At night I up my char 80 lvl and take gift from PtA. And if now new gift be better - I will cry in WC:(
good. atm after last ban hammer -1k on naia, in evening online ~5.2k :) so no problem with logging in after crash or disconnect.
btw that event is worst event ever was launched on ncsoft servers.. worse was tersil lights event after GoD launch, when you can't log since ~14-15h gmt+2, but this one... I have no words to describe it :)

You MUST ban 2k accounts EVERY WEEK, and all will be ok, so no need such extremes for whole community like disabling character creation.
Why GM (maybe GM's) banned SOME bot's (bot's groups) only in high lvl loc's? Orbis, Harnak, EG, and probably some more loc's. But why not in Giant's Cave, Stakato Nest and many others, still filled by bots? Maybe you need to show someone that servers have "good online"? And you will pay alot $ for upgrading servers because all slots filled again?
Just ban bot's constantly, every week or every month in random times, random loc's.

There is a certain logic. Bot train's in high lvl loc's - this replacement characters for some ppl, who use 3th party software like *******. And if the main character of these people should be banned, they will take the same level from this train.
But all this is not a good solution. I would say - is a simulation solutions. Must make the protection of ******* and then many problems will disappear by themselves.

I think only change will be that it will contain SSS and BSSS 70-85. And they'll remove the 3hr XP rune for below 85, to prevent bots from being powerleveled in Swampland.

How is it going to be important now that there are no new toons being created on Naia and Chronos? The certificates were being used for free weightless shots. NCSoft is selling weightless shots in the store. Why sell something when it's given away free? You all screamed for a change and for the GMs to do something about bots, shots, bugs and crashes. Careful what you wish for. I see a big change in L2 future, ending with server merges.

you got to love tards y hope you will kill bots and farm all day until you get 99 main and dual and make + 16 weapon like allother tards who have bots partys and after all your (hard )work to play alone in the server with no real player just your boots and your mobs
i think the new character creations are being handled wrong. i think it's just an excuse for you to not have to do your job properly. i remember in old times when GM's actually showed up in game, ran thru the catas and banned the bot trains. ... good times...
now preventing players from creating new characters has been done in the past before and proven as a hasty and bad decision. it's putting a band-aid on a tumor. instead of preventing the making of new players, it should prevent new account creations but allow new characters on the existing accounts. the counter for the server traffic would be the same and your freshly banned bot trains would move to the other servers instead (i am not sure if thats a good thing or not). to me it looks more like that start to tolerate botting, as long as its on empty servers.

It seems the talk of the town is about new character creation... in this instance I only need to make a new character in order to get a mentee cert for making a shot dwarf because i know the free shots will end someday.
I would hope they can make all lvl 40+ automatically have mentee capabilities(cert or no cert)
Another option would be to make certs a one time use for awakened toons...
since nothing has been updated yet I can only assume that "changes to path to awakening" means something to do with the certs.
One final comment, I had a permared that I worked(died) the karma off of back in the C5 days... a lvl 36 Spellhowler(2nd class completed) shows on the PtA "Future goal" for cert... but once re-leveled to 40 no longer elgible
You dont need free items to play a game . what are you ? ******s? go make items ssr bssr and try the best for your char. Come on. Dont be weak. I went 77 lvl with alacrity potion soloing with a tank. No common items, no buffs. 77 lvl in a year and more. Now you went 95 in some months and you cry about ssr/bssr.............................................
if some have problems in chronos and naia about character creation are off .. come to play in bartz or others servers and the problem is finished

first off, i applaud NCwest for stopping character creations on naia and chronos. It was the first step to cleaning up those servers from the bots. The banning of the bots and exploiters were another step in the right direction. Now if they can only take action on the use of illegal programs, then the true clean up of these two servers would be complete.
As for the fix with the mentee certificates, that should have been done a long time ago. It was an exploit itself....doing a mentee on an account to claim the rewards on another character on the same account. those rewards were meant for the character that completed the quests. ok, so you don't get free soul/spirit shots, there's other ways to create them. If they increase the drop rate of smaller items like jewelry or armor parts, awakened characters can make R crystals out of them and craft shots by themselves (they do have common craft shot rec's ingame).
So i wish people would stop crying about no account creations or NC not banning botters, because they are finally starting to do something about it!
... hmm i cant speak for all but my fear are not the Soulshots - more adena for real player crafters would be nice i think :)

It isn't no account creations though, it is no CHARACTER creations. Character creations affects EVERYONE not just bots. Why? Because, I have 2 accounts that I have logged on all day, adding 2 characters to the server load, however, I took the time to make an Iss Enchanter before I made my main character, and now I can't make a main character on my other account because I cant make characters, me making a new character on my account that I log in every day would change nothing on the server, it would still only be 2 characters on the server. I wish that had done it so that no new accounts could be created in which that if you didn't already have a character on the Chronos or Naia server, you can't make a character for them. The way they chose about it was a bad decision that basically punished everybody for the bots. There are plenty of people that want to make new characters for reason other than exploiting the mentee certs.

it Seems the entire mentor system will change, eg;
1) Mentee status was changed from requiring a character to possesses to mentee certificate to now just being level 84 or below.
2)changes the Mentee status depending on the mentee certificate is no longer new and dormant accounts payable does not.
3) The "Mentee's Appreciation" buff has been changed to 5% from 10%.
4) The "Mentor's Guidance" buff has been changed to 50% from 200%.

I don't know if you guys have been paying attention to the evolution of the L2 store, but all the cosmetic stuff is being removed because no one is *** buying it! When's the last time you saw someone driving around with a dwarven super cycle? The NA market isn't interested in items that have no ingame power boosting effects.
I don't see any harm as long as they do it once every 6 months, if you dont want to pay 3k ncoins for 6 months then lol at you really..

2. In next update appears the Raid Boss Shirts what will have effect like a +7 Paagrio or Maphr Shirt, so these items won't be useful after it.

We just can say, that those who wish spend to these items some NCoins can get some content from the Chapter 3 earlier than those who doesn't wish to pay for it.

The servers are located in a capitalist pigdog country, of course they will sell stuff to make money. :p In all seriousness, you can play for free but the game isn't really free. Someone's gotta pay the bills. The GMs don't work "Pro Bono". This is a business, not a charity. I do look good in camo. :D

Looks like only a few of those skills can be used in Oly and for the most part they would only be helpful for certain classes in certain situations, with an exception of the invincibility skill.
Outside of oly I don't see these skills being much of a factor especially in large scale pvp and it seems the odds of getting anything good is going to be extremely low.

lol NCSoft is trying hard to squeeze every last dollar out of people. Tbh, this is dreadful long term marketing. Giving away a handful of vit items was a great way to show newbies the benefits of using vitality items. That a handful of people made high level alts to get some free stuff is not likely indicative of the broader player base.

The problem is, as some people would bother to lv up a toon in his main to 40 to get the mentee's certificate to get free shots/set, some other people would bother to lv up a toon to 85 in order to get the runes/vitality potions/sgc/attribute crystals and stones, etc.
But you just have killed the incentive for new players (not talking about the ones who already have friends with iss or clans)
The solution was indeed, apply the reward system via mail exclusive for the toon, and make the items non-tradeable.

because the character I wanted the name of was being deleted at the time. I have just recently started playing again and I DID plan to main my Iss however I decided to not make it my main so I started the deletion of the character whose name I wanted to use again. However while it was being deleted they stopped the character creations.

Imagine all the ant queen rings and vitality potions these people were getting and trading to their main accounts. Then you delete the other accounts, wait and then start again.
Now, couple this with lagging sales at NCWest and you'll eventually have someone in their corporate office that'll get the bright idea that this type of behavior may be whats eating into their profits. So they lower the prices on XP and vitality stuff, then they remove the freebies. If this doesn't work, the next step will be shutting down the servers. This is a SURE sign that NCWest is in trouble and if you guys want to keep playing this game, you'd better start "donating" a little cash a month to keep it going.

It's nothing gloom and doom about it, it's just cold hard facts. The doors stay open as long as money comes in. When there's enough money coming in, a certain equilibrium is established. Sure a few minor changes are made in order to increase profits because of the fallacy that was coined "if a business isn't growing, it's dying", but you try not to change to much because you don't want risk major changes that may make the business go downhill. When extreme changes are made rapidly, its because you're already going downhill and you're trying to turn around a losing venture. The types of changes they're making with events you can't complete without spending money, removing XP and vitality items from the path to awakening, and lowering the prices on the store items means problems, my friend.
Please care a little bit about mystic classes !!! why are there only crit and damage for physical attackers ? what about m.att and m.crit in augmentation for mystic classes ? It does take some time to actually get up there if you're a legit player.
However...the amount of bots make it extremely easy to exploit the system, especially for those element crystals.
It isn't hard to make a billion adena anymore lol.
Game will be nine years old soon and honestly I thought it would be doing better than this. It's lack of support that's killing it. Then the creation restrictions on Naia and Chronos. I guess I see that situation for both sides. It stops more bots,but then it also restricts new players that might be legit.

Game will be nine years old soon and honestly I thought it would be doing better than this. It's lack of support that's killing it. Then the creation restrictions on Naia and Chronos. I guess I see that situation for both sides. It stops more bots,but then it also restricts new players that might be legit.
Then seeing that RMT is the only way to top, they fall into the same suit.

Try doing a group without a healer and tell me how well that goes.

If you like this game then appreciate NCwest puts stuff in the NCstore that motivates people to spend real world money. It is those transactions that keep the servers open. This idea that everything should be free and equal even if you contribute NOTHING financially to keeping the game going is silly. I get it you are broke but you love the game. i believe it was HavOx. no idea who you are and yes he was briefly in our clan for half a year about 5 years ago and then became clan leader from honorguardians after playing on euro server. that was arround 2009-2010 or so. the only questions remaining is who are you, why you spread lies and why you pretend to HavOx and at same time say that i am HavOx.
