance to use an "old" set 3x120 and something like a regular 3x60 set (Twilight/Immortal) and compare them ? Some people claims that the pdef on the TW set is really great (talking about robe) but I am not convinced, especially with resists (I learned how important they are).
Reading your information regarding stats (especially yours Smittie, ty for sharing) makes me believe I will soon change for an Heavy set, especially since I know how is the +6 bonus set. However, does any of you use S grade duals ? This point has not been talked about here, and I find the SA kinda nice. I don't feel like needing M.Atk so i'm fine with that

With That, full buffs/sonatas + wizard harmony have around 1800ish cast speed w/o frantic casting, 4.2k pdef, 4k mdef, 13k m.attk.
Does extremely well in solo pvp. With Lumi debuff damage is quite good.
Does well in group pvp only issue is against lvl 98+ archers with +15 and higher bows.
In necessary situations - knight harmony 6.2k pdef, 3.5k mdef. almost 1700 cast which is almost no difference in cast time. Take very little damage from physical attackers.
Frantic Casting: Can only be used when equipped in robe or light armor set. Increased MP consumption.
Progressive Heal: Greatly increased MP consumption to 573.
Brilliant Recharge: Increased MP consumption to 3900 ~ 4180. Increased MP recovery to 700 ~ 750 and 50 MP/s.
Lacksis Disc: Increased MP consumption.
Giant's Favor: Increased duration, reduced cooldown time.
Those are the changes you are refering to. Not a big deal, you don't need frantic casting and honestly for the little bit of cast speed it gives you, its not worth the MP consumption due to how fast the healer skills are naturally.

That's the reason I don't get why people are crying for Brilliant Purge. Like healers spam only that skill and neglect their healing spells. Nor the fact that someone is convinced that healers will resell their sets after Lindvior will make them unable to toggle Frantic on with heavy armor.
OK so I've been reading (and reading...and reading...) and while I understand that heavy vs. robe is situational, I don't have the luxury of owning 2 sets. Also, most of the threads seem to go off the rails with people just debating which buffs to use and not the sets themselves.
So, with that said: my clan does pvp a LOT - and tagging along with my trigger happy brother in law pvp happens...a LOT XD - we seige at every opportunity and there's almost always a war on. AND we also do tons of raids and group instances, while real group aoe xp parties aren't a real priority for me.
My question is: if I can only own 1 set to best match my pvp and raid/instance pve needs which one should I go with and why?
I'm a human about to hit level 85 tonight (I know, no one plays human mystics anymore, but it's a really old toon that I just picked back up after 4 years away. He was a DA, and now that I can awaken to whatever I want I'm going heals) so idk how much race will factor into my needs.
Also, money is limited with being away for so long - so if I end up with immortal pieces is there a good hybrid combo for any immortal parts? I can get a few twi parts from the CWH
That's the reason I don't get why people are crying for Brilliant Purge. Like healers spam only that skill and neglect their healing spells. Nor the fact that someone is convinced that healers will resell their sets after Lindvior will make them unable to toggle Frantic on with heavy armor.
People are crying about brilliant purge because its a skill that does too much for so little. Combine that with healers other skills that are quite strong themselves and you have a class that's stronger than necessary.
Sure brilliant purge by itself is ok to work around but add party celestial and single celestial and its harder, add 1 second reuse cleanses and its even harder, add crystal form and its even harder, add tree of life cleanses and its even harder, top that off with its much more immensely powerful low cost heals from Goddess of Destruction along with the new trend of wearing heavy armor and still having high mdef, cast, reuse from wizard's harmony and you have a formidable character that takes quite a bit of teamwork to kill. Add in a tank, another healer and a supporting iss enchanter and you see why no one targets healers and only target archers, wizards and rouges in pvp. Those mentioned classes are simply easier to kill because of their much lower defense so there is little need to stack debuffs on them to kill them with a few assisting DDs.
But lets not continue that topic here I'm quite tired of discussing it.
On topic. No the upcomming problem aren't the baby nerfs that healers got in Lindvior, its the drastic power increase every damage dealing class has gotten. There's the large boost for debuffs which isn't a big deal in group pvp for the reasons I mentioned about, but then there is the raw power increase and that is what's going to cause an issue.
Archers hit harder and have larger range.
Wizards hit much harder and have larger range.
Summoners hit much harder and have more powerful, longer range DOTs and survivability.
Rouges hit much harder and have more annoying protection skills.
Warriors hit harder and more often with skills.
What you're looking at is an slight nerf to healers and a large boost to every other class. However its necessary. Yes healers are currently overpowered, you can argue against it as hard as you want but everyone knows it, the developers know it and have already done something about it so arguing against the inevitable is pointless.
@ Laby
I gonna test the Robe + S Duals combo the coming weekend i think.
Gear to test:
+10 S Duals
Requiem Buster Acu+mana up
+33333 Vorpal Robe set (~10*120)
+43333 Immo Hy Set (3*60)
+66666 Vesper Noble Hvy Set all 3*120 (3x rare parts, but shouldnt rly change much for a healer)
+43333 Immo Robe Set (3*60)
Maybe i will add a Immo LA Set. But i can't compare it with TW Robe.
The char is Orc Dualclass Aeore, no subskills/dualskill taken. No WIT dyes/Hair Accessory.

@ Yamino: I'm not arguing against the inevitable. I'm saying that only healers with INT dyes will cry about not being able to use Frantic Healing while wearing heavy armor. The rest won't care.
And seeing that skill power is increased in Lindvior, that's a strong reason NOT to switch to light or heavy. I, for one, don't wish to be 1-hit by a random warrior just because I'm foolish enough to wear robe...
And funny enough, I still get hit by 6+ characters while pvping.
I'm pretty convinced tthat nobody would complain about healers being too strong if parties had only 1 healer. It's the addition of a 2nd healer that makes the combination of immunity skills very strong.

Yeah if they put a debuff in place like their celestial shield to limit the spamming of the skill by 2 healers or God forbid those 3 healer groups.
With that in place those other lindvior nerfs are completely unneccesary.
Mana Up is better for Mage and Healer. Empower is worthless, except I'd probably consider it on a Summoner since they basically never have mana issues.

While i might be getting too ahead..if it is a weapon you intend to keep for a long time, on lindvior summoners wont have more mana from mark of void, i also notice a slight increase of MP comsumption on marks, and these will have 2 secs reuse with melodies+wiz, so these skills will be cast at a much higher rate for their crits, MP will be drained faster, so mana up will be beter in the future..for now i think one should not look at empower or mana up something to get on a summoner, but only because of the aditional 5% pvp dmg increase.

Mark of Void: Increased range to 900 and duration to 10 seconds, reduced skill cooldown to 5 seconds. Absorbs 50% of damage done to the target (including DOTs) in PVE and 25% in PVP.

And it is this way because you say so?
Or can you add some argument as to why it is this way?

I remember seeing that video, but we were discussing on "brown forums" that it no longers provide MP, i am unsure if itwas somechange after this. Anyways it's going off-topic so we'll have to wait and see.

most forum users who even dicuss information on roc hand link straight to the korean sites where you have to google translate yourself.
This applies to what's written in your signature: "I now aim to educate the masses of lost souls in Lineage 2, not by spoon feeding them information, but by opening the way to self-education.". Google translation of Korean Powerwiki is a way to self-education (since you look for yourself the information you need).
Surely better than mistaking (on purpose?) Terragamers' fail translations for "official" ones, since they are exactly as a Google translated page, without even the effort to make sense of the words slapped on a blank new page.

I think someone is mistakenly thinking the linking to powerwiki is to provide patch notes on that forum. It is merely there so ppl can go look up what is being disussed.
At least I have no trouble reading Elmars english. And they have threads there that have the translated patch notes in the first page, and then ppl discuss it on the following pages.
If I go to terragamer, I get a google translated text with some words not translated (since google didnt have them), and the grammar is so out of whack, that at times you cant even figure out what it means.
If they cant bother checking the text to make it readable, why even bother looking at it?
This reminds me of those ppl that wanted to make money off of youtube traffic, by just spamming random oly matches (some where ppl didnt even fight back).

i have those stats w/o dyes or pendant in casting speed :) (even more)
the "almost not diference in cast time" words are overvalue
u dont understand real diference between cooldown and casting.
if u have full party near u, means u can heal u self to full hp (from 1 to 28k in my case) every xxx seconds (9 seconds my case)
from balance.
ps: guess sub/dual skills helps
ps2: my pdef is going over +50% just in robe i will link screen of this later

1. Stop jumping to conclusions, I am stating stats in knights and wizard's harmony in heavy armor showing that either harmony in heavy leads to nearly max cast speed which proves that it shouldn't be a concern when thinking about robes. Your comment on the relationship between cast and cooldown is irrelevant.
2. It takes me 9 seconds to fill my HP on a badly damaged summoner... 9 seconds for a healer is awful.
3. I'm talking about equipment and harmonies, you're talking about subclass skills. We're on two different pages here.

ok use numbers :D
1.i want know what is u class, is that a problem? (point is i got maximum even naked but full bufed xdd i think is something bad :s i made test when was pk and was cleaning naked :D 1.5 cast w/o frantic and 0 items weared)

1. I'm a wynn summoner. I have access to a random human 96 healer hence the setup I mentioned above, which is good enough for quick use character. You have max casting speed? Congrats man.
2. I am not sure what you mean. You need to work on your English skills.
3. Again still don't know what you mean. I'm describing my stats with the above setups of a 96 healer. I never mentioned balance.
4. The difference between 85 to 95 is too drastic of a change for a healer as the main skill (frantic casting) and armor (Seraph) talked about in this thread aren't even attainable until level 95. Seeing as anyone who matters is 95+ and thats everyone's goal is to hit 99, talking about your harnak healer setup is pointless.
Oh and again if it takes you 9 seconds to fill your HP with an Aoere Healer, please for yours and everyone you encounter's sake, please play something else.
I know its hard to follow him/her but I think he/she referred to 9 sec using balance life.
"every xxx seconds (9 seconds my case) from balance."
I don't know about him/her but I always thought cooldowns are static for every race (didnt they made this change long time ago?) and only cast speed is a bit different because of the wit difference and idk why it should be different than 9 sec for others.

I have to disagree with that  And it's called Frantic Healing btw.

Ah yeah frantic healing.
Also disagree with what? You get that skill at 95 and you can wear seraph without penalty at 95.
There are a multitude of important skills between 85 to 95 that makes healers across these levels vastly different in power not even considering the new harsh level penalty since GOD.

im busy most of time,
+1 for hard to follow my idea :D
in old chronicles wit afected the casting/cooldown
now only the casting (means cooldown form e is same for dark elf and other)
when i say this im agree with yamino (but he dont understand YET what i mean)
i played hierofant, cardinal, eva , shilien in c4 to h5
same in this chronicle
the only skills fected much for race u belong is brilliant group
for light ef frantic heal is almost useless (i have 1.9 casting with sa health ...w/o frantic so...xd)
ps: probably be in the clan with most fame in server helps xd also i have dual 95 and all subs.

He's not saying that its difficult to follow your idea. He's saying its difficult to follow what you are saying because of the spelling and grammar issues. Now I'm not being one of those guys that attack people on their English skills as a last resort due to running out of debate material. I'm just saying I have little idea of what you're trying to say because reading your posts is a challenge. Even the one I qouted above, I don't know what you're saying.

The best skill at 95 is not frantic, is brilliant purge.
oops :o u're right my mistake, but anyway a spamable skill with spell immunity and purge and if u enchant it for power hp heals by %... is one of the best skills of the healer if not the best
I myself have an Aeore Duaclass, still low level (86). I use a Vorpal Robe set 3x120 and S grade duals.
The sole reason for using the set is that I already have it from before GoD. I don't feel yet the need to reinvest in a set, especially since this one is 3x120. However, does any of you had the chance to use an "old" set 3x120 and something like a regular 3x60 set (Twilight/Immortal) and compare them ?
does any of you use S grade duals ? This point has not been talked about here, and I find the SA kinda nice. I don't feel like needing M.Atk so i'm fine with that
I also have 86 healer alt, light elf. the wit is so high, using the S duals is no issue and she has plenty of cast speed, and I have them and the vorpal robes. But, you may have to take Knights if you get hit at all, S sets still have very low pdef compared to R sets, which the element resists do not compensate for vs. mobs. the issue with Knights is then losing the reuse of balance and chain; which means you may have to single target and use panic heal more often if someone is getting hit particularly hard and the other skills aren't up. Typically I need nothing more than balance and chain to keep a party up (with wiz), and in pve very rarely or almost never need to use panic heal.
I've had the S duals forever but, tbh I've never used them more than once on my main; I tried them at siege and, after you have used up the extra mp and in the midst of battle without full cp anyway, the SA bonus is meaningless, and not having the acumen bonus starts to hurt; plus I am not light elf so not at that high of wit to start with--I prefer to have acumen SA. And in pve I like to do damage when possible so don't want to bother with them then either. The only time I've seen needing health SA is doing the big guillotine raid which just hits super darn hard.
Atm I carry two weapons: unelemented requiem +4 with acumen and mana up for party pve or mass pvp when I am focused on only healing and doing no damage; and an apoc +4 dual SA 300 staff when I feel like doing some damage. The mana up can help in pve/pvp when you have occasion to rebirth and/or noobs are dying like mad and you need the extra mp for more healing. But unless the party is especially weak and requires a lot more heals than usual, mana up usually isn't really ever needed. In pvp I'll take all the cast speed and magic crit I can get, since I need to heal myself up as fast as possible to tank stuff.
My question is: if I can only own 1 set to best match my pvp and raid/instance pve needs which one should I go with and why?
if you pvp AT ALL you should wear heavy. only pve-only carebears have the luxury of not doing so. I have a light set but haven't even tried it out. For all purposes heavy just works great.
I had to deal with a healer who would simply refuse to wear heavy over robes giving a load of bs excuses and something about skillfull healers wearing robes and noobs wearing heavy.
Then during a pvp a hero archer hit him for 55k and continuously around that average.
Yamino , bro i m wondering is ur main class aeore healer?U should know that frantic healing is one of the worst skills for an aeore since it raises the mp consumption which is something that healer always try to avoid . Normal casting , good re use ,heavy and knight harmony(when u are with 2 healers in a pvp party) +15 wit that is all u need bro.Ofc wizard harmony is what i prefer but u lose more pdef which is all u need in pvps . You feel good when a yul crits u for 3k damage huh ? :DD
I use a 6+ Vesper Noble Set with 3x120 element. Works fine for me.
I'm a PvE carebear so I can't say how much this would help me in PvP, but in PvE the set works fine for me.
Base Defense: 440
Set Bonus: MP Recovery Rate +5.57%; M. Atk. +8.47%; Magic Cancel Rate -30; Casting Spd. +15%; Speed +7; INT +1; MEN -2; WIT +1; Resistance to Stun +50%; MP consumption upon skill use -3%; and opens a cloak slot.
PVP Bonus: Reduces damage from PvP. When your character’s under attack, there’s a chance to reduce opponent’s Critical Rate chance and Critical Damage.
I also have the PvP Bonus for warring clans in randoms so I can survive a few blows and PR to save my friends.
Now let's put this against a 3+ Bound Immortal Set (which is all I can afford if I decided to buy). Elements are taken out of the equation.
Base Defense: 537
Set Bonus: WIT + 1, Casting Spd. +15%, MP + 185, Resistance to Shock + 5, MP Recovery +0.6, Heal Amount +65, Resistance to attributes +10, M. Atk. additional + 15%
Enchant Bonuses: 30+ P. Def
I think the only bonuses worth having here are the Heal Bonus and doubled M. Atk% boost along with the 67 extra P. Def (which could mean the difference between life and death). The others are kind of meh and don't do much.
To be honest, the bonuses are a bit flimsy with Noble Vesper, but the main reason why I use this set is for vanity, set bonuses, and the elements. Even then, someone commented about how in PvE the defense of S80 can hurt your chances of survival even with elements. This is true, however I would like to think that it's all dependent on player skill that will keep the party alive in most PvE situations. For example, I personally think the heal bonus is negligible for two reasons. First I am very good at managing sustain so I can easily maintain the heal bonus on 3 or even 4 of the most squishy members of my party. Second I use Progressive Heal in most PvE situations which is a percentage based heal, which I believe is fixed (correct me if I'm mistaken) therefore the heal bonus would have zero effect on my actual healing done. Also, since I'm in college, my play time has decreased drastically so I'm no where close to getting to the R95+ ranged of groups and PvP, so I don't really worry about buying my future sets. Anyway I want to hear more about the light armor bonuses. Would be interesting to see how the LA outdoes heavy or robes in certain situations.

You sure your main is a healer, knights harmony means you spend more mp, have signficantly more cooldown on vital skills such as purge, group heal and balance life.
You already have a 30 second UD, crystal regeneration 2 celestials when an archer is focusing you or if your party has intelligent members get an iss to quickly give you knight then change back to wiz harmony.

Knights harmony is just bad!
Knights has its place in healer pvp, its all situational. I have a setup where I get to about 55K HP/CP combined, and about 6k pdef and a shield with knights,I needed it in small scale pvp 3v3 and they had an archer with +12 or better weapon.

I use it all the time in PvE. For some odd reason, daggers and feohs never take it when they get one shotted 5 times and scream at me "YOU'RE IN NOBLE VESPER WHY DON'T YOU DIE????

No.
I have several noble vesper and vorpal light and robe sets 120 or so. The lack of pdef does matter, a lot, and it won't be outbalanced by the ele resist, although it helps. Having an R grade set is necessary in serious situations. But, R robes or light are useless for healer and you are better off in the vesper till 95 than in spending any money on immo or twi before that.
Light armor bonuses are crap. don't even go there, period. As I just said in another thread, it performs worse than either robes or heavy in all situations and should only be used when you can't afford either of the others. PVE is flexible but at least from a pvp standpoint, all healers should be in heavy.

It's a rare/nonexistent Iss smart enough to fast enough to figure that out without being told, and/or to actually do it when needed. I always have to ask for Knights if needed and by then it's usually too late anyway.

yes. main problem is getting the knights on the fly when you need it, instead of after the fact...

Now I have some backing to my claim when my clannies complain about my Vesper
