I am talking C3->C5. These for me were the most fun chronicles for me I find with every new chronicle and update that I am losing interest In L2. I even started checking out private servers so I could play the older chronicles but there are no real good private servers for C4, C5.
Would be cool if NC would do a Legacy server. Anybody else miss the old days?

I miss the old days... but my 'old days' consists of Prelude -> C2
C3 is when they started ruining things. They added BSoE to the game...
Ive just come back, i played retail closed beta to c3. Then a few private servers. It feels like a totally new game, well... it is. I'm torn on my opinion about it. I'm just a lvl 53 overlord and the early lvls are going fast, items are easy to get. But towns dont seem the same, empty now. If i didnt get recruited at lvl 4 i would be bored out of my mind as chat restrictions make it lonley.
I miss pvp at lair entrance and toi. I remember trying to get a char up to toi 10, it took almost a day! then when we got there, we were so drained we logged out hahaha. Funny days. hard days, tormenting days but i wouldnt have had it any different.
Old days where u was going to pvp even for a spot in BS for do your daily 1-2% at lvl 76 ... i can remember making full pts for go xp in ToI 7-8 ... the old good days when you was suppose to know how to play instead of buying +15 stuffs for real moneys...this is not a Lineage 2 official server , this server is exactly like the other unofficial servers (but there you can get their equip too , here you can't...we just miss some of the lolcustom stuff as "rebirth system" or "tatoos" and we got them all :D now you can even buy MP Pots 50% asd)

People were buying +15 weapons ever since they had the enchant scrolls that allowed OEing. The only difference is that it originally wasn't as easy to see who had the +15 OEd weapon.
People were also paying real money for Plvling, buying powerleveled chars (with or without OEd gear), etc.

now-a-days, it's just impossible to find people who'd grind with randoms to gain xp in places that's not instanced / daily

I'm on the official servers since 6 years.
I can say also, that first of all I miss the old players/friends who was with me in these times.
I like the new updates, so I can't say, that I miss the old ones.
It is typical human ability, that from the past we mainly keep our good memories.
But there was a lot of things what made me angry at these times.
Here is the Ceremony of Chaos, what is one of the best thing in the whole Lineage 2, no BSOE, no PR, often you dunno who is who there, just PvP:). While Ceremony of Chaos reward system is extreme good.
What I still miss the old pvp style of the players.
Right now people only make full party vs full party pvps, if they see there is 2-3 enemy while they are alone, they often just bsoe or leave.
Also they mostly skip the 1vs1 pvps too.
What I would remove it is the BSOE, Party Return and Party Celestial skills, Chain Heal skills.
Well i only miss the the diversity fom C5, when you could wear almost any set you like and any weapon, unlike now, when you're forced to wear 1 Set and weapon so you can do some dmg and also the element absence. Otherwise i don't miss old ppl and etc. I miss the old days in essence; when we were young and the girls were wetting themselves just by talking to them about your lvl76 Shillien Templar :D and having sex was much easier and much more fun :)

Ive moved on rarely log bots and Money traders ruined all updates. Lineage was awsome now its just another business model for botters. Wont support cash shop anymore. Waitng for the death roll. But i do miss playing and the OLD PVP rules. Crafting used to mean something now its a complete useless joke.

Yes, against "top clans" the PvP is boring, because even if they come out alone or in small group take with them about 1000 QHP and 100 BSOE.
That is why I prefer to play on Oly and CoC. In this month in my server as Othell Rogue I have the 3rd biggest amount of PvP dmg on the server. But about 1-3% of this damage what I earned in Clan War PvP.

yes ofcorse i missed old days.The good idea is to separate the game on hardcore and normal more.Hardcore is from 1 to 99 lv no awake rewards no quest rewards just old lineage 2 with old craft system and etc. let see then what will happend i am sure many people will like that.and normal is like now :)
I, for one, would gladly pay a monthly fee of 15$ per account per month to be able to play on an official C4, C2, C1 or even C3 server. And I never considered playing on any private server (thought of it as a betrayal to the company that had produced the game and still do). I started playing L2 on official NA servers (Kain) in April 2004 (Open Beta) and played actively until 2010/11 (with short breaks).
Old L2 had some magic but i think it's mostly caused by memories and PPL justimagine too much. Once I tried movind to priv server set up with Interlude Chronicle. It was very low rate, had good GMs, no customs (even no autopickup), no noticable donation, very good online and so on. ppl PvPed on VoS for mob dropping DC gloves. So it was pure "old good L2". But somehow there was no magic I expected. Why? I guess cuz times changed. In old days many ppl were like 15 year old. L2 was new, fresh and not many ppl saw huge mmo game with own world. Now all these ppl are 10 years older and saw a lot of games ad live with memories from the childhood about perfect game.
New L2 is different, no dubt about it. But still good for me. Especially after this week banhammer on Naia. :P I think the only thing that new L2 needs is PvP for something important. Like Baium in old days. Now all is instanced. That has it's good point - new players can get all the new stuff. But i think there should be something reserved only for top clans that must pvp for that. Valakas and Antharas is really not enough. Let's say Istina is for everyone so there could be epic Istina neck just slighty better for PvP clans. Or something like old GF raid boss. Always the same respawn time that all known and came to kill it. It gave good exp and decent drops.
I hope now chronicle will bring some new stuff. New epics and character classes seem interesting
