Account holders were Completely found to be in Violation of your EUA with the use of 3rd party Injection Software and yet the accounts were not banned for the use of 3rd party software. 1 big issue on your server from what I see as member of the player Base.. removing the weapons' enchantments was nothing more than a slap on the hand with a flirty smile.. Those account holders KNEW exactly what they were doing. I fear that By not banning the accounts, that NcSoft is Allowing their selves to be open to a ton of discrimination lawsuits for any account holder who uses a 3rd party program and gets banned.. I am not at liberty to disclose any specifics but many accounts were permanently closed as a result of the investigation.
A real number would not reveal who, when, or how but would probably go a long way with the player base in showing them its real and you mean business.....

I have a list for him (Nova Clan). I also have a question for you Mr Producer. Is it possible for the people who did these exploits to "legitimize" their weapons with the ancient scrolls? Basically what I'm asking is what if this person made their weapon 15 with the exploit then used a legit scroll from your shop to make it 16? Pretty much, look what happened with the last Aden prize wheel. People couldnt be bothered to clean out the dimensionnal merchant(100 item limit), so they brought the servers and tripled the limit. 0.99$ a roll, and people were filling up.
However at the same time that silly wishing event was on and broken, but couldnt be bothered.
So yeah, you know at the end of the day who theyre watching out for.

You will make no harm if you ban all the characters that have a higher enchant than +8 on R grade weapon. All of these people have cheated somehow. You do not need to prove it. It is obvious.
Also you will make no harm if you log in game and ban all the bot trains + their owners main accounts. Many people will be happy and may find a reason to buy and use NCoin. Right now it is useless. If I want quick leveling, I will not buy a Rune I will pay a power leveller. If I want adena I will buy from a farmer, I will not buy some useless destiny packs.
Just start some mass and serious bans. Today a lot of people did not log their trains scared of the character creation prohibition, because they are afraid their bots can be banned and they can not replace them with a new toon.
At the same time I am suffering from this, because I can not level a toon to lvl 40 to get free shots, because I have only 11 mil adena.

can u answer on my post before? , also where was rr or enmity at rune tax when geno got farmed for 20min (till nova killed npc and geno lost castle) , or where are enmity/bregan/rr at oren castle when nova farmed fs , rumbo was w/o armor even.... In case any of you didn't know, all the servers are located in The Great State of Texas, which is a part of The Great United States of AMERICA!!! And in this country, we have laws that we follow. One of them is "if you are an assessory to a crime, you are just as guilty for the crime itself". If you used "real world money" to purchase hacked weapons, you are twice as guilty under the EULA. I doubt anyone didn't suspect that the weapons were hacked. Those that participated in this act deserve to be punished. Don't blame NCSoft for taking away your hacked weapons. It wasn't their fault that you participated in it. It is their right to take anything away in game as long as they have a good reason for it. Besides, everything in game is not really yours. Are you going to go after NCSoft for your awesome gear that you have in game when they pull the plug on the game? If you want your money back, go get it from the guy who scammed you in game.
Bots are bad, yes but it's easier to deal with a bunch of stupidheads running around with hacked weapons than the bots.

Person X gets to keep his weapon because he used the NCStore to buy 15 or more scrolls (I stress the "or more" part because of the rate of enchant has 1/3 failure)
Person Y risks losing his weapon through scamming and doesn't know really where or how that "someone" made that +16 Weapon, which also adds to the risk of losing it when it turns out that "someone" used illegal means to get that +16 glow.
One thing I learned in all of my years of playing this game is: TRUST NO ONE!! If one want to trust someone with one's 5bil weapon and ended up scammed, then it's all on the fool who trusted. Don't cry foul, just walk away.

I love the way that NCSoft Ignores the Cries (not literal tears) of the masses of Lineage 2 for the millionth time since I started playing this game.

I think that taking a +16 weapon from someone is bad, however I do not think that it is a just punishment. Its almost like if I was to steal a car, and when I get caught all I get done is taking away my drivers license. I'm not 100% sure that the subjects that owned the weapons involved in this ****/Exploit/Mod knew for sure that they were made by an ****, but I am confident enough to say that I'm 99% sure. NCSOFT blames the spammers/bot/china for the fall of L2, when its the people who play the game that cheat to win. As far as I know there is really only 3 ways to legally get a +16 weapon. 1. NcCoin for DEWR 2. Get Stupid lucky with normal enchants or 3. Buy it who did one of the first 2.
I honestly think that the DEWR was the stupidest thing to happen to L2 since NCSOFT was named the company who would be running it in the US, but I understand with the game going free to play, Devs had to put something in that would pull in the revenue, so from a business perspective it was a good move. IP Banning people from China? Did anyone notice any difference? I didn't think so. Bots were gone for all of about 20 minutes then back in full force.
I have 3 Easy steps that NCSOFT can follow to make this game a way better place for everyone.
1. Make common sense decisions. Honestly some things that you Devs do is STUPID
2. How about you ditch GameGuard and go with something a little better? They are out there, they work, this one doesn't at all.

Could it be permanetely ? Anyway on Lindivior the 40lvl shots toon ends and i really don't find any other reason why a legit player would complain. X was using regular scrolls avialable in game.
Maybe it is stupid to spend money in that way but it was his decision.
Y was using injection possible only by using 3rd, very advanced, programs, not possible to get in game.

+17/+10 shouldn't even really be in game. Excluding the ones made with just normal/bless scrolls. Official server is just a private server now. The people crying about the removed weapons are only doing so because their enemies had them and they didn't. The pvp became balanced and they couldn't handle it. So therefore they are crying about it. If they knew about the exploit on their side. Nothing would have been said. That's the sad truth.
I see us failing because when we had enmity we never lost a single dragon or mass pvp.

There is even a simpler way. Each Wednesday before putting the servers back up after maint, check museum statistics, mark the names that have 6days + Battle stance and being in party for the last week (even the HardCore korean farmers can't be in pary and battle stance that long), check their accounts > ban, then check the logs for the IPs they logged from > check which accounts were also logged from that same IP > Ban(the account, not the IP). Takes less then 10 mins.

So your complaint about archers doing low dmg was because you were fighting against people with +10 armor sets! :eek:
If you continue banhammer in the future you can scare people permanetly and prevent them from setting bots/using exploits = less lag/dc in servers,not ''godlike'' toons.

If I recall the Mysterious RBSPS is superior to normal BSSR due to the fact they are WEIGHTLESS. This is why you can carry a stupid amount of BSSR (like 2 million) and not have to worry about spending it all...heck from level 85 to 90 I only spend 130k of the freebies.
Also gathering the materials to craft is stupidly annoying. I don't think you understand how much money is spent actually gaining R-Crystals in contrast to the amount of RSS or RBSPS.

In case any of you didn't know, all the servers are located in The Great State of Texas, which is a part of The Great United States of AMERICA!!! And in this country, we have laws that we follow. One of them is "if you are an assessory to a crime, you are just as guilty for the crime itself". If you used "real world money" to purchase hacked weapons, you are twice as guilty under the EULA. I doubt anyone didn't suspect that the weapons were hacked. Those that participated in this act deserve to be punished. Don't blame NCSoft for taking away your hacked weapons. It wasn't their fault that you participated in it. It is their right to take anything away in game as long as they have a good reason for it. Besides, everything in game is not really yours. Are you going to go after NCSoft for your awesome gear that you have in game when they pull the plug on the game? If you want your money back, go get it from the guy who scammed you in game.
Bots are bad, yes but it's easier to deal with a bunch of stupidheads running around with hacked weapons than the bots.

in the short time i've been here, i noticed that nc wont ban their moneymakers and i understand why, they make the game free for me and all others that don't want to spend a cent for the game, so if you play for free, don't expect top service if you don't pay for it, i don't, so idc who gets banned, who's weap gets set back to +0, the server looks like a private, coz it basicaly is, just behind it is a "company" that got the rights to run few servers and not a group of random ppl
so i guess ppl shouldn't QQ so much about it, if you wanna top stuff over night, you gotta pay (cheat) for it and hope you paid enough money to nc that you don't get banned :D

Pretty much, not sure why you guys are crying about the weapons. It's unfair, but it runs the **** server. Hell I want to play my healer for fun with my friends, not the fight with a bunch of cheaters who are desperate for top.

After loosing several billions i asked them to track the trade. Which was done, even got confirmed by NCW.
But no compensation for the loss...
The top of that is that they now accuse ppl that felt into the buy/trade scam of exploided stuff that they might have known it.
And loosing several billions is not just a "inconvenience" for players....
Would like to know how it could be the best for all if the exploider got the adena, the buyers loose the Weapon/Armor they bought...

When this came out I WAS LIKE YES. Juji is on it a new regime banning bots and hacked items. A month goes by we get a new Community Manager and it is just like Sace never left.

I who play a lot in game, I see, that they really ban a lot of bots day by day.
So the GMs does their work.
But. For a normal protection from now the GM online or their activity isn't enough.
They need an anti bot system! Which one automatically able to ban or atleast detect the cheaters.
Also here another issue they easily could make it, that a new account creation would cost 400 NCoins, what the players will get back in game, but they need to pay out this 6,5$.
Than drastically would decrease the number of spammer bots. But those who did come back at least did pay for the NC 6,5$.
Cryo told once, that they need to put to L2 Store items what they can sell, but he did forget, that first of all HE HAS TO SELL THE GAME! What is mean, a player have to think that "this is a good place to play and will good to spend for it my money".
With some small changes they could 10-20 times more money too. Lineage 2 is a really a great game, what can make a lots of money, but I think they can't find the way how they can sell it.

The bug usage hasn't same penalty with the bot usage.
So, the thing that they did remove their weapon, because they did enchant it with bugs was a fair action, but if they use out again this bug, than yes might be they will get ban to sometime or to permanently.

Lordofspoil i see quite some posts from you, being a satisfied customer of NCWest L2 servers (and its possible that you are indeed a satisfied customer) , BUT most people here that you see QQing (or more likely stating the ***ing obvious) are NOT.
Dont try to give NC staff credit, their servers are FULL of bots, they do NOTHING to improve it, they have been doing it since early chronicles. They know it, we most definately know it.
They will not do what game rules suggest for, if they ban some bots its gonna be some randoms, no big names, cuz they do business with the big names and those adena sell companies and sites...
We see the same sites for months, even years, advertising everywhere.
They even congratulate known cheaters(by any means of the word,auto target,radar and so many other) in our face.
So, in the end noone is gonna do anything, not Cryo, not the new CM, not noone...as long as they get payed from the cheaters, those players can do w/e the *** they want and NC will say they do everything they can rofl. What a joke really.

Yes, I do agree with it, that sadly the "big names" get harder ban as some random new cheater.
That is right and this is really an issue what the NCwest could solve, but they don't do for it as much as they could.
Yes, sometimes I'm a little angry too to this situation.
But, I got also a lots of help from the NCsoft what I didn't get from another bigger or smaller companies.
So their support is much more better if we look everything as support of another companies.
Also, mostly on the official forum only ******s, most of players who actively play this games doesn't read the forum and when I ask them why they say, because the lots of ******s and idiots.

Look I do help leveling for people a guy for who I help to XP in a month just for this bought 2x200% rune of xp, 1 dragon nevit XP all of them 7 days packages and about 20 vitality potions.
I did offer to him buy some stuffs:).
I think I would be good marketing manager at the NC. I know what they would buy and see in the L2 Store:). What also they keep to fair too. Finally how to sell them these stuffs:).
To all of you people who don't know why he sold it I will simply explain it. The P.Atk of the daggers do not really increase the dmg that he does with stabs, it is merely used for slap dmg in olympiad. Why does a guy who is going to med school need a weapon like that if he won't be going for hero ever again? ++++ Dagger weapons are for olympiad purposes or slapping monsters
Welcome to Lineage 2 Goddess Of Destruction , where actually daggers p.atk change the damages! papparapaaa :)) Sadly this is not as it was use to work long time ago where daggers was going around with S grade weapon againts S84 armors landing lot of damages anyway :D now p.atk increase blows damages ^^ just for do you ar example :
Even if atm critical power > p.atk it still give effect on blows (and actually p.atk always increased ur blow damage , but the effect what so lol that noone cared so far ^^)
Also i think that he was a cheater , 'cause noone with brain may do a weapon R99 +16 , blessed , double SA for sell it later , so he knew that was an exploit and was trying to get back more adenas as he can for make the lowbye get the reset/ban ^^

+10% on normal hit ll be 19.559 dmg. spend billions on 12 ewrD for + 2438dmg is not a smart move.

No, it has the same progress as before. The skill power is X amount of P. Atk, what will add this amount of P. Atk to your P. Atk when you use the skill.
So, if you have more P. Atk. you make more skill damage too, but since the skills what you use depend on the Critical Damage, the most important, that you have as much Critical Damage boost as much possible if you want to make a very powerful hit.
If we look dagger type classes, than the P. Atk. will only important first of all for the Othell Fortune Seeker who mostly will a kinda of frontal dagger, who will first make good damage from normal hits this is why they need only STR dye and Dual Dagger.
But for Othell Wind Rider, Othell Ghost Hunter, Othell Adventurer, who will use their skill as they do now and did before the Goddess of Destruction, will necessary the DEX and Single Dagger.
The Dual Dagger only useful for the Clone Attacks, but to another skills the Single Dagger is much better.
Concretely, what did you do regarding those offenders ? Some details would scare people a bit more before using such exploits :>

Vali has proved a valuable asset to thier team. When I report directly to him a player openly admitted on the forums he buys and sells accounts. He quickly removed the post and did nothing to the player who is still on here posting! Way to fit right in Vali!
Last week we have conducted an enforcement action to close an exploit that allows players to bypass the intended way the enchantment system works.
After investigation we took action against the offenders and fixed the exploit.
We hope that all players within Lineage II refrain from using exploits such as this and play the game without resorting to exploitation of technical loopholes.

I got a question to ask since we are talking about security. Why there is no more security implemented which would stop ppl using 3 party soft and therefore there is bot problem and server overloaded with billions of adena? Take Innova as exaple if you want to see serious bot protection etc
I can't recall a Community Manager having the POWER/authority to ban in game accounts.
