Correct, no Windows 8 fix yet, and the event info was missing-- sorry about the error! I've edited the post to reflect this information. Despite the change in the event, the maintenance notice does still say 1 hour duration, according to the info I've received.

cheers for some Resolutions by Devs for stronger and more interesting events. although Jolie is certainly interesting, she was really stingy with rewards... she must have assumed we all had tens of thousands of tokens.

And honestly, I know is not ur fault or something like that, but this was the worse event ever. 3 weeks for nothing than enchant hair acessories and some element stones(I gave up of the 15coins box coz the tons of useless teleport scrolls). People botting like crazy with awaken chars 24h, 7 days per week... new players cannot enter on the event as well.
There is no 100% fair event in lineage 2. I know it, always some people will abuse, but u guys gave us lol chances to take something. I have 8 chars awaken, I'm pretty active in game and I'm frustred a lot ;P (not only me, trust me).
I know this event was not design for christmas as well... but well, community feedback is important, isn't?
Events are something that u aren't forced to do for us and we really enjoy when u do it, but this last one... was the holidays period...

should be automatically enrolled in the wish program for the first half hour after server is up anyway... didn't they say that?

Sad so very sad..... I wonder how many players got new PC's for Christmas with Windows 8 preloaded on them and desperatley want to play your game and spend thier money on l2. I would have thought someone with some business sense at NCsoft/NCwest would have prioritized this issue to be resolved by the end of the holliday season.
I'm looking into this now and I'll post again once I hear back on what will happen next.
Sace (or Juji), does this line mean that event-related items like Kaliel's Wish, tokens, pouch, etc. will disappear, or rewards from the event too?

You have not given us a status update on this issue with windows 8 other than there is no fix yet, someone knows something and it would be great as to have at least an ETA on when the coding will get fixed since the player who fixed it himself already got slapped by NCSoft already. This is getting ridiculous and it is bad for business, unheard of a company not fixing an issue on their end in a timely fashion... at least for successful companies that is.
And to all those people who are saying it's windows 8 users fault let me remind you all of something, people with new computers come preloaded with WIN 8 already installed and christmas / new years just came around, so stop blaming people with windows 8 and defending NCSoft for their own issue that should have been fixed the same day it came up. As the January 9 maintenance is scheduled to be the first involving any client-side changes to the game (such as event item removal) those items should indeed remain in-game until then. There is a list of what will be removed on the event page. (http://www.lineage2.com/en/news/events/kaliels-blessing.php) Rewards are yours to keep-- just be sure to open any Kaliel's Soul Boxes or Gift Boxes or Training Scrolls, as they are in the deletion list for that date.
As to the event not ending quite as expected, I'm still trying to get more info from other teams but at first glance it seems the only issue is that the event NPC Jolie is still in towns. I don't see the event interface, so that does suggest the event has "ended." Please let me know if there's something I'm missing.

Indeed, this has been a very unfortunate situation, and alas I still do not have any updates to share about it. If they tell me an ETA for when a fix will be ready I will happily share it with you. In general, once I know more, you will too.
Anything you can give us on an ETA for the Windows 8 fix would be helpful Sace.
We realize there is little you can do, except ask for when this might be addressed and fixed.
I'm thinking about coming back to play more active again, but can't do much until the Windows 8 issues are addressed.
I've read the official (and some unofficial forums), an tried everything suggested. Also submitted the help tickets with the Game Diagnostic Reports for L2 - still nothing works.
Most of us who have gone through all of this know this (we're talking hours to trying to address the problem), but until the higher-ups at NCSoft address this and apply it in the updates, we're stuck.

also, what is the ETA on fixing the 2-5 second delays between every action/click/button press that practically every single person i talk to is experiencing on the Chronos server (and other servers im sure)? was this partly due to the event or...? the game is practically unplayable in normal 7v7 and 14v14 open field pvp, and xp looks very similar to a slide show of still screens with bright lights.
inb4 get a new computer or internet connection, as those are not the issues.

This was a small update and no detail page was planned for it, but I'll write one and try to get that posted as soon as possible. :) In the meantime, Juji may be able to answer questions you have about the new items.

1. The Heavenly Cookie (Magic, Defense, Attack) do not stack with ISS Harmony Buffs (Wizard, Knight, Warrior). They are exactly the same level 1 buffs, but the cookies have a 60 minute duration and cannot be removed/deleted after death. The Heavenly CP Cookie gives a 20% boost to CP for 60 minutes and it stacks with everything.
2. The heavenly cookies will overwrite newbie and milk buffs since they are better. The 3 Harmony Heavenly Cookies will also overwrite any existing harmonies on your character.
Just got a response back on my ticket on the Windows 8 issue since the 19th maint. Contrary to what Sace has been saying that Korea is working on a patch etc, I was told simply that Windows 8 is not supported and, there is no patch by a GM. So there you go finally a straight answer.

Im still fully impressed at the consistency of these maintenances btw, keep up that "hard" work yall are doing.
I don't know what is so hard to fix the Win8 problem first we know when the update was what broke the l2 client (we know) so than in one of these files should be the problem! and i don't think it was at that update 1000 file that was updated. or the L2Team Korea don't has PRO devs anymore.
So i bought me a new laptop whit win8 why the old one was no more running the last major update so i must now wait to play :|
