Hey guys, it's been a long time since i played L2, and i want to give it another go.
This time im starting with 2 other friends, and we want to have fun playing it, not only in PVE but also in PVP.
So i'm open for class suggestions for us to play, some mix of 3 that work well together in both terms as i said..
I want you guys to give ur suggestions not based on FOTMS or OP's, but as a fun factor, thanks in advance!
Basically right now on Magmeld, healers and tanks are hot classes. You won't have any problem getting a party after 85. Everyone has a boxed Iss Enchanter (buffer) So if I were you I'd box the Iss with whatever you decide to make and level them at the same time. Feoh Wizards are nice for pvp, over powered nukers :)
Get with a clan and form a constant party of seven players. A tank,healer and Iss are a must and fill in with other dd's you want.
If you don't spend money on items like exp runes you will be also wasting more time.
So without money and or a lot of free time you are playing a very competitive game that hopefully you don't mind just playing for something to do.
If you came back in high 5 when they had double exp events I'd say different but now it's almost pointless for you won't have good gear, probably will never get the gear good enough to pvp and bots rule the servers. GL

Well that's the extreme negative view of it. a constant party isn't a waste if you're on a lot and they are to and you can get right to xping and doing your daily stuff.
This game has ALWAYS been about the time you can put into it, that hasn't changed,but now NC has added a shortcut of sorts. The L2 store. If not being the top level and having it all doesn't bother you then just play, have fun. It is a GAME after all.
Don't even bother pvping until after 95 anyways. Your competition is 95 or higher anyways. I don't think you're going to get far with being 86, you'll be dead before you hit them 2 times.
As bitter as some people are over the cash shop and botted toons they STILL continue to play and dole out negative opinions. If it's that bad then don't play it. Tera is free go amuse yourself there.

Pick the server that best suits your timezone because it won't matter when it comes to high level players; all server have a lot of 95+ players on them.
The biggest thing you need to concern yourself about is the massive amount of botting and cheating than goes on here. You will seldom find any area that is not filled with bot trains fighting with players for mobs. :D
Take my advice, do what a lot of us have done and move to Core (Innova's Euro Server) where it is pretty free of bots and a lot more fun to play on. Or Tera Online with is also F2P now and a pretty good game by itself.

All servers have 95-99 players. So, don't delude yourself into thinking you're not too far behind in the level race.
what is this l2 innota's thing that people talked about?
It's the Russian branch of NCSoft that runs their own Lineage 2 servers, they are also the ones who run the European servers now (Core). In my opinion they do a much better job at keeping their servers clean of bots and cheaters because they have their own protection software called Frost, they do not use GameGuard at all.

I'm going to check this out this weekend. Currently installing. If it is indeed better I'd rather spend my time there.
Hey, welcome if you aee from NA best server to join is Chronos. As for classes if you guys plan to always lvl together one of you should go ISS if one of you dont plan on boxing one. Live iss beats a boxed iss anyday.
As for the other two guys heres what to look at
Tank - find parties fast for dailies/pve for pvp they are hard pressed to be taken doen they block a lot and their hate skills keep enemies off the rest of your party in pvp
Healer - self explanitory for both pve pvp they are awesome
Archer - can half kill like rogues good for pvp and pve dmg low mana consumption super squishy if thry grt pinned
Mage - insane op dmg esp sinc3 everyone gets boss jewels and have lower mdef if played right no1 should be able to kill them
Tyrr - jack of all trades fun to play easily aoe solo power lvl with off tank koderste dmg higher def thrn other dd classes
Rogue - hardest hitting class half kills like crazy (my personal favorite class) 90+ U really love having half kill classes in pt.

Veteran to what? private servers? I played Chronos up until last year and never heard of any of you. You are not anyone old skool Chronos. Your forum registration date reflects it.

Oh Prelude..well I don't consider that Veteran. I'm from beta so that's what I consider a veteran old skool player
All servers badly need TANKS and Healers so one of you could make one if they like those class.
Oh c'mon enough tanks already... I certainly have a feeling those are half of Naia's population lately. And I definitely never, ever, had a problem finding tank for my parties.
