WTB Gaming PC to play L2

Figured General Discussion was as good of a place to ask this question.

Just started playing L2 a few days a go on my girlfriend's recommendation, so far I'm loving it. I've played a few MMOs but so far this is my favorite.

I like it so much that I'm looking to get a new computer to play it more. My desktop now is a old gateway that is a few years old so I've been playing it on my roommates laptop. So far I've found this one:

www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227448

Does anyone think it will do the trick, if not any suggestions on what might? (Within the $500-600 range) I'm looking to play with the highest settings. Thanks in advance!
Add one SSD and i think its all good for L2.

cya!
Curious, what will the SSD help with?

And thanks!
L2 read alot from HD and the SSD have lot more speed that make the gameplay 1000x better xD

Have other videos if you look for them.

So what I could do is get a SSD, install L2 on it and it'll play better than if it was reading from the HD. Got it. Thanks!
Today, SSD is the only piece of hardware that will boost L2 performance. I just ordered a 120GB one, been waiting too long anyway.
I need to buy one SSD as well...
I am not really the all knowing person but what would help is:
- High overclocked I7 processor.
- Play L2 on a SSD or
- Play it using Ramdisk <- Cause using Ram is still the fastest way the play.
Btw i have L2 installed on SSD but i do have lag/delays like a *****:)

this ...

i have an older pc and until today i thought my pc was the problem for the lag but i was in a friend's home in the morning to help him setup his brand new pc with top specs ( ofc a ssd to put the game there ) and after the setup we faced the truth ....

this lag is server side !!!

nothing helped ... battleping ( it has a free test offer ) , fast path on adsl line , ssd .... nothing at all.... LAG even in kartia 95 that it is instance !!!
I lagged bad on L2 some places only. Knew it was not my 175 MB. down, and 75 MB. up Fibor-Op ISP, so finally I built a new com. to play other games, and L2 better.

Here's the new com. specs: * Corsair Graphite 600T Gaming Tower * XFX Core Radeon HD 7850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 1024 Stream PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Supported Video Card * AMD Vishera 95W FX-6300 Hecta-Core (6) 4.1Ghz Turbo Processors * ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Motherboard * G.SKILL Ares 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1866 * Kingston HyperX 120GB SATA III SSD * Western Digital 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb * LCD 24 Inch. HDMI/DVI 1920x1080 Full HD 2ms response LED backlit 50,000,000:1 Contrast Ratio with Smart View & Splendid Video Intelligence Technology Widescreen Monitor. *

There is NO lag at Siege with 300 players on the screen, all graphics are maxed as high as possible, all setting, shadows, reflections, character shadows, anti-aliasing on, and damage text info. on also / resists / heals / and so on incoming, and outgoing. Tested CoD Black-Ops II for fun, and can run that NP. all setting maxed also, so I am very happy with paying only $1300 for all the parts, and Monitor from www.newegg.com on Black Friday, so got some OP. sales, but they always have some sales, no tax, and free 3 day shipping, and are easy to deal with, Pro.

I truly believe now it's all about your system, not you internet unless your actually playing on some public absolutely crap Wi-Fi. Lineage requires minimal bandwidth, same as Ventrilo, or Team Speak. I lol when people say I am lagging in L2 so they think shutting down Ventrilo, or TS3 is gonna help.

Good luck with your new computer. Buying the parts from newegg., and building a tower is the way to go FYI.

EDIT: SSD FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try with lowerping. I have tried battleping in the past and didn't work well.

Get lowerping and test different servers depending on your location.

A moderate PC with i5 cpu 8-16Gb RAM a cheap SVGA for ~ 100-150 EUR and a good SSD (500gb/s) is all you need.

Pretty sure L2 doesn't make use of multi-core processors, or at least that's how it used to be(I doubt it's changed).

I play with an i3 OC'd to 5.2ghz, an ssd, and 16gb of RAM. I lag/blackscreen very rarely, even during sieges. You're better off just building your pc rather than buying one that's pre-built, it's not hard.

L2 uses all 6 cores on my system FYI.

Also guys remember right now the server has had bad delays, and lags for past months on, and off, so ask clannies if they have the delays at same time before you go blaming your com., or ISP.
hmmm this may sound stupid...but im gonna ask anyways

Does SSD= Solid State Drive?...and if it does...what is the "major" difference compared a HD?...is it the speed of the drive itself?
I didn't feel like typing much more today so here is a couple articles: http://www.overclock.net/t/1166156/how-games-really-benefit-from-ssd / http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/solid-state-drives-vs-hard-disk-drives/

SSD is insane fast for loading, especially textures, and so on.

The read/write speeds are fast as hell.

Re-booting system in seconds, loading L2 in seconds, running through aden lag free 45 secs., or less after clicking re-boot.

I love it.

EDIT: It all matters, decent ISP, decent components, and minor computer knowledge, and no one would lag, except for when the servers have there moments.
