I just awakened from a dreadnought and was wondering which Cry is better in certain situations. I plan on sticking with poles also. Which is most useful in PvE and then PvP?
I have awaken from DN too and had to change my play style.
For me the recomended stuff to have in a tyrr warrior is:
-Heavy set +3 to +6
-Two-handed Sword or Dual-Sword with double SA (Stay away from Damage Up SA) +4.
-Pole +4 with Damage up (this is because poles have less p.atk than the other types of swords.
-Conversion and Health weapons so you can pull frenzy at anytime.
-Keep Battle Roar and Ogre Cry next to each other (using the two one after the other when you don't have pipe melody restores pratically full HP ).
Since humans have low crit rate, I recommend you use Ogre, Hawk and Bear Cry. Keep in Mind that all tyrr skills are based off p.atk and use the cry which best fits the situation.
Using Cries are depended on your using weapon, enemies, battle situations and etc
My favorite:
- Light armor (high evasion, speed, etc). Some ppl said "Tyr doesn't need evasion", but u can try to feel the difference! So if use light armor, I need to use orge cry almost time in mas-war!
- In pvp: I use weapons that are high atk.speed and high crit-rate (fist, dual sword or 2-hands sword); I use rabit or hawk (depend on crit-rate SA in the weapon; low >> hawk, high >> rabit), Crit rate is really awesome! Dont forget Tyr has Berseker skill, effect in 1 min (so cool), and you can use Bear cry at this skill effect time.
- In mas-war: I use pole and Orge cry. Attack in background, stun, disarm & know down enemies. If you wanna kill a ppl fast, u can change cry and weapon as PVP. The atk.speed and strength are also useful in this situation.
And etc :D

If you are running far: Rabbit.
That is the only time it is good. Dont pvp with it, dont pve with it, just run with it.
If your critrate is good: Bear.
If it is not: Hawk.
If you are a bit below the lvl for the area (aka you see light red mobs): Ogre.
These tips are ofc for ppl not geared to the max. But to be honest, if you are geared to the max, you are probably not asking these questions either.
